@Yorumi because they haven't been able to play Nintendo games without buying a console, so if they remember how good Nintendo is, they might be convinced to try out their consoles that they haven't played since they were kids.

I just hope that they don't "make people pay $0.99 to make Mario jump higher" or some other F2P concept where you can't actually get the entire experience without paying 99c here $2 there until you've spent over $100. Something like paying for more lives would be fine as it isn't forcing you to pay and you can still earn them in game without too much trouble, and if you're good enough, you wouldn't have to pay anything.

@IceClimbers I'm using Zelda as more of an example, I could also use Mario games, (Wii had 2 3d games and one 2d game). And 5 years isn't average, it's tied for the shortest with the GC and the JP GBA. (excluding the VB of course)

@Purple What 'controls' on a smartphone, they all have touch screens, they can't really have anything else even if they wanted to.

@IceClimbers And leave Wii U owners, who will have just got their first original Zelda game (DS had 2 original, Wii had 1.5 original, 3ds has one new 2 remakes), in the dust? That is what Sega did and look what happened with the Dreamcast.

@Revolution909 The Wii U is more powerful than the PS3/XBox 360 and it didn't lure 3rd parties.

@Bolt_Strike They only 'announced' it in 2015 to rest assure people that they'll continue making dedicated home consoles. That's like if Sony mentioned a PS5 during a conference then people start saying it must be ready to release then. they mentioned it, NO details at all were giving other than wait until 2016 (mind you, that's at LEAST 9 months away).

@aaronsullivan I'd MUCH rather see something like that than some merge between portable and non-portable. The non-portable aspect be restricted by the portable aspect. And if one was x86 say goodbye to GC/ Wii/U backwards compatibility. And it'd be worse than on disc DLC if they released a $400 console and then a $200 portable and then made it so you'd only get the full experience with the handheld and console.

@Endriu7777 Don't expect that, the console will likely be PPC or x86 which would make it incompatible with ARM (3ds/DS) and potentially the Wii/U (PPC)

This is likely going to be the first game that I'll support on Kickstarter.

I don't care if it does look like more of a rip-off, Mojang and M$ have had their chance to bring it to Wii U, they failed so someone is doing it for them.

This is probably the worst excuse for anything ever. I can't think of a time when someone ever gave such a bad excuse. IDC that much that it isn't on Wii U but wow...

KARL3DS and OSKA are sure benefiting from how Gateway rushed this out. They didn't even try to encrypt the code they used, it was free for anyone to see and reverse engineer.

Well, at least a kernel exploit is likely coming within the next few weeks/months for the Wii U. then I can mod games all I want.

@outburst DK64 3D (as much as I want it to), won't happen due to licensing issues with Rare. I really sometimes hate you Micro$oft. That's why it wasn't on the Wii's VC.

@Jamester0722 Unless you want the portability or model viewer, then I'd say no. IMO it looks worse than the Wii version graphically (considering the graphics were the only bad thing in the original, it does make a difference). And you can't transfer your save over so you can't start on new game+, you'd have to start from lvl 1, which is already possible on the Wii if you ever wanted to start from scratch again anyway.

I would buy every single XBX amiibo if there was one, even if they each cost $100 on eBay.

Xbox 1 isn't an architecture, it's a console that uses an x86 CPU. jeez, I wasn't stating a fact, I read on several places that the n3ds had a dual core, I made a mistake, get over it. And it can only use three cores since one is entirely dedicated to the OS. And that same hacker found that the GPU is likely the same or very similar.

@StarDust4Ever Its not like there's no emulators already on the 3ds (see: BlargSNES, CitrAGB, GameYob). And there's emulators on the computer, and on the exploit no big games (read: larger than a few MBs) can be played.
@SanderEvers 99.9% (literally) of the time something crashes, it isn't exploitable. However look up 'Wii U hacking discussion' on GBA Temp and go to page 201, 6 pots down or until the big picture. (This is NOT a site with illegal links on it, in fact you will get banned very quickly if you post a link to a site with illegal content on it.)

@CrimSkies97 AFAIK the n3ds has a dual-core and PPC pipelines are better than ARM11 ones. But man, looking up these specs make both consoles look horrendous considering the RPi 2B has an ARM11 quad core that can be over clocked to 1ghz (reg is 0.9 ghz), four times as much RAM etc and is like 1/10 the price of a n3ds.

N3DS is not a number. The Wii is more powerful than a N3DS, the clock speed is slower, its ARM not PPC. It had more Ram but that doesn't matter that much when both numbers are pretty low, the N3DS also has a much lower res.

@CrimSkies97 Why? Xenoblade needed the n3ds likely solely because of the huge open world, DKCR3D worked just fine on the normal 3ds.

@Quorthon Just like the Conker game coming to X-Box One or that Crash game on the PS4. Every company has made/is making many mistakes. People need to stop treating companies like some sort of perfect group of people that never make mistakes. (This is in reply to your first post BTW)

I don't know anyone, excluding myself, that has soft-modded their Wii or vWii, heck, I don't know anyone who has soft-modded anything other than an iPhone. I didn't buy my Wii U just for homebrew, but to play games. And because I was able to get Xenoblade without giving $100 to EB Games or some guy one eBay (notice how either way, Nintendo get $0 from my purchase), I now fully intend to get XCX. And if I was going to get a n3ds I would buy XC on there as well.

@Einherjar The PS4 hasn't been hacked yet. Apparently an jail break is coming in 2015 but still, over 10 million in sales and I'll grantee that over 90% of those people won't hack it. Only a minority will buy a console solely to pirate games on it, they'd normally wait on an emulator to be released instead.

@Jahir, they can't just brick their systems as soon as they see a user using a flashcard. I'm pretty sure Apple would screw up all jail broken iPods/phones if they could, but they can't.

@Grumblevolcano I doubt they'd do that. XB3D is exclusive to the n3ds because it just wouldn't run on a regular 3ds. I don't see why RD and PoR couldn't run on a regular 3ds and thus, couldn't see it every being a n3ds exclusive IF they did remake those games. I could potentially see something like The Last Story being another exclusive though.

In Canada, the SSB4 (Wii U) is $20 off at future shop. The sale lasts till the 29th. That's how I got my copy.
