Re: Pokémon Shuffle Available to Download Right Now, for Free, in Europe

Monsti

I'm 100% done with f2p. I thought there are ways to still enjoy it with no or little money but it just doesn't work. You enjoy the game and at some point the frustration sets in. For a while I tried to convince myself that "well, this game is worth 3€ to me and I got it for free" but it just feels terrible if you feel like you have to pay to win and eventually it always does.

Uh yes, this is what bad restaurants though. When your one location struggles...open another one. That will sure help. <_< Please don't tell me anymore that Nintendo has been in buisness for 125 years, so that must know what they are doing...If they kniw what they are doing then this is their way to break away from games...cause they sure won't be able to do all of what they say if they want to keep/ gain customers.
Solve your problems before you create more :/

Re: Poll: Which New Nintendo 3DS Will You be Buying?

Monsti

I know this is kinda unrelated but man...those faceplates look fantastic.

I ordered the Embassedor 3DS (still waiting like most of Germany) but I'm not sure if I'll be happy wit it. Can't really image havong a smaller screenright now.

Re: Retrospective: The Legend of Zelda: The Minish Cap - A Decade On

Monsti

After being burned by the Oracle games again last year (stopped playing them the dungeon design is the worst in Zelda history in my eyes) I finally played it over the Christmas break on the WiiU after never finished it on the GBA back in the day. Absolutely surprised. After a bit of a slow start it turned out to be what I think is one of the best Zelda titles. It's definitly in my top 5 (I generally still prefer 2D). I also thought the length was perfect.

Re: Nintendo and GungHo Online Entertainment Announce Puzzle & Dragons: Super Mario Bros. Edition For 3DS

Monsti

This is exciting. I've been hearing a lot about this game and how addicted the Japanese gaming world is. But if I remember correctly this was f2p on the phone. (Maybe I'm wrong). But this concept as an actual full price game without microtransaction is just awesome. I've been playing those kind of games on the iphone for a while but the f2p aspect always leaves a bitter taste...can't wait.

Re: New Nintendo 3DS Ambassador Editions Already In The Hands Of Lucky Buyers

Monsti

There was nothing "selected" about this. I organise Streetpass-meetings in my state and my friend does in the neighbour state. Of our base of like 60 people 1 person got the mail, and it was someone not buying many games. This is really bad to me and shows again that while Nintendo means well, they are terribly out of touch with their fans...ennoying.

Re: Video: Nintendo Minute Reveals Its Game of the Year Winners

Monsti

I'm always surprised how much people here on the site love Tropical Freeze. I'm playing it right now and it feels like a very mediocre game to at best. I loved MK8 although it sometimes feels really unbalanced. Much more so than Smash. But yeah I'd go with MK8 if it comes to first party. Had a lot of fun with it (still do!) and it has the best DLC ever (Shovel Knight still my game of the year and I feel like that game is pretty much perfect).

Re: Toys "R" Us Provides a Fresh Update on Cancelled amiibo Pre-Orders

Monsti

@Pod Same here in Germany. I slowly start to see less villagers and Marths not that the second wave has arrived but the kids all buy Skylanders (Infinity doesn't seem to go over too well here either).
I'm pretty sure the reason is that it's mostly collectors/nostalgic Nintendo-Fans who cause the shortage in the States and of course: The resellers who bought them 20 times and make the prices now.

Re: Poll: Have You Been Able to Buy the Super Smash Bros. Controller, GameCube Adapter and amiibo You Want?

Monsti

@MadAdam81 You know what...I didn't wanna buy them and sell them because I don't feel like ripping people off. But doing it a fair price is really not a bad idea. I wouldn't mind. In fact (and sorry to all Americans who have to read this and didn't get one) I just bought mine 2 hours ago at a reduced price because they are not going so well here. They were 12 bucks...

Re: Rosalina & Luma amiibo Exclusive to Target in US, as More Peculiar Defects Are Shown Off Online

Monsti

@NinjaWaddleDee Nintendo didn't plan on this. I don't think they want to keep these figurines from you but rather just didn't expect the hype (because they're bad with these kind of things) and don't have more shelf space. Also: Wii Fit and Marth are only a big hit because they are rumored to be sold out soon. Again: Here in Germany noone cares about this. All figurines are plenty and normal price. But as soon as the rumor arrived people in the States (especially greedy resellers) rushed to the stores and bought them out.

Re: Talking Point: The Time Is Right For A Nintendo Phone

Monsti

I gotta say this article dosen't make a lot of sense to me. Sorry.
The phone market is so oversaturated and I don't see why trying to get a share in is any useful to Nintendo. People only have 1 phone, but everybody who has a phone can still buy a 3DS...I don't really see the point. And then there are parts like this:
"By creating its own "mobile eShop", Nintendo could release the entire Virtual Console back catalogue and unify its digital storefront across all of its devices. By linking them all together, we could finally see a time when games could be purchased on your phone and then queued for download on your 3DS or Wii U — something which Sony already allows via its own smartphone application and website."

Why do we need a phone for this? Nintendo is already not good at making something out of the VC...why would that suddenly change on a phone and why do we need a phone to get a better VC.

The Miiverse thing is the same. I love Miiverse but most people are already not using it anymore. I don't see that changing just because they have it on the go.

Re: Shovel Knight Digs For Victory With 300,000 Copies Sold

Monsti

So glad it worked out. It's my game of the year.

To everyone who thinks they made a lot of money: There's an article out there where the completely present their whole development process. The worked without a paycheck since may. With this success the pretty much break even with having earned a normal average salary in the last 18 month...

Re: Poll: Who'll Be Your Main amiibo Buddy?

Monsti

After seeing how they actually (the picture up there is STILL the prototype versions with the nicer stand) I might not get any. Already cancelled my Fox preorder, not sure if I shouldn't cancel Samus as well...
