Re: Review: The Legend of Legacy (3DS)

NImH

Super late to the party, but I just found the LoL collector's edition with OST and art book for cheap at Gamestop and had to snag it.
@zipmon I'm so glad that I can count on your reviews to spotlight the elements that make an RPG shine. I think we have similar attitudes about gaming. I really want to enjoy every game I play, and if there is praise to be given or a singularly great aspect to a game, I want to focus on those things.
While there are weak points, as you mentioned, the best parts of LoL make it a really enjoyable experience. I guess folks have different tastes in art direction and music, but personally, I love them both here.
Overall, I'm really glad that I took a shot on this and picked up that collector's edition. Another great review BTW, Morgan.

@FlowOfDough Google define "self-righteous." Pretty sure you're unclear on what the term means.
Me having a strong opinion about the repercussions of illegal software hacks has nothing to do with my lack of righteousness.
@Shambo I've never played any of the games you listed because I don't feel the need to seek out games that i have to experience by illegal means. I wonder what Terry Cavanagh, the awesome person behind VVVVV thinks of the hackers who are ruining his wonderful creation and livelihood.
I can hear him now: "Well, at least they gave me a chance to play Mother 3! Thanks guys!"

@JaxonH okay, who needs to make up their mind here?
You "don't trust the system one shred of a micron," but still believe that there's a chance it can succeed... Can your feet even reach both sides of a fence that high?
Naw, dude. And may I remind you that it was you who decided to tag me, play the devil's advocate and pipe up about a possible "flaw" in the system? ...And one that left you without a shed of a micron of trust for its validity?
Yeah, it's still making zero sense from this angle.

Re: Community: Pick Your Favourite Nintendo 3DS Games - Fifth Anniversary Edition

@JaxonH you also give idiots too much credit.
I doubt that a few pathetic types here, wasting everyone's time by down-voting the best titles will have a significant effect on the results. All that you not voting does is create a self-fulfilling prophecy with your boycott. No one's forcing you to vote for something you don't like.
If most folks here would just play it straight and vote for their favorite 3DS titles, the results will be honest enough.

Re: Review: Return to Popolocrois: A Story of Seasons Fairytale (3DS)

NImH

Such a good review, but I expected no less from @zipmon.
Dang, I didn't realize that my wallet was going to be pulled in yet another direction before summer because this looks like a must-have. You mentioned an aesthetic similarity to Fantasy Life... Is that where the similarities end, Morgan?

Re: Video: See The Beginning Of A Link To The Past Come To Life in Unreal Engine 4

Yeah, not feeling that...
Why are stars visible during a heavy night storm? Why don't any modern interpretations of this story-era acknowledge his pink hair? It's all just way too sparse and clinical.
Is really love to see this done well though, and this is impressive in its own right...
I'd simply hate to see or play a redone version of ALttP in this style.

Re: Site News: Welcome To The Brand New Nintendo Life!

NImH

Welp, I do wish the revamp did away with trolls who love attention, be it positive or negative, ~cough @kirk ~ but that's my only real beef here today.
I actually cannot comment on the web version since I've only experienced it on my mobile so far... But it's atheistically pleasing and easy to navigate.
I have a feeling that everyone complaining about the changes are Apple-fans who're used to minor updates with every new release... because I personally enjoy very much the opportunity to explore and learn a whole new interface when I get a new phone model. Same thing here. It's been a fun day at Nintendo Life.
