@Inkling not really, not that many people know who Nintendo is compared to iQue which is an established brand, and China is far from the market that the USA or Europe are. I just don't understand the point for the 30 posts, what if I use my 30 posts helping others, but then when I have a question, I can't ask it on miiverse because I was too busy helping others. If they moved it up to 50 I don't think I'd have a problem but 30 just seems so low.

@Fazzie_Bear They were on the VR bandwagon about 20 years ago, the result was their worst console ever. And for all we know, VR is gong to be something that will completely flop and just be a expensive gimmick. Not sure about you but I don't know anyone irl with a pc good enough to run the OR.

@helbertpina Nintendo could do that because they made the hardware, they know every last thing in there, and they have teams of top-notch devs constantly learning new ways to optimize games for it. To expect that from a third party is completely unfair.

@PlywoodStick The capture card problem would be solved by adding spectator mode. And AFAIK, you wouldn't need to bring a whole PC just to do voicechat, a raspberry pi 2 with some cheap equipment (plus a nice headset) could do the job just fine with Mumble while being much more portable.

@shani so the only way to avoid lightning is by saving an item you only get in like 10th? even though you have no idea when the lightning will strike as someone could just look and see that someone has a star so they simply wait the 15 seconds for you star to be over and then bam. Dodging a fire flower, just look behind you! you'll definitely still be driving will lots of skill even though there is a banana right in front of you that you can't see because you're LOOKING BACKWARDS!

@shani because the GP mic does suck, and headset mics don't suck if you actually get a decent one. And there is a lot stopping me from using TS, the current lack of friend lobbies that actually put you on the same team. (which should be fixed by august) and I don't know what teamspeak being game independent has to do with my comment.

@Aromaiden it says you an make a team with your friends and than search for others, it really depends on what 'search' means (like the game randomly pairs you up or can you actually search different groups). And for friend lobbies it doesn't specifically state if you can pick your teams.

@Aromaiden "will allow you to create private teams with your friends" AFAIK we don't yet know if the game will randomly choose the teams or if you can manually set them. I'd assume the latter but Nintendo has done weirder things before.

Seeing as I'm part of that "small fan campaign that seeks to make Splatoon more suitable for competition". It really could be a good competitive game, if that august update allows private lobbies to choose their teams and mode etc. then all Splatoon would really need is a LAN mode and a spectator mode before the scene could really start to grow. Splatoon doesn't really need voice chat either as let's face it, the Wii U GP microphone sucks and is nothing compared to a headset with a built-in mic and teamspeak.

@rferrari24 They can't just choose which games to make BC, it is or it isn't BC. Unless it is several times more powerful than the Wii U which would cost a lot of $$$.

AFAIK the octobrush is defferent from the inkbrush rather than a reskin with different subs and specials.

@MWGknight "make it x86" "make it backwards compatible with Wii U" It doesn't work that way. The Wii U uses some sort of modified PPC, that, by default makes it impossible to run games on a x86 computer natively. It would need to run a PPC emulator while running the game (ie it would be very hard to get to work). Same reason while the PS4 and the X1 aren't truly BC with their predecessors.

@gamermole This be no means confirms them actually publishing it. And NL reports Unseen64 rumors becuase they have predicted some very unlikely things that turned out to be correct.

It's a home console - lots of people who have a Wii U won't buy it because they just bought a Wii U for Zelda U, also can only be BC if it's a PPC (Unlike the PS4 and X1 which are x86-64) and has GP support. Which A)makes it harder to port to and B) requires a $150 Gamepad for lots of games

It's a hybrid - no third party is ever going to develop for it, it will be in the exact same situation as the Wii U and Wii were in, they can't just port x game over, they actually have to do major changes just for it to work. It won't be as powerful as the PS4/X1 and will lose third party games that are on the PS4/X1. If it was to be as powerful as the PS4 or X1 then it will cost at least $600 for parts alone.

It's a handheld - becomes 3ds successor, if it comes out in 2016 it gives the 3DS the normal 5-year lifespan of any other console. n3ds owners might not get on the bandwagon right away.

@RatKing64 You know, the Tellius games had better graphics (480p but had an older anime style which doesn't appeal to all) cutscenes (IMO), but definitely better story (Awakening's SUCKED).

Each route has about the same total content of Awakening, so really, we get three different Fire Emblems in 2015.

You know, a copy of this was out in the wild for about a week already, I've been playing it. (yes, the third route). Some hacker literally just downloaded it off of Nintendo's server.

@ShadJV Xenoblade 3D didn't require an amiibo for anything that you couldn't unlock normally.

They gave a 2015 date for Xenoblade, they win E3 in my book.

@Zach777 Fire Emblem If/Fate would sell like crap on the app store/play store. That is a game you need lots of strategy for and lots of free time to complete, pretty much the opposite of a popular mobile game.

@Doggedfrog The GBA games maybe?, it doesn't really matter that much what one you start out with. Only thing is that you should play the GC game before the Wii game as they are directly related to each other.

@OddworldCrash and squids who only try to get kills (i.e. a ton of people online) are wasting their time. Every second they aren't shooting enemy territory, and are only looking for the enemy, is time wasted. They are important, but it really isn't a good idea to solely focus on the kills unless you're in an organized team where that's your job.

@AlexMurphy You have no clue what you are talking about.... the 3ds can run GBA games natively because it has built in firmware to do so (AGB_FIRM). It doesn't matter if it is ARM7/9/11 (especially as ARM11 is backwars compatible with ARM7, not sure 'bout 9), Nintendo are masters at utilizing their own hardware and this is no exception.
