Re: No Man Sky's 4.0 Update Will Be "Fully Focused" On The Nintendo Switch Launch

@AndyVGR because so many games run subpar and even more so as we're into another console generation... Nintendo doesnt put out enough first party titles to justify us playing only those which are usually optimized pretty well for their hardware, 3rd party games on the other hand we always get the blurrier slower fps version with long load times, it would be nice to have a portable system that can keep up, especially now as the market fills with powerful portable gaming pcs

If its gonna be as powerful as a ps4 there should be no issue getting better performance for say ports like witcher 3 and here's hoping there's no excuse to bring games like call of duty over. Nintendo first party will continue to utilize their hardware like always but it would be nice to not get such downgraded ports... even though thats a guarantee as we get deeper into current gen as they drop off last gen versions

Re: Paper Animal RPG Is An Adorable Mash-Up Of Pokémon Mystery Dungeon And Paper Mario

ParadoxFawkes

@ndunsmo, i really wanted to play bug fables but it seemed too much like paper mario, my thing is why do these games copy like the style and UI and the way power points work... I wouldn't mind the style if the gameplay was unique or I wouldn't mind the gameplay being the same if the style was unique but they copy both, I agree with Nintendo not giving fans what they asked for so we get fan games but it seems like there are far too few games who have their own identity... example guacamelee is a metroidvania but the moment to moment gameplay is so different I can appreciate the nostalgia nods and also enjoy it for what it is because the world pulls me in, bug fables makes me want to just play paper mario because it looks stylistically similar and plays similar. Here's hoping they do give us a proper paper mario sequel to the first two games🙂

Re: Random: Wii U Emulation On Valve's Steam Deck Supports Gyro Controls

ParadoxFawkes

@Snatcher like everyone would, but they are so slow to catch on and greedy with their ips...which is understandable because of big business but honestly at this point Nintendo should have like a steam like service where I can buy a game once and play it on multiple platforms..so I don't have to buy mario 3 on every single system again and again, they have the ability and library to support that.. until then i will emulate the crap outta their games until they give me a fair way to access legacy content... I love being able to take breath of the wild from my wii u with save data and play it on my PC...if Nintendo wont do it others will figure out a way which has been proven time and time again

Re: Rumour: New Metal Gear Solid Remasters Reportedly Incoming

ParadoxFawkes

@GrailUK I played 3 when I was in highschool probably a couple years after it came out and the story and feelings I had playing that game have stuck with me far longer and affected me deeply more than any game I can remember playing since, not sure how it will hold up depending on the remaster since the controls are a bit dated

Re: Mini Review: Restless Soul - A Minimalist Adventure With An Overabundance Of Banter

@Andee I've been holding off on spiritfarer I really like the art style, the world and concept but I hear gameplay wise its just conversations and repetitive tasks .. even though I really liked forager and that game was repetitive but I easily put in 30 hours over a week or so until i bought all the land and found there was nothing to really do or work towards in the endgame

Re: Mini Review: Severed Steel - A Heart-Pounding FPS That Makes You Feel Like John Wick

ParadoxFawkes

Hopefully its decent.. tried ghostrunner on switch which was absolute garbage compared to PC .. without having to play with ray tracing or anything... I see alot of people really like their gyro controls in shooters on switch... I feel using that makes me lazy and a worse shooter in games like COD so i tend to not use them on switch and I use joy con alternatives which are closer to the split pad pro so i have full joysticks, anyways this game seems right up my alley I'll have to check it out

Re: Video: What Was Your First Video Game Ever?

ParadoxFawkes

Probably the original super mario or marios bros 3 on nes, my first system was a snes with mario world when i was 5, my dad mostly played as my younger brother and I sucked and it would be a couple years before we can get past world 1

Re: GoldenEye 007 Relaunch On Modern Consoles Reportedly 'In Limbo'

ParadoxFawkes

Thats a lazy excuse our beef with the Russians has not affected our media in like 50 years...anyways it would be pointless, the goldeneye remaster on xbox 360 is online and free and plays pretty decently on the xenia emulator with being able to swap back and forth on the visuals like on Halo in the mcc with modernized (as far as possible) controls on a xbox controller
