I just bought the game because of all the glitches I heard of. Think it will make the game more fun for me in a weird and stupid way. I even turned of the Updates to not have them autopatch it for me xD
Funny how my brain works. Initially I didn't even think about playing that game after the last dissapointing entries -.-'

This is just so they can more easily sell you remasters and collections of these old games for way more.

The way they handle it now does nothing for me. I'm not paying them money every month just to "borrow" their old games. There are better ways...

I was already pleasantly surprised by games like Ara Fell and Rise of the Third Power. This looks like another potentially great modern 2D JRPG^^

I got way too spoiled with most games being 60fps and beautiful on ps5 that I cant imagine ever playing something blurry like that anymore. Maybe I'll watch the cutscenes sometime...I enjoyed at least the story and flashy fight scenes of the first 2 games.

I got a bit burned out after the third entry, but I would look forward to a new entry.

@JoeyTS : That would actually be interesting for me. Especially since this game will probably be loaded with iconic cutscenes from all the different games to go along with some of the music. Thanks for bringing that up^^

I DO sometimes listen to FF tracks while playing something else, but I feel like this button pressing challenges would just distract me from enjoying the music..
Well, still glad it exists for people who enjoy that stuff and...i can't really demand for them to use their time to make more actual JRPGs since they seem to release 20 a month anyway xD

@Lowell Bell: This was an interesting article to read. Thanks for that. I tried getting into it with Splatoon 2, but these just aren't my kind of games and I was really curious how this franchise got so popular.

I'd rather have it be 2D but with snappy or no loading and 1080/60.

I never played a Fire Emblem game because of good graphics. But yeah..can't catch the eyes of the mainstream without some pretty looks apparently. No matter, I will play this day one for sure!

When there is an official announcement about a Switch successor I'll think about buying one, but why bother with that question now?

Nice review! I think every first entry of the franchise is a good starting point. Yes, there's some spoilers, but it won't really take away your enjoyment if you decide to go back and play the older entries.

Even though I don't agree I applaud him for sticking to his principles as opposed to simply chasing money like most other company heads.

Whatever. As long as they keep making good Dragon Quest Games and 2D JRPGs they can do whatever that want as far as I'm concerned.

Next time I go to McDonalds I'll try to order a "McEntire" xD

@NotSoCryptic: Only time can tell for certain but yeah, it is certainly going in that direction. Ubisoft was an innovative and consumerfriendly company once, but now most of their games make it so obvious they're just here to suck you out your money.
