Super late to the party, but I just found the LoL collector's edition with OST and art book for cheap at Gamestop and had to snag it.
@zipmon I'm so glad that I can count on your reviews to spotlight the elements that make an RPG shine. I think we have similar attitudes about gaming. I really want to enjoy every game I play, and if there is praise to be given or a singularly great aspect to a game, I want to focus on those things.
While there are weak points, as you mentioned, the best parts of LoL make it a really enjoyable experience. I guess folks have different tastes in art direction and music, but personally, I love them both here.
Overall, I'm really glad that I took a shot on this and picked up that collector's edition. Another great review BTW, Morgan.
Looks like it'll be a really fun game on the 3DS. @rjejr yeah, voice acting makes it nothing like Zelda... because we all know Zelda games consist of nothing more than silence. 😕
I love Teslagrad so much. Big big respect to @ollibald and the team for such a fun and beautiful game that does not skimp on the difficulty. Such a perfect balance. World to the West is an instabuy for me, no doubt.
Yeah, wasn't confused by the title at all. I'm confused by all the negative comments complaining about negativity here on the site. Dumb. NLife is hands-down, the most moderated and non-trashy Nintendo news site. I am very grateful for the work these guys put in, and for the crap they put up with in the comments section.
@MrGawain who's to say that the old man isn't that "prompting" figure you assume will be missing?
We obviously don't know so much more than we do about the game at this point.
I haven't been this hyped for a Zelda experience since the Ocarina of Time release. It's overwhelming. I just keep digging and digging for more info, theories, Easter egg vids...
My friends all used to tell about a "golden gun" with a magic one-shot kill in GoldenEye. Those stupid kids all believed each other, but not me. There's no magic in 007. DUH!
@FlowOfDough Google define "self-righteous." Pretty sure you're unclear on what the term means.
Me having a strong opinion about the repercussions of illegal software hacks has nothing to do with my lack of righteousness.
@Shambo I've never played any of the games you listed because I don't feel the need to seek out games that i have to experience by illegal means. I wonder what Terry Cavanagh, the awesome person behind VVVVV thinks of the hackers who are ruining his wonderful creation and livelihood.
I can hear him now: "Well, at least they gave me a chance to play Mother 3! Thanks guys!"
I'm glad to hear that about the 3DS. They're really solidifying its place as the best console of all time. I'm eagerly anticipating the next Nintendo Direct. The briefing said a lot, but so much was unsaid as well. This article proves that.
Yeah, it's gonna be a rough road for 3 Souls going the episodic route. Bummer. I don't like seeing indie titles fail... Especially if they're good games that deserved recognition.
Question: Did they speed up her run for the director's cut? Pirate's Curse fixed my one huge issue with Risky's Revenge when they made Shantae feel freed up and fast.
@JaxonH okay, who needs to make up their mind here? You "don't trust the system one shred of a micron," but still believe that there's a chance it can succeed... Can your feet even reach both sides of a fence that high? Naw, dude. And may I remind you that it was you who decided to tag me, play the devil's advocate and pipe up about a possible "flaw" in the system? ...And one that left you without a shed of a micron of trust for its validity? Yeah, it's still making zero sense from this angle.
@JaxonH I just assumed that someone who had no confidence in "the system" would boycott... And why wouldn't they? I don't partake in any system that makes no sense to me.
@JaxonH you also give idiots too much credit. I doubt that a few pathetic types here, wasting everyone's time by down-voting the best titles will have a significant effect on the results. All that you not voting does is create a self-fulfilling prophecy with your boycott. No one's forcing you to vote for something you don't like. If most folks here would just play it straight and vote for their favorite 3DS titles, the results will be honest enough.
This is a great idea. Please be sure to do an "honorable mentions" list!
@Spoony_Tech do your seriously think there are that many trolls so that it'd affect the results?
You give idiots too much credit.
Much respect due to Two Tribes. This is sad news. As a gesture of thanks for their efforts and great experiences with Toki Tori, Edge and Rush, I shall purchase Rive day one, without a doubt. Thank you for your games, Two Tribes! It's been great!
Such a good review, but I expected no less from @zipmon.
Dang, I didn't realize that my wallet was going to be pulled in yet another direction before summer because this looks like a must-have. You mentioned an aesthetic similarity to Fantasy Life... Is that where the similarities end, Morgan?
Noice! I'm in. Haters love to hate on the style, but the fact is that MM is a really fun platformer with serious challenge and great music. Bring it, Jools! Crossbuy and discount ahoy! Then, onto Treasurenauts, please!
Yeah, not feeling that...
Why are stars visible during a heavy night storm? Why don't any modern interpretations of this story-era acknowledge his pink hair? It's all just way too sparse and clinical.
Is really love to see this done well though, and this is impressive in its own right...
I'd simply hate to see or play a redone version of ALttP in this style.
Welp, I do wish the revamp did away with trolls who love attention, be it positive or negative, ~cough @kirk ~ but that's my only real beef here today.
I actually cannot comment on the web version since I've only experienced it on my mobile so far... But it's atheistically pleasing and easy to navigate.
I have a feeling that everyone complaining about the changes are Apple-fans who're used to minor updates with every new release... because I personally enjoy very much the opportunity to explore and learn a whole new interface when I get a new phone model. Same thing here. It's been a fun day at Nintendo Life.
@Xenocity if COD dudebros are kept at a distance by the bright colors and cartoony design, I hope the next installment adds neon and a clothes customization side game.

@zipmon Dangit, Morgan. Always seeking to add RPGs to my backlog.
Great review, per usual.
Re: Weirdness: Fans Think They've Found Mario And Luigi's Father
I love super old Nintendo art like this. Kinda ugly, nonsensical and weird as heck. Good stuff.
Re: Review: TAP TAP ARCADE 2 (Wii U eShop)
Hahaha! This dev is straight dookie.
Why is it that NLife keeps reviewing this crap though?

@gatorboi352 a predictable response coming from you.
I'd be all over a DS1 remaster for the WiiU. Even with the screen-tearing, DS2 is really fun.

Try to see if there are any random secret caves to discover like there were in the first LoZ. Burnt bush/inconspicuous wall section=secret entrance

Now this piqued my interest. I'd love some local multiplayer on the big screen with my kids.

So why are hackers are awesome again?
Get bent you entitled, self-righteous killjoys. Friggin ruined an awesome game.
