Actually, graveyards are no more likely to spawn Ghost-types than anywhere else. And I'm not sure about railroad tracks, since it doesn't look like they even show up on the in-game map.
$280 for a Wii U bundle is pretty bad. Black Friday last year had a better bundle for $250. Also, the New 3DS XL has been on sale before for $175. Just get a refurbished one for $170 from Nintendo. In other news, if you want a decent smartphone for Pokémon GO but don't need AR mode right now, the Huawei Honor 5X is $120 (an $80 discount). It doesn't have gyro, though, so AR mode won't work, but I imagine Niantic will update the app at some point with a fix using the accelerometer and compass.
@YouSeemFRAZZLED In addition, they said that all of Nintendo's IPs were being considered(not just Mario), and that it was expected to open by the 2020 Olympics.
I'm just wondering why you would want to watch anime on a 3DS if it isn't in 3D. Basically any other media device can play video faster and in better resolution.
As a beta tester, I was genuinely surprised when I found out the game was launching so soon. I'm not sure how different the finished game is (since I haven't been able to sign in), but a lot of the bugs that people are reporting now are bugs that Niantic has known about for a while. One of the main ones is that the AR mode doesn't work on phones without good gyroscopes. (I don't know why they can't use the compass, since it almost does the same thing.) Crashes on not-top-of-the-line phones and heavy battery usage were two other major issues, though Niantic swore the latter would be fixed by launch. This game shouldn't have been launched until late August at the earliest.
I wouldn't mind seeing a massive-multiplayer online Zelda game, with a world larger than BotW's. I don't personally think local multiplayer works very well for Zelda titles.
Why this is important: 1. This is the first time that Sega has confirmed that there is in fact a game being made. 2. There's good chance that this game will be a release game for the NX, so we might learn more about the NX through this game. (For example, if it's fully revealed at the event on July 22nd, and NX is one of the systems that gets it, then one could say that the NX would be revealed at least in part on or before that day.)
"Nintendo has confirmed that Disney Magical World 2 will arrive in Europe on October 14th - the same date that it hits North America." So that's why there's so few comments. If the European release was later, then 80% of the comments would be Europeans complaining about how they don't get the game the same day NA does, even though most of them aren't going to buy the game anyway.
I personally haven't backed anything in Kick-started, though I may in the future. From my view, I think it's safest to back projects that actually have demos of the game, like Undertale and Freedom Planet.
Motion controls added maybe $25 to the cost of the Wii, and the Gamepad added maybe $50 to the cost of the Wii U. Meanwhile, VR would add at least $400 to the cost of the NX. Plus, it would be optional, so very few people would actually get it for the NX, so Nintendo would have to spend a lot more dev time satisfying a small minority.
EU fans of Sonic the Hedgehog? I G it's either a game that isn't already in Europe is going to be localized or something, or maybe another 25th anniversary party. It won't be a new game.
@anthonysea We can hope, but Ubisoft probably blamed Raman Legends' underwhelming sales on people not wanting new Rayman games, instead of their disastrous launch delay that killed all hype for the game.
@Mega_Yarn_Poochy I was wondering how many people would have to send news tips before NL realized that news had happened. I guess the staff's resting up for E3 coverage next week and just forgot to check the News Tips for a day.
@Detective_TeeJay Because it sounds better as 2 comments than as a longer edited comment. It was a stylistic decision that I didn't expect to have to explain. Then again, the way NL does comments is kinda odd, so maybe editing the original comment would've been less awkward.
Using this could lead to being banned from the beta if Niantic were to find out. Since the app is third party, using it with Pokemon GO inadvertently leads to confidential information being shared to people that haven't been invited to the beta, which is grounds for getting kicked out of the beta.
@whiffy5 The episodes are: Chili Dog Day Afternoon (where Knuckles goes on that quest to get the perfect pepper) It Wasn't Me, It Was the One-Armed Hedgehog (where Sonic gets framed for robbing Eggman, and it turns out to be Metal Sonic) It Takes A Village To Defeat a Hedgehog (Eggman gets all the supervillains together, and Shadow fights Sonic because Sonic can't build IKEA products)
@NintendoFan64 Well, they'd probably make more money if they used the Teen Titans, Powerpuff Girls, and Ghostbusters reboots, but the fans would be upset. But hey, Lego Dimensions could use the originals. Then we could say "the Lego version's better than the reboot".
@SushiGummy Seems like recently the NL staff have been trying to instigate flame wars by posting outdated images. Luckily, Shantae's skin color isn't as hot of a topic as possible localization.
The art direction is interesting. I really like the hand-drawn look of the levels, but I can't quite figure out if I like having the player and interactable objects be pixel art. I mean, the pixel art is nice here, but... I don't know. I hope this does well.
@unovachamp90 It is, but compared with Sega's other mobile apps (mostly in Japan), it doesn't make enough money (especially in Japan). So basically, despite being a good game, and well-received in the West, it hasn't made the splash in Japan that Sega was hoping for, so they're freeing up servers for mobile games that are making more money.
And just when the Android version got really good... Sonic Runners is a great mobile game. Great soundtrack, lots of meaningful, strategic customization, and gosh, the competitive modes make it addictive. And your experience isn't diminished at all if you don't pay for anything; I'm able to earn enough Rings and Red Star Rings to use all the bonuses to boost my score and get pretty high scores on the leaderboards, and still have enough to unlock characters and/or Buddies once in a while. It's a shame it's shutting down; it's much more fun and deep than Sonic Dash was.
The Code Name STEAM demo broke my SD card. I'm scared that downloading the full game will make me lose save data again. Otherwise, it looks like a great game, and I considered buying it.
Question: How can Birthright be 5th in multi-format but 6th in single format? Birthright's only on one console. That would mean there was a game that sold well one one console but sold negative copies on another.
@Spooj Well, I'd say most people agree with at least 2-3 of the points I made. Maybe it's a good game, but it's not a great game. And it's too weird to most Western 3DS owners. Those two factors make Yo-Kai Watch a textbook niche title, which is fine, but it's not the mega-selling international franchise Level 5 seems to think it is.
Yokai Watch didn't do well here just because it was "too Japanese". It just wasn't a good game. Based on the demo: The battle system lacks any skill to use The Yokai designs range from generic-Japanese to straight up creepy Using the gyroscopes to search for Yokai is the worst, heck, it's as bad as the Denpa Men. The city is boring The music is bland Heck, I'm still shocked it did so well in Japan.
@NintyFan I think what prevented that in 6th Gen was A) Just having Pokemon on the screen was hard enough on the engine and B) none of the minor characters had proportional versions of their bodies, just the overworld chibi version. Point A looks like it's no longer an issue, and every character is proportional now, so point B is no longer an issue either. There's a chance that double or triple battles might not have the trainer there just due to how much strain that might put on the 3DS.

Maybe bumping the max speed for hatching to maybe 15mph is reasonable. When you get to 20mph+ you start getting into vehicle range.
