@Fee Why is a kickstarter game any different from a game with a publisher? It's good DLC practice because A)Everything is free to backers B)They're only making it after the game releases and C)It will probably be good DLC not the 'pay $5 and we'll give you a blue shirt' type of DLC. (Basing off of how passionate Playtonic seem to be)
@Captain_Gonru honestly, when I was playing, I completely forgot about the lack of VC. Everyone on my team was doing there job well and it was the most fun I've had online ever. The gamepad map felt like it erased the need for VC and IMO the mic sucks badly on the Gamepad so I wouldn't even use it in friend matches.
@Dolphin64 Because A)To get something when the ONLY other way to get it is to pay some random eBay seller $100+ for a $50 item, thus the original maker (Nintendo and Monolith let's say) get nothing out of my purchase cough Xenoblade cough. B)When prices are stupidly high in the first place (Adobe photoshop) and C) To try things out first that you're not sure you'll like enough to pay for.(I didn't know if I'd like Xenoblade, now I'm getting X soley due to the fact I was able to play XBC, which I pirated, and really loved).
I really don't see the problem with the Smash DLC, characters are huge undertakings (and are a huge part of the game compared to stages which 90% of them can be recreated in stage builder) and can take a long time to balance, the price for them is fair IMO as they still need to make a profit, the costumes, which IDC about, don't seem that overpriced either, buy the few you like for $3 and yeah. Seriously, in Canada, they cost less than a cheap chocolate bar, big deal.
MK8's DLC while I love it, I also hate it, the DLC itself is great and all, but it just felt like the first pack was trying to do too much and the course design suffered because of it, cause, let's be real, Excitebike was boring as crap, go forward -> U turn -> go forward -> U-turn -> repeat x3, and it wasn't crazy like Baby Park is either with items going everywhere.
@Meaty-cheeky E3 is less than 3 months away, why in their right mind would they announce a new game or show us Starfox? And why does the 3ds need DS VC, just go and buy a DS game and stick it in the cartridge slot!
Hopefully we get Mew2 release date, an approximate XCX date (ie Q2, Q3), Splatoon release date, some info on MK8 May DLC, a new major title, more info on FE if, and some starfox stuff.
@Quorthon No, just because a child is healthy, happy, and loved doesn't mean their parents are doing a good job, my example shows a parent that doesn't care about what their child is exposed to and thus is being downright lazy by not even looking into what their child is doing, I'm not saying if they allowed it they're bad parents but to not even look into it is being a bad parent. If they looked into what was in those games/movies and decided it was okay because they think their child is mature enough to handle it great! let your kid play that game/watch that movie. But if you don't even attempt to look into the content, even if you would allow your child it, is being a bad parent. I've seen far to many parents who've bought their 7 year old GTAV but then gone and ridiculed that same child for playing something far less graphic and mature than GTA.
I remember, not to long ago, seeing a ~10 year old pick up GTA, but then not being allowed to buy FFXIII because his mother had a friend who shared the game theory episode that was titled "Why FF is anti-religion" via facebook even though she admitted to not actually watching it. I was so close to walking there and telling her how bad of a parent she was.
@Quorthon That can correlate with parenting skill, if a parent lets their 7 year old kid go into a random video game store, pick any game and buy it, I'm sorry, even if the child is happy, healthy and loved, you're doing something wrong.
@DarthNocturnal it is impossible for you to brick your Wii U by messing around in your vWii. Even then you'd have to be a complete moron to brick your vWii (ie doing something that is clearly stated to not do), which doesn't affect your Wii U mode in any way whatsoever. $100>$240+not as good of an experience+portability.
@DarthNocturnal buy the cheapest version you can find with a language you speak, hack your vWii/Wii and play it on your Wii U/Wii so you can bypass region lock, no pirating it or doing anything illegal. Done.
@AVahne If you were going to make this permanent you would either A)have to modify the game's code for every game you want to play or B)mess with your NAND which=an easy brick.
@TingLz slowly raises hand.... I'm sorry, but I wasn't waiting for over a year for NoA to get off their butts and change like three lines of code in the PAL version of Xenoblade.
@KodyDawg Kojima is a legend in the games industry. This is big news for the industry as a whole, and Nintendo Life, being a gaming site, is reporting it.
@AlexSora89 double the power+their amazing skill at optimizing game (i.e. Smash 4 Wii U) and the next console Sony and M$ make (if they make another one) would be like comparing a C64 to a N64.

Re: Xbox Boss Phil Spencer Reckons "It Would Be Cool" if Rare's Banjo Was Voted in as Super Smash Bros. DLC
@JtotheY I couldn't see Banjo being a clone happening even if Sakurai had tried to make him one.

brb voting for banjo

@abbyhitter it likely got a 9 due to the smaller screens of the n3ds, which is a hardware limitation that nonetheless hampers the experience.
Re: Review: Elliot Quest (Wii U eShop)
@rjejr I think it's more of the style per se than the actual detail itself. I for one enjoy graphics like these, I also like 1080p detailed games.

Well, if Sakurai had that mentality, FE would still be a JP only series.
