Re: Disco Elysium: The Final Cut Moves Closer To Switch Release With Age Rating

@Ralizah The PS5 version ran smoothly. It was just riddled with bugs. The performance itself was fine. There's no chance the Switch version will run as smoothly as the PS5 version did at launch. Unless the Switch version runs at native 4K 60fps. So yeah, no chance.

Regardless, the PS5 version was insanely busted. Literally unplayable at launch without pulling your hair out due to its bugs and UI problems.

Re: Best Metroid Games Of All Time

Prime Trilogy shouldn't have been included on this list. It's not its own game. It's a collection of three games that are already included in the same list. It's just silly to include it.

Re: Talking Point: Should We Be Worried About Screen Burn-In With Switch OLED?

My LG C8 OLED had severe screen burn from playing too much Smash Ultimate. Like really bad stuff. And that was with all of the TV's burn in prevention features in use. It also had some of the Switch home menu UI burned into it (like the eShop icon), and the Youtube logo from the Apple TV app.

It is most definitely a real problem with OLEDs. And it can happen easier than you think.

I've since replaced the TV with an LG CX OLED a couple months ago. No issues with that TV yet. But I expect it to happen eventually.

Re: Dark Fantasy Metroidvania Ender Lilies Launches On Switch Today

@60frames-please There are definitely areas that run mostly smooth. But some areas (like the forest with a lot of water and the wizard enemies) that are pretty rough. Sometimes I'm not even sure what's causing it, because I'll notice a stretch where the game was dropping a lot of frames, and then I'll run back and retrace my steps only for it to run fine. It might have something to do with it loading in assets as you scroll through an area. And since those assets are loaded, running back through it doesn't cause the same issue (until you leave the zone and re-enter it).
