Re: Rumour: Placeholder Retail Listing Suggests Switch 2 Price Might Be Cheaper Than Expected

MrCarlos46

Ok, so about $349 as far as US pricing goes (assuming Nintendo ships out Vietnam-produced units to the US), because that’s what $499 CAD in USD is.

If Nintendo sells Vietnam-produced units in the US, they’d also do it for the rest of North America as well as Latin America and Brazil as all those markets are managed by Nintendo of America, so they all get the same things despite some different regional packaging.

Funny how people think the best and obvious marketing name is a 'genius' move... but sadly Japan has a track record for very stupid product/brand names.
I'll bet NoA put their foot down and told NoJ, "You're going to call it Switch 2 and that's final. No, it's not going to be called Switchly Default! DX Edition 2/C Another. We're not gonna take the fall for you again like we did with Wii U".

If NoE had any involvement with this, would they side with NoA or NoJ, or are they just like “Personally we don’t care what the console is called. Just reveal it soon enough so the leakers can stop.”

Re: Rumour: Switch 2 Game Cases Might Take Up More Space On Your Shelf

Hopefully the spine is thicker so they can add the game’s logo on there again.

Unlikely manuals will return unless they wanted to do so. They’re probably just upping the size to make it less confusing when buying Switch 2 or Switch 1 games.

As for cartridges themselves, I don’t think they’re gonna change the physical shape this time around unlike when they added a notch for 3DS cartridges. They’re probably just gonna be the same but have more storage (64 GB or even 100 GB) and higher speeds, but I can see them do a different color like red or dark blue.

Re: Random: Xbox Gets Its Own Shameful 'Mario Strikers' Knock-Off

I’ve seen the promo art and images from the actual game and they don’t even look alike. Even one of the characters in the promo art has mismatched shoes (a white shoe and a brown shoe). These kinds of errors happen when you use AI. And the fact the main character in the promo art looks a whole lot like Mario.

Re: Of Course Nintendo Switch 2 Experience Tickets Are Being Listed On eBay

MrCarlos46

Now Nintendo’s really gonna have to figure out how to prevent anything like this to happen again for future events, because then a lot of unregistered people will then find a way to enter. Nintendo’s gonna find out and then tell eBay to ban whoever is selling the tickets and cancel them (+ banning their Nintendo account if needed), and if anyone bought the tickets, refund them for buying a scam listing.

Re: Poll: So, Were You Accepted For The Nintendo Switch 2 Hands-On Event?

MrCarlos46

@DwaynesGames If Nintendo actually considered writing the name of the account owner who got the tickets, there’d be less of a chance they get resold online, especially if the events require a Nintendo account at entry to verify the tickets belong to them.

Not sure when Nintendo will find out about it and how they will take action following tickets being resold online.

Not even 24 hours in and apparently there were already listings of these tickets on eBay: https://x.com/nintendeal/status/1884320784765837592?s=46

Pretty crazy if you ask me. How did Nintendo not realize this would happen? It was stated in the NDA that they can’t sell the tickets, but some people just didn’t listen.

Even worse if the tickets don’t have names of the people who got them, making it easier for a person who didn’t initially register bring the resold tickets to the events and register them as part of their account to gain entry.

I never even applied BTW.
