A brand new trailer has been released for Clive ‘N’ Wrench, an upcoming 3D platformer from Dinosaur Bytes Studio and Numskull Games.
As you can see from the gameplay footage on show, this one's heavily inspired by the classic 3D platformers of like Spyro the Dragon and Jak & Daxter. It stars a rabbit and monkey duo who must jump, roll, hover, and spin their way through a whole host of "wacky" worlds.
Originally, the game was aiming for a 2020 launch on Switch, but the date has since been pushed back to next year. Hopefully it won't be too long before we hear of a more precise release window as development starts to wrap up.
If you missed it, the game is also being treated to a physical release.

Love my PS2/GC era 3D platformers, so definitely gonna give it a go with a physical copy.
I think the game's developer is one person which is really impressive! and would like to support as he's apparently worked on this for near a decade according to a YouTuber CrystalFissure who recently checked out a beta of the game.
The cameo shown in the trailer is really cool too!
Really cute 3D platformer. 😀
I will keep my eyes peeled on it.
I have high hopes for this one. That handheld footage looked really good, too
Loony Toons and Curious George
Nice to see Trowzer from Yooka-Laylee making a cameo appearance.
Definitely interested I’ll keep an eye on it
Hah, Trowzer gets a cameo, but not Yooka and Laylee? How strange.
Looks awesome! Trowser is a cool choice. I wonder when PlayTonic will make good on creating a game starring its other characters. I'll be buying this game.
Looks awesome!!
Looks good, the movements even look like they come from that era.
It looks good but I absolutely don’t want to Google the characters since we all know what happened with Zootopia because of the furries.
This looks great!
@nessisonett never had the urge to google zootopia until I read you comment
There's a house level?! I got the best kind of childhood vibes from this game, Banjo-Kazooie, Spyro, Toy Story 2: Buzz Lightyear to the Rescue, Star Fox Adventures, etc. all rolled into one beautiful looking title!
This is the first non-Nintendo 3D platformer that has looked really promising to me in many years.
That the Nesquick rabbit?
The game itself looks incredible. I will definitely be getting this one.
Potentially looks like a good game. I'm into it!
Too many delays. This has been one hell of a disappointing year.
At least Sackboy is around the corner for PS4.
I truly love the look of this game!
Wow, this trailer is much better than the ones before! Love the music, pacing, presentation, it really seems they stepped the production quality up a notch, which of course makes me hopeful that the game is just as lively.
That brings me to my only concern so far: maaaybe the characters look a bit stiff in places? Or maybe not just them but the environment as well? I'm saying this because i love the look of it so far and just hope it won't be a "i would love to love it, but can't" kind of deal. I feel like this trailer is really really charming and i'm really excited for this.
Also it's just amazing to think how this game looked at the beginning and what a long way it has come now, damn. Seriously impressive and i have huge respect for this dedication!
@ryancraddock Quick question? Is this also releasing on PS4?
Oh, it has a big house level! Nathaniel Bandy's gonna love this one.
Anyone else see the graphic and think Reader Rabbit?
I've had it on preorder for a while now. Good to see the extra development time is being used to make the game even better.
@KisekiFan7 Just Switch and Steam I believe!
I haven’t been able to find the answer to this question. Since the game has been brought up, I’ll try again.
I have Yooka Laylee and the sequel download, ready to play. I want to play the first game, but seeing how I played Odyssey this year, I’m afraid of it being a letdown. Especially after the ok reception. But, I really want to play the sequel! Do I have to play the first game, in order to enjoy the sequel?
I'm so excited for this game. Have been following development on Twitter and its great to see how far they've come! Really looking forward to this, but fine to wait as long as they need to finish
Woah, their making a curious george game?
Looks amazing! Cannot wait
Look good, remember hearing about this years ago when he was added in super indie kart
I'm finally polishing off Yooka Laylee, so seeing the series get representation as cameos makes me very glad the series isn't forgotten.
Game itself looks great. I'm definitely getting Jak vibes and cannot wait for the inevitable angsty sequel.
@Bermanator
"Oh, it has a big house level! Nathaniel Bandy's gonna love this one."
What "Nathaniel Bandy"?

Yes. I'm very much a sucker for 3D platformers. Keep 'em coming!
That whistle music is well cute!
Cant stop thinking Ratchet & Clank with that name. Looks interesting.
I guess we're at the point where we're going to get a ton of 3D platformers? If so, I'm not complaining, at all.
Looks like a furry game
I'm ok with that
@NinChocolate looks like the Nesquik bunny and Banjo had a baby.
Game looks very well made though, excited to give it a play even if the characters are a little uninspiring.
Remains to be seen how the final game will look and run on Switch. I'm kinda skeptical as to whether or not the trailer above is actually showing Switch footage. As awesome a game as A Hat in Time was, it didn't run all that great on Switch, and I'm a bit wary of games like that now.
But this looks promising at least!
@Mario500 He plays Mario 64 a lot.
Looks great and a physical already confirmed? I’m in!
Am I the only one who saw the pic first and then immediately read "Chip 'n Dale" instead?
@Kriven Not a bad hunch. You figure the big baddie will be a giant angry farm animal?
It looks ok. I'll pass on it.
