Re: Nintendo Reveals Details Of Nintendo Switch Online

Nincompoop

Playstation Plus includes free games from current generation, and Nintendo gave us games from over 30 years ago? Nintendo is still in their nostalgia mode, hanging on their retro games... no one cares about them anymore. They are freely available on the internet roms sites.

Re: Review: KORG Gadget (Switch eShop)

Nincompoop

Buy the iPad version, there's no proper touchscreen implementation for the Switch version.

Want proper export? Get the Mac version for US$299. Can't afford it? Lineout from the Switch to your Computer for recording.

Re: Nintendo Says 3DS Will Keep Being Sold Unless Switch Becomes A "One-Per-Person-System"

Nincompoop

That means in the future Nintendo will make a smaller Switch that has no dock to keep the price down. It will become a portable for-one-person console to replace 3DS.

This New Switch will be slightly smaller but a lot thinner because it has no fan. It will use a new 14nm Tegra chip. Since it's a portable, the joycon is not removable to further reduce the manufacturing cost.

What you get is a Vita look-alike Switch.

Re: Lumines Remastered Will Launch On 26th June

Nincompoop

Lumines is not a puzzle game, Q Entertainment's Rez is not a shooter either. Their games are all about the experience: stylish techno music with simple gameplay layered on top.

Rez in VR can moved people to tears, you have to experience it to understand it... it's a glimpse of digital utopia.

Re: Feature: The History And Evolution of Donkey Kong

Nincompoop

In the 1st Donkey Kong game he was a bad guy. In the 2nd game he was the good guy and Jump man (Mario) was the bad guy. Nintendo had no clue on how to build brand identity.

Then they got sued by Universal Studio for infringement of King Kong's copyright, but it was later discovered that Universal Studio didn't owned King Kong, it's in the public domain... so Universal had to compensate Nintendo for all the legal cost (what a bunch of idiots).

Re: Hackers Have Found A Way To Exploit The Switch, And It's Apparently 'Unpatchable'

Nincompoop

The hack is done by holding down the volume up button and connecting 2 pins inside the right joy-con with a tweezer. One of the weirdest console hack in recent history.

The bootrom can only be reset in the factory, that's why it cannot be patched. If you send in your Switch for repair, Nintendo will put in a new bootrom that cannot be hacked. And starting this month, new Switch freshly baked in the factory will have a new bootrom.
