We're at the tail end of the week already, but last week's UK chart data from GfK has just come in, and there's no change at the top as FIFA 23 retains the top spot. Not surprising in the UK — though the Switch version only makes up 8% of those sales given that it's the Legacy Edition — but Splatoon 3 is still comfortably in second.
Last week's (2nd - 8th October) two new entries come in the form of two long-awaited Switch ports. NieR:Automata lands at 6th, with 99% of all copies sold being the Switch release (the additional 1% comes from the 2019 PS4 Game of the YoRHa Edition). And No Man's Sky enters at 8th, with 92% of sales coming from Nintendo's hybrid console. One of the best action RPGs ever and one of the biggest redemption stories in gaming, both with solid Switch ports doing well? Good news all around.
Otherwise, it's those names that we're very much used to seeing make up the top ten. Here's the lowdown:

We're not expecting any big shake-ups for this week's physical numbers — and we'll hopefully find out soon enough. But the week after sees the release of Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope, followed by Bayonetta 3 the week after that. Whether they'll challenge the might of FIFA 23 or Splatoon 3 or not, well, we'll just have to keep an eye open.
As always, share your thoughts on the latest chart data in the comments!

A good week for Switch ports. NieR, No Man's Sky and FIFA 18 all making their debuts!
Good on Arceus. Most fun I have had in a Pokemon game since Silver and Gold.
Interesting to see Switch sports so high
I’m sure the Xenoblade 3 Collectors Edition would be here if:
1. It contained the software
2. There were actually more than 100 or so copies of it
I still don't understand why or how GTA V is still selling.
@LillianC14 people are born everyday, people grow older every day, and every year someone is old enough to get into GTA. Not surprising. Same with why MK8D keeps selling. It’s not the same people buying the games over and over again
More reason to have no faith in humanity when they're dumb enough to buy the same soccer game they've been buying for 6 years now.
Pretty solid showings for Nier and NMS. Glad to see those two high quality ports doing well on Switch. Overall, a really good week for the Switch.
Consider Witcher 3 latest update was full game cart when it was released goes to show if they put the work they can do it. It's just takes time as in NMS from 2013 announcements til now...
I'm enjoying No Man's Sky as portable game, but that update seemed to make the stuttering in space even worst, it pretty much freezes up for 1-2 second increments on my OLED.
I did my part and bought them both.
Aside from GTAV the entire top 10 is switch exclusives or multiplats with a switch version (and mostly ones that Switch has a plurality or majority of sales)
Nice going for both Neir and NMS.
Pokemon Legends Arceus still charting in the Top 10 one month before the launch of Scarlet/Violet is quite impressive.
Can't wait to see what Persona 5 Royal does next week....too bad we can't see a platform specific breakdown of sales
@LillianC14 they remastered it for ps5 and series x/s. Until gta 6 is ready for its proper reveal and release a year after that they will be keeping gta 5 online going. Crazy that this thing almost failed when it came on 360 and ps3. I am talking about the online part cause that thing was a mess the first few months.
I'm happy to see Nier and No Man's Sky do well. The same thing happened to the GTA trilogy when it came out on the Switch physically.
8% for the switch version of fifa 23 is 8% too many
@Ristar24 Really? I've yet to experience a crash. What happens when your game crashes? I only know of it crashing when some players press the plus button and the game locks up. That's all I've heard so far on the Switch.
@Nin10doh No full crashes as such, just freezes for 1-2 seconds, mainly in space. I figure must be a streaming issue, I'm running off the SD card. Despite the technical limitations, still really enjoying the Switch version on my OLED, playing way more that I did on PS4.
@Ristar24 Check out the new update that dropped earlier today, it definitely fixed some issues. Also if you haven't report any bugs to the hello games zendesk they're pretty quick on patching things up.
Ha, I was actually just playing the game! I see Digital Foundy have an analysis up now, certainly it's more visually limited than the PS4 version (which I had at launch), but overall I think they did well with the port.
