Re: Bowser's Fury Details Revealed: "Free-Roam" Gameplay, amiibo Unlocks, Co-Op And More Explained

Radbot42

I hate ports of recent games with added content. It's like they want people to skip generations at this point. The game was fun but I still have it. A short addition does not make it worthy of picking it up again. It looks fun, but is it $60 fun? Also, do I have to play through the entire game to unlock it or can you play it from the start? They need to start selling these "extras" separately for people that have already played through the games. Guess I'll watch some annoying streamer play it.

Re: Talking Point: Are You A Player Or Collector?

Radbot42

I've become a collector, but now I've got a few rules:

Rule 1: don't buy a game you know will have a bunch of patches and DLC until the devs are finished fixing the game.

Rule 2: Only buy a game if there is a collectors edition with stuff you actually want. If the collector's edition isn't worth it, wait to pick up the game

Rule 3: If the game is very niche and something that might be hard to find in several years get it now.

Rule 4: Multiplayer games that will not be active in a few years jump up the list. Don't make it your main game, but do enjoy the hell out of it

Rule 5: Try to finish a game before starting another. (3 games at a time tops)

Rule 6: Games that are given as gifts get to jump to the top of what you are playing so if they ask how the game is, you can give an honest answer.

Re: Nicalis Is Trying To Erase Free Versions Of Cave Story From The Internet

Radbot42

What a ***** storm. I remember when it was coming out. They took forever to release the game. It was delayed for a very long time with no explanation as to why. They didn't tell the fans anything. I won't be buying anything from them anymore which sucks cause of games like the end is nigh (spiritual successor to super meat boy) and runner 3 (continuation of the bit.trip series) who knows what indie classics they will take next

Re: Where To Pre-Order Monster Hunter Rise And The Three amiibo

Radbot42

Yeah I don't know how or why the shipping is seperate. If they come in one box im contacting corporate. If I order multiple things from a store and they ship seperatly I still only pay one shipping fee? They know they aren't lasting long and are trying to squeeze as much money out of the consumer as possible

Re: Sega Reveals Sonic's 30th Anniversary Logo, Will Share Additional Plans "In The Coming Months"

Radbot42

I feel like every year is the _5th anniversary of some game. Only anniversaries that should matter for games should be 1, 5, 25, 50, 100, 150, 200 etc.

Having some big celebration every year (that isn't even big) just gets tiring. And then when it comes to a company like Nintendo with Mario's anniversary this year, and then Zelda's next year. Having them back to back just makes it feel like Nintendo is riding an endless anniversary train, especially when you put in all their other franchies in there.

Re: Paper Mario Producer Says Team Is "No Longer Able To Graphically Represent Individual Characteristics" In Toad NPCs

Radbot42

Seems like this has become an issue as miyamoto has taken a more guidance role. As he's no longer developing any big games he's able to look at them all, including these dogs games he used to not be wall that involved in. He's making decisions for games he's never made. He's not a fan of story or RPG which makes sense as to why this series had gone downhill. I hate to say it but it's time for him to go. Either that or just give him a game project for him to work solo on and then just keep rejecting it.

Re: Nexomon: Extinction Gets Three New Trailers And A Confirmed Release Date

Radbot42

@eaglebob345 if anything is more about the clicks. Would you read an article talking about the new monster collecting game or read one stating it's the new Pokemon knock off. Attaching a big name to something smaller makes it easier for people to want to look at it. I do wish they would stop advertising games as the next Pokemon, dark souls, Zelda, etc.

Re: Feature: The 9 Strangest Choices For Licensed Karting Games

Radbot42

So my sister bought me M&M kart racing for Xmas instead of Mario Kart. I tried it out because she got it for me and it was by far the worst game I've ever played. The reasoning she said she didn't get me Mario Kart was because she doesn't like it when games have you attacking other things (the premise of pretty much all games). When I took it to the store and swapped it for Mario Kart I pretended they were the same price when in actuality I basically had to pay for most of the game. I had a job and it was fine, but looking back on the memory it was all kind of funny.

Re: Talking Point: Does Animal Crossing: New Horizons' Rollout Of Event Updates Make It Feel 'Incomplete'?

Radbot42

To me, it's more that the updates don't add enough. Okay, we got swimming and underwater creatures. The feature works exactly the same way it did in New Leaf though. The only difference is the otter. How much does he really add though? Not much. I'd much rather have had the villagers be able to swim too. Maybe some water furniture that we can put around the island.

I'd also love to see the animal villagers interact with things. We place chairs and what do they do? Sit on the floor under a tree. If you want them to sit in chairs you need to limit the number of trees you have. It's not a big deal but it's about the little things. The little things start to pile up though and become a big thing.

Also, when is the next store upgrade? We all know it should be coming. They might be giving us monthly updates for the game, but it feels too little too late. They aren't pushing the envelope as fas as we know they could be.
