Re: Poll: What Are Your Nintendo Switch Pre-Order and Launch Day Plans?

Pj1

Well I pre-ordered a Switch from Game about a week before the presentation then got a an email from them that I am first in line in for a grey bundle, I am hoping that the nearer the time they will give me the choice between grey and neon. However I don't think I'll get the neon bundle sadly, I asked the guys in Game the other day and they said that their initial pre-orders are sold out. I asked them if they are doing a midnight launch they said they think so but check nearer the time!

On Amazon.uk I pre-ordered Zelda BOTW and at the moment it is coming up as (I'm a prime customer too) so that's coming up as £48.00 and the Wii-U version is £38.00. So I am pleased about that, also I ordered a 64GB micro card, I pre-ordered a case and a Switch pro controller from the Nintendo UK Store (cheaper than anywhere else too) I'm kinda thinking Game will 'sell up' on launch night and if it's not £60.00 I will pick up Super Bomberman for it. Also I am considering getting an extra charger, that's £25.00 (which is quite expensive) and neon joy cons. I'll see if again I pre-order from either Amazon or the Nintendo store nearer the time.

Oh yeah I hope nearer the time Nintendo does a direct as I really need to know about VC! my phone has a countdown timer on it and at the moment it is saying 32 days till launch!

Re: Nintendo Will Replace Your Dead Switch Battery, At A Cost

Pj1

@SLIGEACH_EIRE You really don't like Switch do you? if you do when are you gonna get one if at all?

Good news, as long as it doesn't go like my Iphone, that is it dies when the battery is 30% and when it's 1 or 2% it's fine to use for a short time period and my 6s needs to be charged every day.... Doh.

Re: Guide: The Best Nintendo Switch Accessories

Pj1

@JamesR It's strange and you would have thought Amazon.uk would be the same as Nintendo UK store or cheaper?

I've pre-ordered the Pro Controller from the Nintendo store, sorry Nintendo Life but I ordered it before you did this article. I'm not ordering any joycons until I know there will be different designs. I'm hoping it will be good to use the pro controller, were there any available to use at the events? and if so what was Sonic Mania like to play with it?

Re: Guide: A Breakdown of Confirmed Nintendo Switch Games and Release Dates

Pj1

I pre-ordered BOTW for the Wii-U in November/December on Amazon.uk, so I might not bother at first get that version for Switch. I am tempted to get Super Bomberman for Switch if it's cheaper than Zelda, I'm on a budget so that game will be a good choice I hope. Also it's my Birthday in April so I would like to ask for Mario Kart 8 deluxe and could maybe ask for BOTW for that. Also if America get Sonic Mania before we do in the UK I'll import that one for sure. Thank You for unlocking region locking Nintendo.....

Re: Amazon UK Confirms Time for Nintendo Switch Pre-Orders

Pj1

I pre-ordered with Game last Thursday, I am hoping that Nintendo will ask Game nearer the time how many units they need to fulfill orders. The only console I've ever pre-ordered with game was the DS lite, they were fine*. Looking forward to a midnight launch if Game do one, however I'm a prime member (Amazon) I might had mine a day earlier. Everyone (just about) got their Nes mini's a day early. However I wasn't a prime member then.

@cfgk24 if this is any consolation last night I had three hours, went to work and now at 12.22AM I am still awake counting down the hours for the presentation.

However if I go asleep before 4AM I catch up with the presentation when I wake up.

*Actually I have had problems with Game in the past with pre-orders.

Re: Fresh Pokémon GO Plus Stock Expected In March, Says Nintendo UK

Pj1

@SLIGEACH_EIRE I was in Game before Christmas the guy in there said that Nintendo are a very secretive company and not telling people when the next wave of nes mini's are out, he also said that knowing them after Christmas there will be shed loads. I went to Game to preorder a Switch and asked if they had the mini the girl said we got one in today but we sold it. I very much doubt Nintendo will mention N mini on Thursday/Friday sadly even though I'd like them to say "Don't worry guys there will be a big restock of Nes Mini in due course and that we have no intention of discontinuing that line just yet"

Re: Rumour: Target Will Sell Nintendo Switch For $299.99, 15 Titles Possible At Launch

Pj1

@FX102A You are right the Wii was £180.00 at launch, the Wii-U I think was £350.00?

Yes the other reason I am replying is I would love the Switch to be £200.00 and like what you said a good opportunity for us to buy a game or two, in the meantime we just gotta wait for the all important announcements. I am hoping that when Nintendo refers to Europe they will mean the UK too and that they don't think we all ready left Europe.... be interesting to know where Nintendo puts us afterwards.

Re: Nintendo Switch Presentation Given Estimated Runtime of One Hour by Niconico

Pj1

Do'h, I thought the reveal is on Friday (I'm here in the UK) I have an early start on Thursday, have somewhere to be at 11am. Thats a shame, I pre-ordered a Switch at Game. The price, launch date and the games lineup is very important that will come in 5 days time, I'm hoping Switch wont cost more than £300 here in the UK. I'll be very happy if it's £250.00 as I am setting aside a budget for it. Initially I was going to get one Christmas 2017 but my Birthday is in April so I'll get one for my Birthday, one final point I asked someone in Game if they are doing a midnight launch.... the girl said she wasn't sure but the manager over heard and he said HQ haven't confirmed either way yet but normally they do a midnight launch for big hitting hardware and even games. Maybe nearer the time Game will confirm either way....

I remember I pre ordered a Wii-U from blockbuster (they didn't do a midnight launch) as at the time they were right near where I used to live, I preordered a Wii and picked it up at midnight from Gamestation.

Re: Hardware Review: Famicom Classic Mini

Pj1

Playasia sell these for just over a £100, I'd rather wait to see if the European Nes come back in stock! I could buy two for that price....

Oh I am tempted to get a US version I love that box art.

Re: Rumour: GameCube Virtual Console Coming To Nintendo Switch

Pj1

Most rumours about or involving the Switch have turned out to be true, so I hope this one is. Also they better allow us to use the G.C controller adapter or what a waste that concept was.

I'm still annoyed I can't use it for Wii-U VC....

If I buy a Switch the first game I'll download will be Mario Sunshine and probably Mario Kart by the time I actually do buy one, I'm tempted to get one next April but I might hold out till December 2017. I've still got a big games backlog........

Re: eBay Feeds The Scalper Within You By Offering Guaranteed Profit On Your NES Classic Mini

Pj1

I bought two Nes Mini's one to use and I am currently enjoying Mario 3, I've never played the nes version only Super Mario All stars and the version on the Wii VC. The other Nes mini I bought I'm keeping it boxed. I went into Game the other day to pay a deposit on an AT games Mega drive and was talking to the guy in there, I asked if Game were getting any more Nes and he said "We are expecting a second phrase of them before Christmas and they're all sold out, whether we will get any more before Christmas we don't know as a third phrase hasn't come up yet but knowing Nintendo after Christmas there will be shed loads of them! so people who spent £200 on one will be gutted!" his words not mine....

I saw on ebay that the mins are being sold £80.00 (only used once, 'yeah right') and others going for £150.00 new, even the controllers are going for £40.00! an eight quid controller. It's crazy. Come on Nintendo do all you can to meet demand!

Re: Video: Nintendo Minute Goes Retro With a Look at the Mini NES

Pj1

Two things I was hoping for:

1. Nintendo releases an official plug/ lead for this.
2. Official released controller extension cables.

Sadly neither have been announced, yet.

I live in the UK and I have pre-ordered two consoles*, 1 from Game with an extra controller and the other= Amazon. Really strange that pre-orders haven't been taken in America. Also I was hoping to buy a famicom mini from Playasia but on the website it kept saying 'pre-orders taken soon' then I went on there the other day and it says that they have been sold out....
not good.

*I only two I'm hoping to use one of the consoles and keep the other one sealed for a collection, also I've ordered three separate controllers....

Re: Feature: NES Mini Classics - Dr. Mario

Pj1

Im loving the nes mini classic game reviews, I am really looking forward to this coming out; two weeks and counting!

It is also good that Nintendo life posts news and articles about Switch but it is also good to get these reviews. I've never played Dr Mario, I've never been good at tetris or columns so I'll probably wont enjoy this so much....

Nintendo Life keep these reviews coming and will you guys do an unboxing of the nes nearer the time?

Re: Amazon-Exclusive Lime Green New Nintendo 3DS XL Special Edition is Now Available in North America

Pj1

I can't buy this console in the UK however I really love the box design, I get a nostaglia feeling inside when I see it. I would be pretty jealous if the design of the 3DS was that of a snes pad design, also I am prety sure that the U.S and (or) Europe got a Yoshi edition of this? I know it hasn't been announced yet by *Nintendo but I would so love a snes mini to come out in 2017.

*Then again I think every Nintendo fan would wanna buy one!

Re: Poll: What Do You Think of the Nintendo Switch?

Pj1

Pretty much all the rumours have turned out to be true, I was getting pretty impatient not knowing anything like everyone else. I also wonder (not that it matters too much) if the OS will be android based. So there are more questions to be answered, like many posters on here. I do wonder how much it will be sold for I think in the UK £350.00 but what do I know?

I also said due to my backlog that I might not buy one until December 2017 but I might change my mind before then....

Re: Video: Nintendo UK Shows Off the Mini NES, With Comparisons to Original System

Pj1

It looks so good! I also like the startup screen that shows the game boxes.

Its a shame that Nintendo are not selling extension leads for the pads, I remember reading snes instruction manuals that you had to play a game at the length of the leads distance between yourself and the TV. As an adult I dont really wanna sit on the floor playing this.

Also I know it's not a biggie but I still wonder if Nintendo will sell an official usb plug for the nes mini, it's a potential money maker for the big N. Can't wait for the release of this console!
