Re: Warhammer Age of Sigmar: Storm Ground Will Support Crossplay Multiplayer

Mr-Fuggles777

@DeclanS98 this looks like its taking a lot from the Underworld Boardgames (which are amazing small scale skirmish games).
I didn't play Mechanicas, but it looked to me like a Diablo style dungeon crawler in the 40k universe.

Hopefully this will have voice chat on Switch if it's crossplay. I couldn't imagine playing this sort of game in silence, it would get boring quickly.

Re: The Zelda & Loftwing Skyward Sword amiibo Will Cost More Than Regular Figures

Mr-Fuggles777

@screechums I assume you don't buy anything from stores either, they have marked up the price on all of their stock.

Its supply and demand, I only get a limited amount of money to spend on hobbies each month - buying and selling this amiibo means I can effectively get SS for free leaving my money intact for other stuff like comic books or boardgames.
If Nintendo didn't create false scarcity, these wouldn't jump in price and I wouldn't waste the time to buy, resell and post the amiibo.

I also buy old furniture and renovate it before selling for a profit, does this make me douche bag as well. Or is it only when it comes to buying and selling toys?

Re: Black Isle Admits There Have Been "Issues" With The Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance Switch Release

Mr-Fuggles777

@Ulysses you are obviously missing my point - which for whatever reason this port needed more development time for switch than any other system.

I went back and read through my comments and I never mentioned the switches power restrictions as a reason. I merely said that it couldn't handle having a 30 year old game ported to it without needing extra time - this is exactly what has happened.

Re: Knockout City Goes Live On Switch Next Week With A Ten-Day Free Trial

Mr-Fuggles777

@anoyonmus switch is £280 and Series S is £250. The switch Lite is cheapest coming in at £200.
The switch is also a gen behind Xbx1 and PS4 with a "pro" model likely to bring the switch up to base ps4 level when everything else will move forward once current gen systems become more available.

I'm not sure about Halo as I've just downloaded them all so haven't really looked. Might check it out when I need to make space.

Re: Knockout City Goes Live On Switch Next Week With A Ten-Day Free Trial

Mr-Fuggles777

@cdmac the old game ran on the 360 but I doubt the remake would.
Its 4k/30fps or 1440/60fps even without going into the other improvements, not to mention that the original game out in 2007 - anyone who wants to play it has done so already.

If you want to play these big modern games/reboots buy another console to go alongside the switch (a series S is cheaper than a switch). I would hate for games to be held back just so that they could run on old hardware.

Re: Limited Run Games Confirms E3 2021 Livestream

Mr-Fuggles777

@Magician I don't really care about collecting at all, I've only got about 30 physical switch games and I only have those because they were cheaper than buying them digitally, or ports I've bought pre owned to stop my money going to Nintendo.

@Paraka I'm more of a spontaneous consumer and tend to buy stuff as it appeals to me or grabs my attention.
I dislike having to plan pre orders and budget for stuff I have to wait ages for. That £50 is a game or two I can play today, which isn't an issue but I can't buy these games when they are actually released!!

Re: Limited Run Games Confirms E3 2021 Livestream

Mr-Fuggles777

I fail to see the infatuation people have with this company.
They charge way over the odds for indy games whilst creating a scarcity which encourages scalpers.
If you miss the pre order window or can't afford it at the time good luck finding a copy later on for a fair price.

Re: EA Play Live Returns Later This Year On July 22nd

Mr-Fuggles777

I would be happy seeing EA play come to switch, its great value.

It would be pretty cool being able to access their older games like Dead Space, Dantes Inferno, Alice Madness Returns and the Crysis Trilogy on Switch.
I cant see the newer games like Battlefield or Fallen Order running unless they offer them on a streaming service.

Re: Poll: Are You Excited About E3 2021?

Mr-Fuggles777

I'm more interested in what's coming out for the next gen consoles.
Hopefully Nintendo will announce some big first party titles but im not holding my breath for anything other than more ports and indy stuff for switch.

Re: It Seems Game Builder Garage Will Only Be Available On The eShop In Europe

Mr-Fuggles777

@Matl And what happens when the eshop inevitably goes down for good

Hopefully Nintendo is going to adopt backwards compatibility moving forward where everything rolls forward and you will always have access to your digital purchases on the newer systems.

I'm probably a little biased atm as I've recently picked up a new Xbox and I'm blown away with how consumer friendly it is. I immediately had access to my old 360 library of over 200 games the handful of Xb1 games I bought before trading the console in and even a few original xbox games I had picked up. Including gamepass I have access to over 600 games without having to take up any shelf space with cases.

Re: It Seems Game Builder Garage Will Only Be Available On The eShop In Europe

Mr-Fuggles777

@__jamiie I'm pushing 40 and I'm also excited about the evolution of digital gaming. I love the Gamepass model, pay £11 a month and play as many games as I want including new releases on day 1. That is much better value than paying £40-£70 for one game in my book.

"Temporary ownership of something you paid full price for that lasts as long as the company you bought it from decides you can have access to it."
You do realise that this also applies to physical games nowadays, how many games are actually released without requiring a patch? If a company decides to stop supporting those downloads your physical cart effectivly becomes a worthless piece of plastic

Re: Soapbox: Is It Time For Game Rental Stores To Return?

Mr-Fuggles777

I kind of miss the video stores but im much happier with the rent it from the couch options we have now.

I'm definitely in the minority on this site but I would be happy for all gaming to go fully subscription based - I would then do what I do with my streaming services and subscribe when they have something I want to play and cancel in the times between.

I've bought a series S with gamepass and I doubt I will ever have to actually buy a game for it, whereas my switch has cost me an absolute fortune in software because of the Nintetax on everything (and was more expensive to actually buy in the first place!)

Re: Toys For Bob Is Now A Support Developer For Call Of Duty: Warzone

Mr-Fuggles777

@Blizzia "also, anything published by Nintendo is still 1st party" so by your logic Battlefield was developed by EA and not Dice. Publishers just fund the development cycle and monetize the property.

BotW2 has been handed over to Monolith Soft.
MP4 is being developed by Retro.
Pokemon Legends is being developed by gamefreak.
Mario Golf is being developed by Camelot.
Paper Mario OK was developed by Intelegent Systems.
HW AoC was Koi Tecmo with the help of omega force.

At this point you are simply highlighting that Nintendo has pretty much become another EA or Activision with the only difference being they make their own hardware and developed 1 game (splatoon) in 3 years
