The Pokédex keeps growing, and as with previous generational releases Pokémon Sun and Moon have delivered their fair share of brand new 'mon. Mid-gen arrivals also continue, as this past weekend The Pokémon Company teased a new Pocket Monster that'll tie in with the next movie for the franchise - Pokémon! I Choose You!
It seems to be a Fighting / Ghost-type, and the name Marshadow makes sense when you see the teaser reveal.
More details are coming soon, but in the meantime let us know what you think of its design in the comments.

Need to get back onto Sun and Moon to finish the Pokedex. Got sidetracked with loads of other games since January...
That... was a very short video.
Awesome, already completed my Pokédex and can't wait to recomplete it. This would be great in competitive... though I never got around to it with Sun/Moon. The grind is real!
What a cute Pokemon! I wasn't that excited to catch 'em all this time round with Sun and Moon even though I loved the game but for some reason seeing things like this definitely make me want to pick up the game again and just explore a bit more of Alola.
I expect this Pokémon to have some new, more powerful form in whatever the next Pokémon game ends up being.
Haven't even finished Moon yet. Just arrived on Poni when Zelda came out and took over most of my freetime. And now that I'm finished with that, I am busy with Persona 5. Well, in the end, it was my fault that I lost interest. Trained too many Pokémon to be done with the game in a timely fashion. Maybe I'll start a new game on Sun and strictly stay with a 6 Pokémon team this time, we'll see.
We knew about this before the game even launched
It's a pretty great design honestly, and the typing if cool too. Hopefully it's available soon and not a year after Japan gets it.
Aaawww, look at the adorable pint-sized powerhouse :3
Marshadow is pure hax. Like seriously, its the strongest pokemon we'll have gotten in ages. Its stat spread and its signature move will dominate for quite awhile - and then there's that unique typing... Awesome!
It'zs no surprise since dataminers had already found out about this when the game launched.
It's typing doesn't make sense to me if it's name and design inspiration are based on a marshmallow... I still think it might be Mars-shadow... being somehow tied into the cover legendaries.
He's so cuuute * - *
Might have been a good time to mention the "intimidate" code for a few mega evolutions.
It's cute for a ghost. I like this one.
When can we get one
Think that marshmallow was over the fire too long. o3o
I kid, actually really like its design. Very simple, which is refreshing. I feel like some are so over the top it almost distracts from the gameplay. But, I'm just an old man stuck in 1998.
Am I playing Pokemon XD, because that is a Shadow Teddiursa.
Yeah, Marshadow was unofficially known about since day one, and even before that. I think the real news here is how they are seemingly retconning Brock and Misty out of existence in the latest trailer for the upcoming Pokemon movie...
I get him when it comes to Switch
I really love the design for this one. I don't think the name has anything to do with marshmallows, though.
...But now I want a roasted marshmallow.
Looks alright
@ThatNyteDaez I mean, we did get the Tapus and some UB's... those are pretty OP.
He looks amazing! Just wish it wouldn't take so long before he arrives... Usually, there's a very long period between when new Pokés are officially unveiled and when you can actually acquire them.
This guy is gonna be a huge threat with that typing and signature move.
Zelda has stolen all my time but not that I've beat Ganon and almost finished all the shrines and memories it'll be time to go back to my one true love.
@TommyTLG We weren't supposed to though. Imagine the surprise of seeing it now! :0 But, the Internet has spoiled us away from out fun yet again.
