Wow this Direct had 3 quite nice surprises for me. That's 3 more than I expected so I am very happy right now^^ even though I'll probably buy everything on PS xD

Funny how I find more games I like after 'the big showcase'. Might be a 'me' problem.

It's fascinating how people don't take the time to read a news article, but DO take the time to write uninformed comments about it.
Anyway, the game had some major problems on PC at it's very core. I have my doubts that this will be a fluid experience especially on Switch, but I'd be happy to be proven wrong if it comes out.

@Coolmusic I was just using One Piece to get my point across but yes, Conan fits the bill too and better. At least the mangaka of Conan is around 12 years OLDER so he would HAVE to finish sooner^^
Also while I'm sure this won't happen, it could also go into the final arc very abruptly. One Piece has a very big story with a lot of threads to tie up, while Conan could start the "final arc" right now and wrap it up in 20 episodes or less.

I don't mind necroposting in this case. Since we went kinda off-topic it's actually better people don't read this anymore xD

If he really wanted, he could always sidestep his pledge with an ultimate or definitive or GOTY Edition^^

Unfortunately this is just a drop in the bucket. Won't change much industry-wise, but still worth it at least for their employees. Can't be fun being harrassed or getting death threats constantly-.-'

There is a lot of room to keep churning them out. Prequels, spin-offs or focus on one of the many organisations within the franchise.
But restraint is also good. No fan would like to literally DIE before witnessing the end of their beloved story xD
I'm sure One Piece has some casualities in that regard^^

If you're making a WiiU again you also won't have component shortages xD

The plan was always to end it by the end of this year. This man's a machine. Working half a year into the future on his education channel and still busy with games and of course the guy also has hobbies and a private life. Kudos again to Sakurai^^

Depending on how much agency the second player has, this could really get me back into this game. Looking forward to the details^^

I don't vibe with the artstyle.

Getting the drift on one of my pro controllers hurt a little. But as a result I bought a pretty cool Zelda themed pro controller...Never really used joy-cons, so at least I skipped that debacle.

I do play way more on PS5 and I must say this is the first generation where I had to buy 3 more DualSenses because of stick drift. Funny how the price goes up and the quality down. But it's not a big deal in the grand scheme of things.

This game was way better than Advance Wars or anything it might have "copied", at least for me. But I'm digital only so this edition does nothing for me.

This is a never ending battle and frankly just boosts awareness and interest in emulation. The current Yuzu version will be readily available forever for everyone who really wants to find it. Also there are already quite viable alternatives which will surely get even better than Yuzu over time now that their biggest 'rival' is gone.

I already have every game on Switch that I want, but if I can't play them on the next Switch, I will back them up and emulate them of course to have a future proof and oftentimes better version than the original.

It always depends on the viewpoint and from what angle we decide what the best year is. In that sense the answer can differ quite a lot..

I like the artstyle, not a fan of the gameplay and premise

The most interesting part of this update for me are the added illustrations.

I'll take any excuse to bring Tales of Graces to modern platforms, even the death of a legendary designer in the industry. Really unfortunate though. Again it happened suddenly with no known illness beforehand. All the best to her sister! Stay strong!
