Lasagne-lovin', Monday-hatin' orange cat Garfield has been confirmed as the latest edition to the Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl character roster.
Arriving as a free update for anybody who bought the game, Garfield joins the likes of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, SpongeBob, Patrick, Sandy, Nigel Thornberry, Ren & Stimpy and more. He was rumoured to be the next fighter from the Nickelodeon stable to join the fray, and the debut trailer above shows him getting stuck right in.
He'll be available in the platform fighter from 9th December on other platforms, although Switch players will have to wait until 'later this month' according to the YouTube video description.
We rather enjoyed our time with Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl, calling it "a solid platform fighter with an awful lot of hidden depth" in our review — a solid foundation that we're pleased to see is being added to post-release.

@iLikeUrAttitude, while he doesn't exactly scream Nickelodeon (since they only recently acquired the rights), as a character Garfield is older & more iconic than any of the ones you listed (Maybe Timmy comes close, but I think there's some licensing hurdles with him where Nick doesn't outright own him).

Good to see Nick is putting that Garfield acquisition to good use, and better to see the NASB team is fulfilling their promise of extra content! Having Garfield in a platform fighter in an official capacity is super cool/funny.

I'm waiting to pick this up on sale, but for a few bucks this could be a great time. I'm glad the people who argued "who would win on a fight" on the playground grew up to be game devs. We need answers to these age old questions!

Love Garfield, I like how they completely skipped Monday to announce his inclusion though I don't remember Garfield ever been on Nickelodeon.
They really need to add voice acting of some kind…seems like a good game just a lil hollow

Strange how well animated and stretchy cartoony Garf looks here, but then you look at Ren and Stimpy, the characters who's entire personality is being well animated and stretchy.... it looks like a gmod animation, nothing is right. Glad they got Garf down well though, hopefully sometime down the line Ren and Stimpy will be done justice

B: Nickelodeon now owns Paws Inc (Garfield's parent company) for a few years now.

Ok I am going to have to get this now. Big Garfield fan, and this game looked pretty fun in the first place. Will pick up a copy after Christmas!
