Everyone asking for Gamepass on Switch and I'm sat here wishing I could play the Nintendo back catalogue with Series S/X upgrades on my Xbox.

Saying that I have been watching High Rise Invasion which is 80% gratuitous panty shots so I could just be desensitised to it lol.

@thor27 so it's basically a green Mario and a blatant cash grab using minimal effort.

That just looks like a repaint of the Mario one, hopefully its a little taller and slimmer when compared side by side.

I've bought 3 copies on Switch, 1 on my og Switch and after I sold it and bought a Lite for myself and the wife I got us 2 more copies.

I just wish there was more interaction online, it feels like you are just racing NPC's when you can't chat while you race or gloat after spamming 3 red shells
I understand that Nintendo is trying to "protect the kids" from us potty mouths, but surely having an option to allow or block chat in the parental settings would stop that issue.

I've just started a new game on Code Vein and will continue the grind in Monster Hunter Rise and Outriders.

Last few years I've been a Nintendo and PlayStation gamer but the Mrs surprised me with a Series S as its small enough to take to work and I'm a gamepass convert. I have just grabbed the Memory Expansion and I'm currently downloading every Halo game to play through again as I haven't had an xbox since the OG Xb1.

Since signing up for gamepass I've gone from buying 2-3 games a week on Switch to pretty much none - the only switch game I've picked up since having the Xbox is MHRise. It probably doesn't help that I grabbed Razor Kishi so Xcloud also gives me the benefits of portable play for games like Outer Wilds without the Switches downgrades.

I remember being blown away with the graphics on the first Prime coming from the 2D games, this won't be as much as a step up due to the hardware. As long as it looks as good as Rise It should be alright, just won't be anything genre defining.

This is my most anticipated game for Switch, would love to see a metroid with 4k raytracing running at 120 fps!

Unfortunately it's on Switch so I definitely won't get my hopes up as it's more likely going to be 720p and 30fps judging by recent AAA releases like Crash 4 and MHRise

@Lanmanna Pokimane and Belle Delphine have both made a living off of thirsty teens on YouTube. In Belle Delphines case quite literally - she was selling bottles of her bath water FFS!

But can you play as a "gurl gamer" and coast on likes by just wearing a crop top and hot pants while streaming Animal Crossing?

I'm not sure if I will play it again as I still have it on xbox arcade, but if you've never played it before I can 100% recommend picking it up.

@ModdedInkling an MMORPG in the vein of ESO set in the BotW universe, I would definitely be up for that. They would have to vastly increase the map size as well as adding in dungeons and raids etc, but if they got the endgame content right and had regular expansions it could run forever.

Would be nice if it had little NFC chips on the pages that you could store your amibo data to.

I won't be buying another Ubi Cross play on ​switch.
I couldn't play FR due to the vaseline filter, zero draw distance and excessive motion blur (which gave me motion sickness).
I genuinely wish I had grabbed the xbox or PlayStation version, especially as I would have gotten the next gen upgrade instead of being stuck with this mess.

@PALversusNTSC Smartphones handle online games just fine. I've been playing Destiny 2, Outriders and MHW on mine via gamepass and had no issues at all.

Whras on the switch, I cant even chat to people I'm hunting with on MHRise or talk tactics in Splatoon - which is a team based shooter ffs!

@ImBackBB possibly, I could definitely be misremembering. I've always just thought of her as a Toad for some reason.

@ImBackBB I'm too tired to go searching but I'm.sure in the original instruction book or strat guide for Super Mario Bros, Peach was shown to have Toad parents so she can't be human.
She's just adopted a human shape, similar to toadette when she wears the super crown.

@ModdedInkling it's already available on Xbox via backwards compatibility which is probably why they didn't bother.

@Zeldafan79 Cyberpunk was an ambitious game that CDPR over sold and under developed - it didn't run on any if the base consoles and still doesn't run well after numerous patches

Republic Commando is a port of a 3 gen old game, this just shows that the publishers couldn't be bothered investing to get it running smoothly on the Switch.

I really need to start playing this, I keep looking at it in my downloads and always end up playing something else instead.

@Zidentia Ori felt like a Nintendo game albeit slightly darker in tone, especially as the ending to WotW left me a little emotionally broken.

@WiltonRoots I work nights and I'm lucky enough to be able to play games if its quiet and take my switch and Xbox Series S, so I can get 8-10 hours of gaming in a shift. I prefer multiplayer as sitting in a room alone for 50 hours a week gets pretty boring.

@Strumpan I'm likely going to skip the next gen Nintendo console due to the pricing discrepancies and lack of 1st party exclusives.
Its a shame as it will be the first Nintendo console since the Snes that I've not bought at launch.

@WiltonRoots they just offer better online services, ive only just gone back to xbox ( Igot rid of my XB1 early on last gen) and its hard to ignore the value for money you get from them (My Series S cost less than my OG switch!).
If Nintendo pulled their finger out and sorted the online service there wouldn't be a comparison to be made would there.

It winds me up that games are always way overpriced on the system and it's actually gamers who can't afford other systems getting screwed hardest.
Look at Skyrim and DOOM both are years old (10+ for Skyrim and 5+ for DOOM) and can be picked up on literally every other system for around £10, yet on Switch there is a 150% markup on their sale price FFS!.

I also wouldn't say that I'm lucky to have other consoles, I work damn hard for my money and will spend it on the hobbies I enjoy. If you want the nice things then go work for them and stop moaning.

Just because I have spare cash doesn't mean I'm happy for the big corporations to screw me over on pricing - how does that Nintendo boot taste?

Pointing out flaws with a system doesn't make you a hater, ive owned every Nintendo console, have multiple Nintendo tattoo's and stupid amounts of merch so I could be classed as a fan I suppose. A lot of us feel disenfranchised with Switch after supporting them through the last gen only to be sold the same games again for full price with hardly anything new.

@Rambler Oddworld SoulStorm is £45 to buy so having that included this month has already shredded the difference in subscription prices and that before you factor in the 2 PS4 games

Still not great deals considering the price you can buy these elsewhere.
They are all also included on Gamepass now

@Blizzia it's only £3 a month difference better NSO and PS+ yet the services provided are miles apart.

I would happily pay the same as PS+ on Switch to get a better online service and have AAA / AA games added in monthly to play whilst the sub is active.

You could add cats to any game and I will pretty much buy it day 1!

@Blizzia true, but you also get a lot more for your subscription from Sony and Microsoft than you do with Nintendo. I pay to play online so effectively the games added are "free".
Even if we remove the games Nintendo's online service is years behind the competitors. No voice chat or party options, you can't send friends a message and the actual online stability is poor for most Nintendo games - Smash was borderline unplayable for the first year (no idea if it's stable now as I got rid of it).

@Ghost_of_Hasashi it's true that you get a library of nes and snes games but for £3 a month more Sony gives away current AAA games. This month they added the new Oddworld game to the PS+ lineup along with Days Gone & Zombie Army 4. Last month we got FF7 remake!
Xbox Gold free games are a little more disappointing but with GPU it's not really a problem, and it's nice getting multi gen games for free every month.

Bluetooth support would be nice on Switch as my new Xbox Wireless Headset is coming tomorrow, I would have to play MHR muted.

Will definitely be getting this, but probably grab the digital version if its cheaper as I'm not interested in having a box.

Monster Hunter Rise is Standard Def handheld but is an absolutely amazing game and looks stunning - Immortals FR is a blurry mess with zero draw distance, a vaseline filter and excessive motion blur.

Couldn't enjoy this on switch at all, it was so muddy looking and the amount of motion Blur gave me worse sickness than Skyrim VR!
Such a shame as there was a decent game in there, I just wish I had picked it up on PlayStation or Xbox and I would have gotten a free upgrade to new gen instead of being stuck with old tech.

The switch needs a complete overhaul not a slight upgrade for a new model.
The current switch can't even handle 1080 on new releases, seems ridiculous that people are asking for 4k. Base last gen systems didn't hit that resolution and to expect a handheld with the power of a PS4 pro or X1X is a little far fetched.

With games like MHR looking so good and selling so well on current switch why do Nintendo need to push for an upgrade that would price a large proportion of the customer base out. Many of us gamers wouldn't think twice about dropping £500-£600 on a console, but how many casuals are going to do that and that's Nintendo's biggest market share.

It was Bow for me right through World and Icebourne but I wasn't feeling it in Rise so have swapped to Long Sword and having fun.

I was in a hunt earlier against Magnamalo and the other 3 hunters all had Insect Glaive - it was insane, you couldn't see what was going on but that beast dropped fast.

@JaxonH look at the charts, they show week in/ week out that most switch gamers only buy Nintendo exclusives.

The latest top 10 has got MK8, Animal Crossing & Mario games but no cross aplatform ames like Atelier Ryza or Perosona Strikers. Bravely Default 2 didn't even chart and that's an exclusive.
