I think a lot of people seem to be dancing around the fact that this game has a 90% chance of being mediocre at best with Arzest at the helm.

Also I'm not one to dislike a game because it's different, this just looks really dull and happens to be different at the same time.

@JaxonH 45$ for a season pass is still too much.

Surprise, people don't like scummy business practices. And a season pass that costs more than the game itself releasing at launch day IS scummy no matter how you look at it.

I don't care enough for nu-FE anyway so I'll gladly give this DLC a pass.

Definitely not for me, but I'm glad Switch owners who haven't played the original will get to enjoy this.

This looks GROSS but at least it isn't Pikmin 4.

The dual pistol weapon and how it works reminds me of Tracer a little bit.

@ProjectCafe Me. It looks like the exact same experience (I don't care about portability) and I don't like buying consoles at launch.

Potential Switch launch money will go into Zelda and NiER Automata instead!

Also heard from a few people that the game runs just as well on the Wii U, which would make sense since it was being developed for that system for most of its duration. Does anyone here own both versions, or have played both at the very least to confirm this is the case?

Hopefully this is the start of a golden age for Nintendo. After the "dark age" that was 2015 and 2016, I'm beyond excited for Zelda, ARMS, Snipperclips, Splatoon 2, Mario, Xenoblade, Pikmin 4 and Fire Emblem: Echoes.

@invictus4000 Ye, the fragmented world was the thing I disliked the most. Every area was a pain to go through in the later portions of the game.

@SLIGEACH_EIRE Skyward Sword had a couple of things that I disliked with how it was designed, but overall I thought it was really good! The story, music and characters are decent and I loved Skyloft.

Hype for the Switch - Not enough money sadly, I'd love to get one at launch but I can wait

It's okay. I'll wait for Mario though. That game is going to be incredible.

Good results overall. I think the winners deserved their respective awards, although I would argue DOOM technically had better game design than Overwatch. Both games were great though!

@KTT Kirby, Fire Emblem and Monster Hunter come to mind. Rhythm Heaven wasn't a major release but still extremely fun.

@G-Boy I don't want to spoil major stuff for anyone, but things like writing an essay for Mettaton would have to be cut or botched at the very least. It wouldn't be a major issue but I think it would take away some of the charm.

The temptation to buy the new console at launch for Zelda is very, very real. I'm not sure if I should cave in or not.

What's a good place to start? I got one of the PS1 titles on the Vita and it didn't really grab me. Or should I just pick up Stardew instead?

This is fine though? Especially for what it's trying to accomplish. I don't really like games that overstay their welcome.

If you're still not convinced may I add Portal to the examples of "good and short" games. It just comes down to the price.

I've been on board since day one with BOTW. I don't care about the traditional conventions at all, I just want the best game and freshest experience possible, and things look good on that front.

Nothing beats local multiplayer! Some of my fondest childhood memories come from playing co-op games with friends and family on the DS and Wii.

@Haywired If you should ever support a Fire Emblem game, it's this one in my opinion. It goes back to the roots of the series while bringing a lot of new things to the table. Besides, if this sells well, we could get remakes of the other Japan exclusive FE games, which is always a good thing.

I want to be angry about this but I really can't. The game is going to be great anyway and the extra dungeon probably won't be that cool.

"Hey guys, we're going to charge you 20 dollars for stuff that is normally in a Zelda game anyway and we're gonna be super vague about other information and not even wait until the game is out to announce this! Pay up suckers!"

I got my old Wii up and working again so I don't really mind if there's no GCN VC. And if there's a Gamecube game I want that's too expensive... well... yeah.

@OorWullie I mean... that's more excusable but there's no reason to not include this "harder" mode with the base game anyway. I guess we'll have to wait and see though.

Paying for a brand new story and content? Sure, I'm down for that. BoTW is obviously a labor of love and I'd be happy to pay for more.

Paying for a hard mode and a challenge dungeon, stuff that's usually in a normal Zelda game anyway? I don't see how anyone could defend this practice.

Nice. The more people get to play Splatoon, the better.

I really hope Splatoon 2 becomes more competitive and e-sportsy and stuff. Splatoon 1 was really neat and was close to having a "meta" and all that fluff.

@The__Goomba Digital distribution is really great on Steam. It's okay on PS4, lots of good sales there. Not too sure about Xbox.

Nintendo still has a lot to learn in the digital department.

@KirbyTheVampire Jap VA's having exaggerated voices is true for the most part but there are plenty of anime where the characters sound like normal people and do a good and realistic job of portraying emotions.

I see the R rating as a good thing as it lets the writer make the show he wants without many restrictions. Whether or not that's a good thing remains to be seen.

Regardless, I'm quite optimistic and I don't think people should be judging the show as a whole because of a producer's idiotic comments.
