This is why i play my 3ds Homebrewed with no guilt if they aren't gonna make money off it anymore nor give us a way to play it on modern platforms who cares if I can download any and every game ever released right on it for free
Hmm if only these games were fun or not just a riff on something that came before. I understand the novelty of having a new game for an old system but meh I rather play an old school inspired game with complete modern playability like Katana Zero or even Shovel Knight
I don't know... When I notice them I do shout them like Top of The Muffin, To You! As clearly it is meant to be shouted, if anything there isn't enough unnecessary punctuation. and Capitalization in games , but we can also always count on the Japanese to translate strange phrases and cool sounding words into long winded Titles for games and anime, Like Last Standing of All Our Hearts or something or Drāgon Victory 7
Remasters are totally fine throw in a couple of quality of life changes and I'll buy a game again if it's a favorite of mine and remakes as long as they feel or capture the original but offer it in a new way like links awakening or resident evil 4 remake then that's a remake done right
Dark and gritty games on the snes had like the worst drabbest samey looking colors and textures that super Metroid feels the same as the rest of them .. i enjoyed the ones on gba more
Love the metal gear series I grew up with them . Biggest thing holding them back is the controls.. definitely have not aged well and no amount of shininess is gonna change that.. interesting how he said these are emulations not sure why they can't boost it to 60fps on switch
@PALversusNTSC you must have never played jedi outcast, jedi fallen order, it's sequel, battle front 1,2 or reboots, or knights of the old Republic ..and others?
I enjoyed stray... Didnt get very far tho as other games got in the way but I definitely would play this... I feel untitled goose game kinda made this a genre even tho other animal games exist but the artstyle and shenanigans reminds me a lot of untitled goose game
@nocdaes in a sense they have been revisiting old games with remakes like Link's awakening and Mario legend of the 7 stars and then even remasters like metroid prime and the upcoming paper Mario 1000 year door... Other games like link between worlds is a sorta sequel to link to the past and then games like the new super mario bros are callbacks to their 2d days... So I feel Nintendo more than most do go back and show love to past games
@OldGamer999 luckily for me i got a decent backlog to work on for the time being and I'm taking my sweet time thru probably like 6-8 games right now... As far as new games palworld is pretty fun and I may check out helldivers 2 as that seems to be a hilarious time, but yea i can't see anything I'm super excited about that's ahead
@OldGamer999 ive been bored and irritated with gaming for the last like 3 years... Nothing can hold my attention..tho when gow Ragnarok released I played it for like 10 days straight to see the story thru... I miss games like that...got about 100 hours in Zelda totk but like half the game still to go plus all the pointless collectibles and underground..
Pc is all digital anways but you have more freedom in a sense vs digital games on consoles... I've only gone more digital for convenience on switch and ps4... On switch i have around 25 physical games and like 50-75 digital...cant remember how many games i have tho... I like having much of my library with me as possible so 10 physical carts fit in my switch slim case and my favorites are downloaded...atleast like 3000 hours of gaming in case of you know...whatveer
Dang who is torturing themselves by playing knight on switch? Can't buy them separately waiting for the inevitable less than 10 bucks price for the collection so I can pick up the first two.. again
Hmm i only shop thru Dekudeals and have filters on where i don't see the majority of this trash i find what i want on there and go to the eshop page directly to buy it never having to waste time on the eshop
@brunojenso yea i just noticed the nyxi controller looks like a similar build to the binboks...lately I've been using the split pad compacts the most... That mobapad looks intriguing but I am probably done investing into my switch as who knows what is gonna work with the next switch thats incoming this year or next
@brunojenso hmm they don't seem much different than the binboks..my main complaint with those is the backs of them are very rounded out and they get uncomfortable after awhile and cramp very easily if im gonna lay around and play
Was curious about the nitrodeck .. i primarily like to play handheld and use my pro controller for the dock or the 8bitdo sn30 pro .. for handheld i have the hori split pads , the split pad compacts and some Chinese binboks (only ones with gyro, rumble and battery) and all of them get uncomfortable playing laying down after some time .. not sure about that right thumbtick placement...having to relearn a controller for that seems like a pain .. here's hoping the next joycons or whatever are much more comfortable
@Poodlestargenerica i would agree with cult of the lamb however once i unlocked the whole camp i couldn't find myself to finish the 4th boss...been wanting to go back now there's more dlc... I also felt that way with Pokemon sword...i played it like all day one day... put it 50 hours I think i beat it and then just sold it haha
Forager really hooked me for like 35 hours in a week ...not much in the endgame but the constant managing and growing and a buncha a little tasks that worked well with my ADD ... palworld is currently filling that weird hole where its not so tedious but relaxing some how... Also Hades is great and I love Katana Zero as far as addictive games that aren't on this list...and mario Odyssey isn't bad to go hunting for moons every now and again
Star wars battlefront no effen way!!! Also the south park game with the dumbest name ever looks way better than previously assumed... The last two games were fantastic hope this one is too...and your voting thing doesn't have south park on it
Looking at these sweet collections....and i ponder about the 2 that i own...Solid Snake...and the skyward sword Zelda for fast travel in Skyward Sword... I did own a gold shovel knight but sold it to my buddy who collects them.... I do however want the Joker amiibo and wolf Link
They won't announce anything because switch sales are still very strong...why stop their money flow by announcing a new console? They will squeeze every last drop of juice thats left from current Nintendo gen which operates in its own space...also we can expect the next system to do 4k and ray tracing as they were wanting that...id be happy with a solid 2k 60 fps system or else like what the hell are they doing there are so many fricking handheld pcs right now and the prices keep getting better and better on those
Not usually a farm sim guy but it would be nice to get some milage out of Eastward as I couldn't get past the first couple hours ..so much text and like back and forth walking and talking some more and like 10 mins of gameplay... So hearing this expansion has a lot less "story" makes me want to give this a shot... Nice to see this happening more and more games dropping dlc that's different from the main game like God of War Ragnarok with its roguelike mode
Holy moly are xbox numbers dismal... The fact more people are buying notfifa on switch rather than xbox where the game should be arguably better haha..
@Banks its a great little system once updated with custom firmware and os, I also got my stepson a anbernic 351v and gotta say i love that little thing alot more for nearly the same price.. custom background music, more consoles, and the build quality and buttons feel better... Got it for $75 on Amazon during the holidays, the miyoo mini+ for $60 and for that price its great .. the game switcher being its best feature... But i find the system a little cramped and slippery for bigger hands... looking to add some grip stickers soon, but being able to emulate on a little system that is arguably cooler than a gameboy could be is pretty awesome i wanted something really small to not feel like a weirdo at family parties when playing my switch or laptop would make me look odd but no one bats an eye at a little retro handheld, I also hope to eventually pick up a retroid pocket 2s ... I can't see myself spending more than $100 on one of these as I have a switch, PlayStation, tablet and a laptop but its really fun playing up to ps1 games and replaying old favorites and finally getting to games I never got to play as a kid that are considered classics
I remember trying a virtual boy in whatever store in the 90s... headache pretty much after 5 minutes, on this past Christmas I got a little miyoo mini + which i customized and have all 22 games on it... The red is kinda cool but still hurts to look at for a long time..but I bet the 3d would look cool...I agree with the writer not having atleast a couple of these on the 3ds was a missed opportunity.
I dont understand the worship Japanese people have for companies like Pokemon when the companies themselves are there strictly for profit... Like oh my goodness digimon came out on the heels of Pokemon...was there a hushed reverence then about the so similar on the surface but not so much once you see they are different same with Palworld...if anything they should be proud that people want to imitate their work...even if it took forever...we play a million zelda likes and "Metroidvanias"...wheres the pitchforks for those? Palworld is fun... It won't stop me from playing Pokemon either...why don't they understand that we wanna play all the games we can..not just pick and choose one like they are NFL teams.. (soccer clubs?) And say no to the rest.. thats ludacrisy
Yea no, I rather be surprised every time but it's hard these days because the second a game releases ...game sites such as this will post articles titled like..I did not see that ending coming...or what did you think of such and such like a day after the game launches...like what the hell give us a chance to play it before you just keep riding off the hype ...and so when there are games I really don't care for story I'll see the ending ..or not... because I didnt care for it anyways
The more I hear of this game the more I want to play it .yea yea they look like Pokemon so what, I like the artstyle anyways... I just don't understand the hate like why are people so defensive and protective of a company that makes so much money off of them? Pokemon doesn't need any help and I don't see the complaining for the 10 billion Zelda likes or how about complain about every platformer out there because its too much like Mario .. games like this need to exist for the sake of creativity...ripped off designs or not atleast the rest of the game looks wholy different and I think thats the point ..we never would of ever gotten a Pokemon game like this... isn't great where we live in a world where both exist together?
The Pokemon company is one of the most profitable media entities out there ... selling like 20-50 million copies of their games, a game like this shouldn't matter if anything make the next pokemon games better... Skipped the last one due to its ugly emptiness and glitchyness
This game looks like fun and well polished...people need to calm down...i don't see the complaining with the thousand zelda likes and metroidvanias that exist
Ehh yes it does look very much like Pokemon in design but it seems to do it better .. And yeah the pokemon or pal designs do look alot like pokemon but actually...cooler tho the the more recent designs? Also the game looks put together graphically much better than the last few Pokemons on switch
Yea right .. I'm actually starting the process of going back to physical media when i realized I couldn't take my digital movies and put them on stuff... Also sick and tired of streaming services raising prices for subpar content i only watch the same stuff over anyways so I figure I'll get me a bluray burner copy all my physical movies and shows and put them on my devices like fire stick and tablet... So yea F this guy and the whole industry... Microsoft pushing gamepass as the future is a joke... Streaming has already proven how hard it is to actually pay people for their work while the fat cats on top get rich
