Re: Random: Smash Bros. Fans React To Geno's Return As A Mii Fighter Costume

Many of you know I'm a veteran of this site. Even a broken clock is right twice a day. I'm a middle-aged man now, and Geno came out when I was 11, my daughter's age now. I remember the display at the store by my house. I remember booting up a copy I borrowed from a friend who would later destroy my life. The super nintendo controller was light in my hands. Lighter than it's own cord. It was the first time Mario's world felt like a place. The composer of Geno's theme "beware the forest mushrooms" went on to write music for Kingdom Hearts and Xenoblade Chronicles. I moved on to other games, too. The Geno DLC came out after I had to sell the console he was on to make rent. I missed him that time around. I saw him in Superstar Saga, though. I'll only allow myself so much disapointment. This is what I'll say. Better than an assist trophy, and hopefully he's back again. Maybe in Mariokart.

@thiswaynow Your point is valid: a work should be criticized for what is is, not what it is not. Only, you have singled me out and decided what kind of gamer I must be without knowing in order to insult me, when I was honest about my experience. Why would you want to be the person who makes people feel the way that's supposed to feel? My point is as valid as yours, because while a game should be criticized for what it is, this game's marketing claimed it has, which it has not. They made a TRAILER for two characters who are in a couple of CUTSCENES and are NPCs, which is a deceptive ad tactic. You could even say the other ad "It's time for you to learn what happenned 100 years ago" was deceptive, given the story. We all spent the same amount of money on the game, and I can tell you from Reddit, I have taken my time. You could "burn" through the main quest in like five hours, agreed, and I'm on hour 42. See: "I hate when youtube thumbnails have spoiled 'nth' past video games for me." Also, even God gets angry, so don't try to ride people for their emotional state, which prevents you from sharing your value with them.

@Dracavius Honestly, it takes me out of my leasure when a game feels like it was crafted for a particular audience, and I'm not invited unless I can pay. But, like, that company doesn't get my internet money, obviously nintendo would get some change, no... Comcast gets my money, and I get to feed their ugly little monopoly. See, to me, comcast's flat rate is to high for a service that they're not still installing at the raw industrial level for 1.me 2.nintendo 3.MonsterDungeonTeam so what is comcast charging me for? Electrical signals? Then what am I paying the electric company for? ISPs want something for nothing in situations like this. Use of lan cables does not cause wear and tear... ergo, internet shouldn't cost so much. In the mean time, having an undiscussed HUGE paywall in games like Monster Dungeon... I can't enjoy myself as well. It's like an option on the menu that says "you're broke, remember, loser?" Or something like that. Thanks for asking Dracavius. May your moves in Smash always have top priority.

I was pretty impressed until "play onlin" popped up. It's like, if it's a free feature.... I shouldn't complain. I understand why they include that, but I don't like throwing away $60 a month on a yearly contract so I can play online with cheaters and gaers who play all day. The thrill of playing with friends and meeting new allys is big, but the desrtoyer-class tanks with rocket-launching micro-purchased skin-wearers is smothering. Online play hype is DOA. For me. Cheers if you love it, though.

Climbed the cliff-trees by the canon in Delfino Plaza before I got the rocket nozzle with a spin jump, wall kick and hover nozzle. I also beat the pachinko machine first try (somebody buy me a lottery ticket). I jumped the gap in "Blooper Surfing Safari" but the game knew. If you run a legitimate lap, though, the clerk boots you (after insulting you). One of those dread levels that you think of and decide to not play a game.
