I dont have the patience to build things like this but I might pick the game up to play other people's creations. I lost stupid hours just browsing through and playing what other people had uploaded.

I've already seen Mario Kart and Doom built on this so there's going to be 1000s of games to get stuck into soon.

A port of the original dead space trilogy would be amazing on Switch.

I hope that if they are doing a remaster they focus more on next gen for a full 4k experience that makes better use of raytracing and faster load times rather than being held back by old gen hardware.

@DaniPooo or if companies like Nintendo just made enough product for all of the fans there wouldn't be any issue at all.

Its False Scarcity that creates a strong after market, buying/selling stock is just business and I would think a lot of these "scalpers" do this as either work or to subsidise an income.

Hell, I only buy Amiibo because I know they will raise in value once I've claimed the DLC from them and will resell them for Market value. Someone bought the Magnamalo one from me for £75 after putting it in an open auction on ebay - do I feel bad, not at all it paid for my game! It was the buyers that decided the products value in that situation not me. I also plan on doing the same with the Loftwing and Metroid Amiibos I've got secured on a pre order, does that make me a bad person?

You could buy a big chunk of this list for the same price as Nintendo is charging for Metroid Dread.
Dread had better be AAA quality and not just a standard Metroid game, especially when it's going up against and triple the price of such amazing games as Hollow Knight and Ori.

Probably more Super Animal Royale (which would be a great fit on switch) and Outriders. I will also put switch on charge ready for Mario Golf, so will probably end up playing something that grabs my attention off of the E-shop.

That's pretty much exactly what CEX did in the UK when the PS5 and XsX first dropped.

I will hold off for reviews and see how long it will take to complete before paying £50 for it.

It looks very similar to Shadow Complex which is around £15 so I'm not convinced that it warrants such a high price tag - But it's Nintendo and like designer clothes, people are happy paying a premium for brand recognition.

I managed to get the Amiibo on pre order and I'm not going to lie - seeing these prices has made me think twice on if I want to keep them or flip them once I've scanned them for the extras.

Great to see Metroid doing well, but the dig at Forza was a little below the belt considering its coming onto gamepass Day 1 - people aren't exactly going to be queuing up to pre order a game they can get for free are they.

@AquaVibe a lot is due to Nintendo not making enough stock for people to grab them.

I buy them purely for the DLC and then sell them on, usually at a profit because no one can get hold of them. The Magnamalo Amiibo paid for my copy of MHR!

Really looking forward to this but will play on Xbox as it drops to Gamepass day 1.

These should all be available on Switch E-shop, I was devastated when my 3DS died and I lost all of my game library - including metroid Fusion

Got myself a set of the Amiibo, love metroid so I might actually keep these ones after I've scanned them for the goodies.
In fact I might actually keep them in the box as you only get an extra energy/missile tank from them.

Can't wait for Mario Golf in a week. I've cancelled my SS pre-order (not in a rush to play it again but kept the Amiibo pre order) and will get that and Metroid Dread in a sale or pre owned.

@Slowdive I enjoyed the Direct but have since cooled off after watching again and actually digesting what was offered.

The 2 games I was actually excited for have since lost their sheen:
Metroid looks amazing but £50 for a 2D platformer seems excessive (Shadow Complex was £15)
Warioware will be fun but won't have any longevity just like all the previous ones and again is £50.

Everything else were just ports or cross platform that will look/perform better elsewhere. Hades coming to Xbox in 4k for free was a massive shot to Nintendo's "exclusives "

Then we got the announcement at the end that there were no more classic Zeldas coming - the ports that people actually wanted to see!!!

@TMNHertl I've got the physical on Switch but haven't opened it yet as I've been busy playing other games and I'm not a big RogueLike fan.
I can keep it sealed now and and play it on Xbox

I would have picked up Hades but will wait for it to drop for free on gamepass.
Everything else still looks overpriced

I would have liked to get this on Switch but I doubt there will be a big enough community to sustain it long term and the thought of playing a horde shooter with no voice chat instantly puts me off.

@Dr_Lugae has he actually been confirmed though? If its expanding into the sky surely they will need a new bad guy to spice it up.

Meh not that Interested in Smash but I was intrigued by which characters got thrown into volcano:
Captain Falcon, Pit, Marth and Someone from arms - could that be an Easter egg that we won't be seeing any new games from these franchises on Switch.
Ganon - could be an easter egg that he's not going to be in BotW2

Edit: Kirby coming back out could be a hint to a new game that's in early development !

Really excited with this announcement, it was probably the one that made the direct for me.

A new 2D metroid with artstyle that reminds me of Shadow Complex, should be awesome.

As long as they announce some new games and not just overpriced remakes and ports I will be happy.

Hopefully we get to hear about some new games coming this year and not just the same handful of known releases and more Ports.
The switch is getting hardly anything from third parties so its all on Nintendo to provide the AAA software releases.

@chardir a 12 month roadmap helps, especially when you have multiple systems to buy for, and usually multiple cartridges on Switch (when the Mrs likes the look of a game and wants to play multiplayer).

What are they doing for the Zelda anniversary outside of SS for example? How much do I need to put aside, will there be a special edition console I want? Giving me 3 months notice means I usualy have to go without other things - i get its a first world problem, but its still annoying.

@chardir they could give a 12 month roadmap which would allow for budgeting and if something gets delayed its easier to spend £60 than to pull it from pre allocated hobby funds last minute.

We have absolutely no idea what Nintendo has ready to go for the next 6 months, so I don't know how much I need to put aside and how much I have free to add to my monthly comic Subscription.

I hate waiting, I wish we had clearer release roadmaps and more information ahead of time.

I absolutely hate the way that Nintendo has taken to shadow dropping titles with very little notice.
It leads to me having to shuffle around my hobby funds if its a game I want to play and thenhave to decide what I'm going to drop for that month.

I dont get the Hate towards Furries, being a child of the 80's a large portion of our Saturday Morning Cartoons carried this kind of Art Style and I still love it now.

I hate playing multiplayer games in silence, imagine playing with 7 people and not being able to chat as you grind.

I would rather more cloud games come to switch than having to wait months for a significantly downgraded version to drop at full price.

Metroid Prime 4 following the development hell of Duke Nukem Forever and we all remember how that turned out.

Fun game but a little bit too simplistic. Will likely wait for the usual Ubisoft deep sale on this.

Would love to see some the newer Assassin's Creed games come to switch, we may see Valhalla if the rumoured Pro is true.

Unless it's a significant power increase I genuinely don't see the point in a new Switch for a handful of "exclusives". Especially when it is likely to be £400+, for hardware that is effectively still a generation behind everything else.

Hopefully a switch Pro adds more power than just allowing them to port 3 year old last gen titles. Hard to get excited for announcements like this.

Overwatch gets really sweaty on PlayStation and Xbox. Those guys going up against switch gamers whilst running 120FPS is going to be brutal.

@CactusMan we shouldn't have to buy 2 consoles and 2 copies of the games to play multiplayer in bed together, but that's pretty much the only optimal way of doing it on Switch - Unfortunately while we keep paying Nintendo is going to keep doing it.

I usually buy Nintendo games pre owned to stop them getting my money out of principle but Mario Golf TT was one of our favourite Cube games and the Mrs wanted the new one on release so it's cost me £100 - what a rip off no wonder I'm happier giving Microsoft my money for gamepass!

I knew they wouldn't make multiplayer straight forward so im glad we opted to just buy 2 copies of the game and we can play together over WiFi.

@Low_ink interesting how you can class someone who has put that much time and dedication into a game as a "Casual". If someone had put that much effort into a single FPS or Online title they would be classed as a "hard-core gamer".

@dont_simp_for_them the guy said it didn't matter about the theft because it was over 16 years ago.
I used Savile to emphasise that if someone has done wrong then the time frame shouldn't hold any bearing.

I didn't compare IP theft to sexual abuse, just in the timescale it took victims to come forward doesn't negate the crime in either case.

Some really clever use of blocks to create the spikes as well.

As for Lego we have picked up a few of the Videyo sets and they are quite fun - when the app works

Played some of my old favourites like LttP and Super Metroid when they first dropped, but haven't even bothered opening the app since.

I would rather NSO followed the PS+ and Xbox Gold model and charged a little more but gave newer/bigger games away each month.

Will this run at 60fps on Switch?

@EliteXeos to be fair the game has always encouraged price gouging and hyper inflation.
I've got a few decks worth a couple of hundred pound each because of a handful cards in them.

One of my wife's decks cost a small fortune to build, she will only play with Full Art cards if available and wanted an exclusive fairy deck - took ages chasing down 4 x FA Gardevoir and FA M Gardevoir EX cards along with Eevee and Sylveon.

Farcry 6 is looking good, and I'm hoping to hear that they are putting Ubisoft Plus onto gamepass

This is basically Nintendo testing how much lube to use before screwing their customers for the greatest profit possible.
