I've been lucky enough to buy a dock from Nintendo, I've got two. I feel bad for those who have had systems bricked, also I feel bad for the companies affected. Surly Nintendo need to sort out a cloud save system, now?
My memories are, I bought a Wii at launch and it was faulty! I could either get it fixed by Nintendo or wait for a new one to come in which at the time was a long wait. AT the time my wife and I worked at a petrol station and had told him the night man about the wii being faulty, when we took over from him the next day he said that he heard on the radio that Toys R us in Basildon were getting more Nintendo Wii's in the next day. It was about two weeks before Christmas 2006, so we headed out at 3:30AM and people were queuing up! (In line)
It was a lovely atmosphere if you wanted a hot drink the guy in front of you was going to the garage, if you wanted a smoke and didn't have any no problem you can have one of mine! Whilst in the que people were saying that Toys r us didn't mean to broadcast the fact they were getting more Wii's were coming. It got to about 8AM and a lady came out and was giving out tickets, someone dubbed them the Willy wonka golden tickets! The guy in front asked for two! And the lady asked him why, he said one for me and the other is for the children! REALLY? They were in pushchairs. Then at around 8:45AM they let us into the store, they also made it clear that you had to pick up a game with your system. We choose 'Happy feet' as people were picking up their systems and walking off with them as you had to go to the entertainment counter people were still talking to each other. Some people were coming into the store to get one but it was too late for them. I can’t remember the actual date for this but it was a Friday night in December (I think) 2006 was anyone else there?
I backed it at the time and enjoyed reading the monthly updates, it was so well packed. I fully recommend this if you're a Snes fan. You read the book and you'll be like 'I remember this game'.
Nintendo have done well with the Switch, I'd love to know how other games are selling like Super Bomberman switch and the Street fighter game. Also Megaman 11 is coming out at some point.
E3 this year will be exciting..... as ever if you're a Nintendo fan.
A British newspaper + Metro online were reporting that Kellogg's were/ are going to make these. Nintendo / Kellogg's can't make them too sweet if they come to the UK as they will get band, there's a bit of sugar tax on stuff here nowadays. I might get a box if they do arrive here....
I'm pleased that Nintendo released this but yeah the following games would have been epic.
Super Mario All Stars Mario's time machine Mario is missing Turtles in time Sim City Pilot Wings (I was disappointed as I did think this was included until about a month ago) Super R type DKC 2&3 Desert Strike (that would have been a cool addition to the console)
I pre-ordered from Game at the store, well my wife ordered me one. I ordered one from Game online and one from Very, I feel pleased that I did order from all three. As I read comments from N.L posters that Game online and Very had sold out and were still taking pre-orders, overall I am very pleased with the SNes mini, I wish there was a way to reset from the controller though. Also why is Contra so hard?
Nintendo know they can make some serious cash with their classic mini series, it's a no brainer bringing these back!
Not sure where that might leave the N64 mini though but hay extra Nes classics and Snes is good enough for me. It's been nice that Nintendo has listened.
I had pre-ordered this, after the reading the review and it's a port from Wii-U I cancelled my pre-order. Saved £26.00, if it goes down to £15.0 I will pick it up. Sorry Ubisoft and Nintendo no sale.
The secret magazine (not so now) has been announced! I am a subscriber of retro gamer it is a great read every month. So whenever this lands on my doorstep (porch) I'll be happy providing the silly post person doesn't bend it too much, lol.
From what I've played of it, I love it. Still feels odd to play Sega games on Nintendo but I should be over that by now. I hope Mr Whitehead and co get to do Streets of Rage like others are asking for. Also one day I hope EA remasters the fantastic Desert Strike or makes available for VC if and when we get it.
Gotta see if the sound is an improvement, Sega should build these not that other company that does it so badly. Sega must take a look at quality control.
I led a race one day and got up to near where the start/finish line is to take the win and got hit by a blue shell by the A.I. Came in 4th after that....
It's great news that people in America can pre-order this now, just gotta hope they make enough for all that want one.
@chrcoluk did you manage to lock down a pre-order? I do not work for game, my local one have taken three different pre-orders for Snes minis, it might be worth following your local store on twitter.
I reckon it could get released next Easter or April, I just hope like others have said it features games from Rare. The Snes mini will have D.K.C so thats a good sign....
My orders are with Game and Very and I know they've messed up in the past (Game) but I am hopeful it will be Ok. Nintendo Life reported Friday that Game have seen their profits fall, my other pre-order is with Very. I was either working or sleeping when pre-orders went live, so I missed out ordering from the Nintendo Store and I feel pretty gutted about that as I am very nervous about my pre-orders...... I know they are not out for another three months, I also feel that my pre-orders arent safe until I have them in my hands. I've ordered two, one to play and one to keep sealed as part of my collection.
I think for anyone who ordered more than one and got theirs cancelled is fair do's. If people have ordered one and got it cancelled then I feel bad for them.

My local Game often tweet saying that they've got limited Switch stock, I got one day a tweet. I thought actually Game were very good with the Switch launch, well my local store was I thought.
@dizzy_boy I used to love Gamestation and I agree with you.
I think Nintendo missed a trick here, there is huge demand for retro consoles and they know this when they were selling nes titles on VC for about £5.00 or whatever....
Why didn't they kind of open a new division at HQ to cater for the demand of the nes mini, it was never advertised as a limited edition item nor did they tell us it was only around for the Christmas period. So if they 'do' a Snes mini they will have triple production for it big time. Also they have the power to bring it back anytime they could make them Wii-Mini size and be able to connect to the Vc e-shop so you can download more games and content, if little old me can say this then why didn't they do it?

I wondered why I couldn't find a physical release date for this. I'm gonna put this on my wishlist too.

I voted for Super Mario World.
How comes Super Mario All stars wasn't on that list?

Super Mario All Stars

Sim City

Re: Feature: Just How Hard Is It To Buy A Nintendo Switch In Japan?
I'm very surprised you can buy the Splatoon 2 edition from the Nintendo UK store, I thought they would be sold out!!
Also some Sainsburys store sells the Switch. My local one does and often have stock.

Like they did with the nes compendium.
Re: Prima Games' Nintendo SNES Classics Book Will Go Nicely With A SNES Mini
@Don I'm wondering that too.
I just hope Prima print it on better paper this time around, I'll pre-order this as soon as the European one gets announced.
Also for anyone living in the UK if you have a Works bookshop in your local town they've been selling the NES ones for £7.00!
Re: Rumour: Nintendo Switch Comes With A Built-In NES Emulator
No sale for me! I've got NES games coming out of my ears.

Re: More Rumours Add Weight to Talk of a SNES Classic Mini
Wasn't it June or July last year that Nintendo officially announce the NES mini?
Nintendo will have to make millions to satisfy demand, I am hoping this console happens though.
Re: Video: This Year's AtGames Sega Genesis Flashback Console Looks Much Improved
Until Nintendo Life reviews it, it's a no sale for me.

Re: We Know There's An Appetite For Virtual Console On Switch, Says Reggie Fils-Aime

I can't wait for VC on Switch.
Re: Poll: What Did You Think of Nintendo's Big Switch and 3DS Reveals at E3 on Day One?

Disappointed that the Snes mini wasn't announced and nor a Switch VC.... I know it's delayed until 2018 but even so. Do'h.
An early Mario release is OK but it looks like a strange game....
Re: Guide: The Most Important E3 2017 Press Conferences and Events
