What are the three most misplaced items in everyday life? You might be thinking keys, wallets, and the television remote, but you're forgetting the one thing we're always losing: Ladies! Every time we're about to leave the house, we can never remember where we last put our ladies. Are they down the back of the sofa? In the washing machine? If only there were some way we could keep track of our ladies!
Eastasiasoft, a company whose games include "Waifu Uncovered" and "Hentai vs. Evil", have just shown off their latest take on the "girls wearing uncomfortably tight underwear" genre: 20 Ladies, in which you complete simple platforming puzzles to gather up all of your lost ladies. Also, the ladies are naked! For some reason! Maybe all their trousers were shredded by the spinning spike traps that litter the levels. Poor ladies.
The trailer is age-restricted, because the ladies aren't wearing much, so we can't actually embed it here — but as long as you're an adult, you can check it out on YouTube.
But the best part of this game is yet to come, friends. We rarely dip our toes into the console wars, because we are A) adults, B) owners of multiple consoles, and C) friends with all the Pure Xbox and Push Square writers, but we can't help but find it quite amusing that Nintendo gets "ladies", while the PS4 and PS5 get... bunnies:
Yes, for PlayStaytion players, the scantily-clad lasses of 20 Ladies have been replaced with anthropomorphised, fully-clothed rabbit women, thanks to Sony's strict rules on sexual content. Check out the difference in the descriptions:
20 Ladies: "Beware of hazards! Break a heart three times, and you’ll instantly respawn at the beginning, with your lady counter reset to zero. You’ll need to touch them all without dying in order to proceed to the next stage and unlock an alluring image for each one you complete."
20 Bunnies: "Beware of hazards! Lose three hearts, and you’ll instantly respawn at the beginning, with your bunny counter reset to zero. You’ll need to find them all without dying in order to proceed to the next stage and unlock an adorable image for each one you complete."
Well, let's put a positive spin on this: Whether you're into unlocking lovely lady lumps or fluffy bunny tails, there's something for everyone. One thing's for certain: we'll never lose our ladies again.
20 Ladies comes to the Nintendo eShop on November 19th.

That thumbnail gets me 🤣 Two competently drawn furries versus two human women drawn by a middle schooler.
It's pretty a pretty weird decision, changing ladies to bunnies to protect the children (I guess), but when i see these designs, i think i prefer the bunnies...
Everyone knows it's morally correct to feel attracted to bunny women hybrids.
So Nintendo let there be skimpy women. Even though they are "family friendly". That doesn't make sense
These people who say "You can't do that, that's racist" , "You can't do that, that's sexist" , became just like those conservative christians that said "Violent videogames will turn children into murderers" and "Pokémon is the devil", and they despise sexuality just the same.
The difference is that now, fans are supposed to shut up and never complain, they aren't whiny for being offended about everything and trying to censor or ban everything, you're whiny for disliking censorship.
And what a world we live in, where Sony is censoring games more than Nintendo, the tables have turned.
@ShinyWitten The tables have turned, Nintendo is censoring games much less than Sony.
Probably because the PlayStation division is no longer japanese, they moved not only to USA, not only to California, but the Bay Area.
Both look awful, to be honest - be it the drawings or the dollar store Meat Boy gameplay. I don't think either group of players is missing out on much.
Bwahahaha! 🤣 🤣 🤣 Certainly a welcome change from the super-prudish Nintendo of 30 years ago.
Lol Sony. 🤣 🤣 🤣
I'd say Sony is getting the better deal. Remember Sally Acorn from Sonic SatAm and Lola Bunny on the first Space Jam?
~I'm a bunny girl,
In a bunny woooorld~
Meh, it's Friday, and Halloween is this weekend. It's a perfect recipe for randomness.
@victordamazio Those people still exist in droves. Blame all the violent games and movies, etc.. It's an easy, lazy scapegoat, not the actual underlying systemic issues. Fixing that requires GASP actual work and legislation. 😱
I find this to be hilarious. I mean, if you’re going to be that ridiculous, just keep it off your platform. Let people play the developers original vision or if that’s too much of a stretch for you, let someone else do it for you. This new age Puritanism is embarrassing. I have no plans on buying this game, but for those that do, let them have it.
@victordamazio https://www.google.com/amp/s/nypost.com/2000/04/21/pokemon-earns-papal-blessing/amp/
The "Pokemon is the devil" thing is so 2000 🤣
The bunnies have better artwork. Game itself looks horrible, so we know what the hook is. (Then again drawing the female form with any accuracy seems to be a level 99 art-skill now.)
@Tyranexx come on Bunny, let’s go party!
Welp time to listen to some Aqua. Thank you!
That being said Cartoon Heroes might have worked better.
i see this as an absolute win, they look remarkably better lol
I did not expect Super Meat Boy and Pornhub to have a baby.
...but if you think about it....i GUESS it makes sense. ...i guess.
I am by no means a furry, and hentai doesn't really do it for me, but I'd MUCH rather play the Bunny game over the one that looks like they submitted the artwork 2 weeks after checking out "How to Draw Manga" from the library
I guess this is some insight into the cringey world of whatever kind of games these are. This looks like a basic platformer but they barely bothered to make any sense of it with a bouncy pink square and a featureless foreground. The 'ladies' or 'bunnies' could literally be anything (coins, strawberries, whatever) but they made them poorly drawn and barely-dressed women, presumably to appeal to a certain audience of horny cringe monsters who've never heard of Google?
I'm guessing that if they had just kept with the pink block platformer, they wouldn't have gotten any attention and no one would have bought it.
So when they can't keep the women in the PS4 version, instead of dressed women, they go with dressed anthropomorphic bunnies? It's likely the same audience they're appealing to.
@Purgatorium the two benefits are 1) the lowest common denominator of sex appeal, as you mentioned and 2) non-controversy about either the sexual content being challenged (see: any review of a game like this on this site's comments) or situations like this, its hilarious how many play into it
When I was a kid, we collected coins & rings in our vidyagames.
This is some Christian mom 90’s snes censoring levels of crap oml
I cannot believe they’re still getting away with this in 2021
Game looks like garbage anyways
Come on, we all had hard to describe feelings for the Cadbury's Caramel bunny.
Sometimes I lose my lady when she sits in the big armchair at her work desk. All I see is chair. Those are sad times.
I'm greedy enough to wish we got both versions - those bunnies look adorable indeed. But yeah, it does seem like that one was designed exclusively for Sony consoles... as an exclusively addressed elbow nudge.😄
@Broosh Was thinking the same thing. The bunnies are well drawn. The ladies... not so.
But yes, this looks like another bad or passable game, that used porn pics to lure people into playing it, Steam is full of those games, and they decided to do this to bring even more attention to it.
While I dislike censorship, this time, yes, the censored version looks better, and for some people, does the original intention better.
But remember: No one cares about this shovelware game, but Sony's censorship affected a lot of games we care about.
@victordamazio not everyone in california sponsers censorship man and its not like the state is forcing them to do it either.
Wait for the PC version where it's a combination of both!!
The bunnies are somehow creepier.
I mean, is anyone surprised? We've all seen the art produced by the internet; why would it not become a video game? Or rather, 2 video games, both equally representative of what people like to draw.
I prefer the Bunnies.
Don't like artstyle of the face of the ladies. Will probably check it out anyway. Gotta support ecchi games
@ShinyWitten Nintendo isn't "family friendly". They provide a platform for games and let just about anything on the store. It's not their job to police third party games from a content perspective, only to make sure they work and function as advertised before posting them.
Even for Nintendo's own games, many aren't family friendly. They've made mature, dark, adult oriented games for many, many years. They just also happen to make games for all ages and children as well.
Your day of reckoning is upon you, get rekt sony ponies 🍌🍌🍌
A hundred thoughts went through my mind, some funny, others not so much. None that is worth posting here
You win this round Sony with your better art. hahaha.
@somebread People losing their minds about 'censorship' when really this is just hilarious.
An old friend of mine had a thing for the Cadburys Caramel Bunny... This will be right up his street. Weirdo.
I'm not uninterested in 20 bunnies.
Hope it gets a physical release like Waifu uncovered did.
Sony and Nintendo trading places
Lol. The e-shop is a wasteland.
All those furries are on PS4. 🤣 tbh the bunnies are drawn better.
If course it's a cheapo game dangling sex appeal like a pair of keys instead of actually doing something fun or interesting with it.
All with an underdeveloped artstyle to boot!
Just play an eroge instead. LibraHeart puts out some pretty good Search Action platformers in the vein of Simon's Quest and Symphony of the Night. Better use of your money.
@GrailUK ... wont admit to almost posting the same thing
This is such a strange turn around from the old days when Playstation was the more censor-relaxed system.
Weird times.
@Beermonkey Take it easy. Your friend's fine.
@Purgatorium While cases like this and Omega labyrinth life are funny due to how they promote said censorship, its understandable people don't like censorhip in general. Like if thry absolutely must censor a game, make it optional, give people the chance to play it uncensored if they wish.
@victordamazio The difference between liberals saying "this thing is sexist/racist" and conservative politicians going on TV and saying "video games cause violence" is that the liberals are trying to fight against sexism and racism, while the conservative politicians are trying to direct attention away from the much larger societal problems that cause violence in order to please gun lobbyists so they can secure their donations.
"Unlock a new image with each stage cleared!"
If only there were faster and cheaper ways of obtaining badly drawn pornography!
@Ryu_Niiyama Hah, perhaps! Glad I put Aqua on your brain today.
@Bret Both are blaming the wrong thing.
School shootings are also real, satanic rituals with human sacrifices are also real, the christians and conservatives could use the same motte and bailey to justify why crusading against violent and satanic games is valid.
Why is in the player character just a cube thing too? Has that also been censored? Was it formerly a phallus shape or something?!
Just weird because Sony allowed a sex scene in TLoU 2. I go by what I always say. Games aren't real, if you don't like the content don't buy it. But as long as rated appropriately, this censorship nonsense needs to stop. I'd rather Sony just not allow the game on its console in that case.
The fact that sony censored this but Nintendo was cool with it... what timeline did i just step into?!
@Gamer83 Sony has doublestandards against games with "anime" artstyles.
@Rosalinho I get your point, but remember that eventually, the excuse of "Go somewhere else" becomes invalid when used too much.
When anyone censors games but doesn't censor politics there is something wrong. This is about Bible thumping fanatics nothing is about the game itself. Nintendo needs to stay away from this. Those that can't or dislike this game DON'T BUY IT how hard is that? But obviously they want these types of boobs game but don't to admit that their Christian views are clouding their judgement of using the bible to pick everyone's views.
@GrailUK the what? Never heard of this (seriously). I am assuming it's a rabbit though? All the commercials I have seen just had an actual rabbit that made a weird clucking sound.
@SwitchForce Unfortunately, this is the current year, and bible thumping fanatics no longer have the power they used to have, this isn't about protecting the children, it's about feminists and progressives complaining about how porn and sexy characters are objectfying women, and even claiming how this will lead to rapes.
@Tobiaku
That's what people have been saying but it also originally censored DMC V, which I wouldn't say has an anime art style.
@MysticX Like I said above, no, Sony is doing this because many of Sony's employees are trying to protect women from objectification, proof of that is that blood and gore is OK for them, but sexuality isn't.
Didn’t Nintendo used to be crazy about M-rated games on their consoles? Looks like Nintendo declined to allow more M-rated games that have sexual content in them then Sony.😂 Edit: OH RIGHT I forgot they removed tawna from the crash bandicoot games because a girl on the Sony team hated how... mature she looked. And when they made Laura Croft and she became popular she just flat out quit!🤣🤣🤣
That subheading is brilliant. This has already been said, but the bunnies look like they're much better drawn than the ladies anyway so this game getting censored was probably a good thing at least in my opinion
Nintendo life please stop reporting on this nonsense. We all know you do it just to gin up reactionary nonsense responses about "censorship" meanwhile governments actually censor the information we get about their citizen suppression. That is censorship. This junk is marketing nonsense that companies do across all territories or platforms. Also ZERO people care about such a terrible looking nothing title. I wouldnt be surprised if this is ginned up by them just to sell anything of this God awful looking game. This isn't worth jack sh*t.
You just know that some modder is already hard at work making an adult version of the bunny girl version.
@Chocobo_Shepherd
Never go down the well of Sonic fan art.
I considered shooting myself with my .357 after I curiously took a look at what they were coming up with.
@Gamer83 Maybe its doublestandards against Japan and games with anime artstyle then.
@victordamazio I don't understand, what "excuse"? Go somewhere else? What does that mean?
@Tobiaku
Maybe. Ridiculous either way. Like I wrote before, and maybe I'm alone on this, but I'd rather just not see the game on a certain platform than the platform holder have it censored, especially to such a ridiculous extent.
@Kirby_Girl When our comics, cartoons and videogames were censored, we were allowed to complain about that, we didn't get those excuses of "There are more imporant things to worry about", and when censorship was not being done by government, but companies like Nintendo and 4Kids Entertainment, we were allowed to complain about that as well, we didn't care if censorship was done by companies or government, we fought against it regardless.
Plus, neopuritan censorship enforced by government is already happening, like Dragon Ball removed from television in Spain and Argentina for sexist content.
When things are that poorly drawn, it deserves to be censored. Don’t get your knickers in a twist; you weren’t gonna buy it, anyway.
@Greatluigi That was all pre-buyout NaughtyDog. It wasn't Sony calling for the removal. Just the artists and dev team in general talking about how awkward she looked as a realistic woman with a bandicoot's face.
As much as I disagree with that from a Looney Toon standpoint, it was easy to see where the sentiment was coming from.
Was browsing the ps store last night checking out what was new & saw a few games sakura nova & neptunia x senran kagura ninja wars check out the assets on the females in those games they haven't been censored 😂
The sad part is that the bunnies actually look better in this case. It's genuinely shocking just how poorly drawn those poor ladies are.
So to sony its ok to perve on a rabbit but not a woman
🤔
Off to the pet shop I go.......
I blame the movie Space Jam. They just had to make Lola Bunny sexy didn't they? Well look where we are now.
@Kirby_Girl
This is censorship, that's a fact. You can not be bothered by it, you can agree with it, doesn't change what it is. And if you don't like these kinds of articles... Ignore them like you can ignore any game with content you don't like? Too hard a concept for many these days, it seems.
@Would_you_kindly I know the Sakura VNs are censored on console. They're normally eroge.
As for Neptunia Ninja Wars, there were rumblings going around that it was censored during production. Nothing confirmed, but all concerning.
@Would_you_kindly Sakura Nova is censored.
Neptunia X Senran Kagura was likely made with Sonys censorship policies in mind.
@SamirMalik Sakura Nova is also a bit more censored on Playstation than Switch.
@Tobiaku Nah, you misunderstand me. I'm not saying it's funny because it promotes the game. I'm saying it's funny because of how extreme some people have gone complaining about this.
@Rosalinho The excuse of "There's porn elsewhere" becomes less and less valid the more porn is removed.
Especially since while porn is easy to find, there are people who want the advantages that some websites have like getting a following.
@SamirMalik oh.
Maybe this is a special kink that PS players prefer? Only kidding! I actually swing both ways (I mean Nintendo and Sony NOT ladies and bunnies)
@Ryu_Niiyama It was a chocolate advert featuring a seductive rabbit enticing folk to slow down and enjoy her chocolate.
Anyway...
The bunny girls look better. No doubt there. The other artwork looks like a 15-year old drew.
While no one cared for this game in specific until that happened, and most people still won't play, Sony's censorship policies are going after games we care about, like Devil May Cry V.
@Gamer83 this isn't censorship lol government has ***** to do with this. It's nonsense folks like you are trying to make into a crusade
@victordamazio it's nonsense plain and simple. Reactionary nonsense
@victordamazio Was this game even announced before the censorship was mentioned? They mentioned both version in the video I saw the first time I heard about this game.
I don't know what's funnier: The fact that Playstation owners get the clearly superior version, or the STRONG possibility that these devs might find success and double down on the furry content.
@Kirby_Girl isn't censorship the act of using underhanded tactics to cover up or change something?
I mean, I hate this thing without having to play it but you can't deny that this is what censorship is from an artistic point of view. Goverment or company, the end result is the same.
@SwitchForce your imagination is enviable.
When my boring mind read this article, all I gathered was the Switch Version features crude drawings of nude women, while the PS version features crude drawings of bunnies.
I appreciate you revealing the ACTUAL core elements of this decision: Christianity, the Bible, and Tyranny.
Brilliant.
Sony is becoming weird. I find it annoying that I cannot use insults to post videos/pics on anything using the ps5. It even catches some words that are meant to hide insults. I stopped sharing anything on their platform for that (even when I wanted to say something like "this game is F****** amazing" it stops you from sharing). I dont understand what kind of vibes they are trying to give here
Yeah... I'm... I'm good...
@Tobiaku Plus, porn and sexuality censored by christians to protect the children and their family values, or censored by feminists to protect women from being objectified, the end result is the same.
@Tobiaku I dunno haven't played them I just saw the screenshots & thought damn those are some big anime boobs 😂
@victordamazio Why would this have anything to do with it?
@GrailUK
Oh good God yes!
Even now. 😆
So Sony wants the furry audience now? Lol
@victordamazio We seem to be talking about two different things. I was just having a laugh at the expense of a game whose main selling point seems to be something you can get free on Google Image Search. I wasn't attempting serious social commentary.
@Fulgor_Astral this is what happens when a company goes to deep into the needless censorship bs
This article is about as much press as this game will ever get. It is interesting how 99% of the games aesthetic has nothing to do with the Junior High art..... A master stroke in marketing.... I am amazed that I am even taking the time to talk about this otherwise forgettable shovelware.
@Kirby_Girl I 90% agree with you, the main disagreement is I really don't think Nintendo Life did this to drum up the hyper-reactionaries, I think they did it because from most angles this is hilarious and joyful, and NL can't help it if commentors try to ruin that. Regardless of the dictionary definition of censorship, it is a curious human condition to overgeneralize and put something this silly side by side with censorship made with completely different reasoning and motivations that actually harms people. Anyway I appreciate your responses, I just choose to use this opportunity to flex my "ignore button" muscles, life's too short to let a comment thread make me angry, no opinions will be changed here. The one thing to keep in mind is just because a lot of comments say one thing doesn't mean the majority of the folks reading the article think that. All the politics and consternation sweepingly aside, this is quite funny and I'm thrilled there are two versions, which I of course would never touch with a 10-foot pole.
I don't need this game.
I already have my own six pack chibi dudes and six pack anthro animals from my drawings. 😏
@SamirMalik I would argue that who's doing the censoring, and how, makes a world of difference.
A private company saying "We'd rather not host this..." sucks artistically, but it's their console/platform. So long as it's not the bad kind of discrimination or burying of information, they can make that call, no matter how arbitrary we feel about it.
A government body saying "You can't say this or you'll be fined/arrested!" is a different kind of censorship that can be inherently problematic, but also has a whole realm of nuance to talk about, depending on country and politics.
Personally, I wish people (in a general sense) could temper their reactions to the various kinds of censorship. And I say this as an artist myself.
@Kirby_Girl 100%. Nonsense article to get people riled up about extremely low-tier censorship. Nobody that reads and comments on this article is even going to buy the darned thing. They just need something to complain about.
@victordamazio You can all thank SJW's for that, they essentially have the influence that the conservative Christians wish they had. And people still dunk on those conservatives like they're that relevant as if this is still 2004 and they're still complaining about violence. Now there can be as much violence and gore possible in a game but if you say something deemed problematic or show some pretty women, then that's no good according to everyone.
@BloodNinja Low-tier censorship, when unchecked, becomes high-tier censorship.
No one cares about this shovelware game, but Sony's censorship goes way beyond this, and the world is not USA, other countries are having similar censorship enforced by the government.
@victordamazio "Low-tier censorship, when unchecked, becomes high-tier censorship."
So you think Sony is going to somehow start censoring pertinent information? I hope you realize that means they would have to actually have access to and control said information...You know they only deal with video games, right? How is Sony's censorship of cheap hentai going to bleed into other things?
What's with the weird "world is not USA," nonsense you threw in there?? LOL
Removed - flaming/arguing
What a great loss.
@GrailUK hmm I wonder if that was a UK only thing? The cadbury commercials I have seen were just rabbits that clucked. Did make me want a bunny for a pet though.
They both look good!! Kudos to the devs for trolling Sony's draconian policies the right way 😂
@Ryu_Niiyama Yep, as far as I know, the American commercials have the real rabbit clucking while the UK had the seductive bunny.
Only reason I know this is because of Nostalgia Critic's 2019 commercials special.
@HammerGalladeBro wow some crazy times in the UK. And I thought the chicken rabbit we got was weird.
@Goofus came here to say the same. The eShop is nothing more than a cesspool of garbage titles. It might be more tolerable to scroll through it to find a rare diamond in the rough - if only the interface didn’t stutter/hang as much as it does.
@BloodNinja USA has the First Amendment, where freedom of speech is almost absolute, even the nazis have the right of freedom of speech there, but that right only applies to government, people can kick you out for having harmless opinions that most people agree, no one has to give you a voice.
However, other countries are not like this, and had many formal bans imposed by government, many movies, shows and videogames were banned or censored by force in other countries, and while in the past, these bans were made to please conservative christians, now, these bans are being done to please feminists and progressives.
Why is the art style of the bunnies so much better lol
This timeline I swear, I am more confused every day
@victordamazio Ok, that's COMPLETELY unrelated to the article about Sony LMFAO
@inenai I am just as confused as you. This is one of the most weirdest games on the planet, and I don't even know why there's an article about this.
Bunnies! Now that is embarrassing
Bunnies on weekdays. Ladies on weekends. I’m a man of class, after all.
People keep forgetting that Manhunt 2 was on the Wii of all consoles, and it would have been uncensored too if it wasn’t for that meddling BBFC (which banned it at least twice before approving a censored version).
The Wii Shop’s Sexy Poker was originally going to contain bare breasts, but Australia banned it due to the absence of an R18+ rating for games, because incentivised nudity is apparently unsuitable for under 18s, but bare non-cartoon breasts in movies/TV was A-OK with a mere PG rating for the most part. Thanks to the Aussie banning, Sexy Poker was censored internationally. An uncensored version was originally approved with a 15 certificate in the UK, while both the censored and uncensored versions of the game were rated M by the ESRB.
There’s also an upcoming game (complete with European physical release) called Perky Little Things that contains shockingly explicit content and would most likely be rated AO if rated in the States, so I assume that this will remain exclusive to Europe and Australia as a result of 18+ games not being as stigmatised in those territories.
@victordamazio Please explain how calling out racism for being racism is "blaming the wrong thing".
The changes in the text are great. "No. You don't TOUCH bunnies. You FIND them. Have some respect for bunnies!"
Not that this matters, but people seem to confuse 1st amendment protections and censorship. The first amendment only guarantees its protections from government entities. Private citizens and companies are not required to follow this amendment in how they conduct business. It’s more complicated and I’m not using enough words to describe this, but I’m on my phone so there.
Censorship does not only occur on a governmental level. I can censor my playboys at home, if I wish. Censorship can be good or bad, and usually that distinction is in the eye of the beholder.
@anzzjam The problem is:
🤣🤣🤣🤣 What are they smoking at Sony HQ? Will Sony force Squeenix to make Aerith and Tifa walruses in Final Fantasy VII Remake Part II?
Based on the art alone...I think I'd rather look at the bunnies.
Lol Sony has some hypocritical and weird policies on censorship.
Anyone else see Anna from Frozen when they look at the bunny on the left I know that's who I see 👀
@Bret Because good intentions can easily go too far.
The bar for what counts as racist, sexist or bigoted keeps getting lowered more and more, we are getting a purity test that is harder and harder to pass every year, it is getting to a point where even the people who make the test can't pass it.
The world became a box that keeps getting smaller and smaller and less and less people are allowed to fit inside, only when you fall out of the box that things are going too far.
@victordamazio Uh huh. Deep stuff. Religion bad but no longer the enemy. Progressives are the new bad. Yawn. You must be a libertarian. And male. Though I repeat myself.
@UntamedRose But then, why complaining about the same kind of censorship was acceptable when it was done by the conservatives and christians who wanted to protect children and their family values? Why fighting against censorship back then, meant you are a hero, but now, fighting against censorship means you are a creep?
@HedgehogEngine
I didn't say to agree with me but droning on about content in games isn't going to stop Eastasia from making what it wants, it's a niche company with a small but big enough audience to make these types of games regardless of the whining about them. As far as articles on website, the more clicks they get, the more of that type you'll see. You can read it and comment, as soon as it gets that click, it's a W for the outlet publishing it.
@victordamazio Just because someone else is wrong, as I agree that the person you just replied to is off their rocker, that doesn’t mean that you are correct. Society has a line, and that line is manipulated by all sorts of consortiums.
If this happened today:
"It's not censorship because this was done by private companies, not the government."
"LOL, you're such a whiny snowflake for complaining about this."
"The world has so many problems, and you worry about a cartoon not having blood and tits anymore."
"If you want to see hot women, go watch porn."
"You claim that the people who done this are whiny and offended by everything, but here you are, offended by this."
"We have free speech, meaning that these people are free to censor their own things."
"The story is still intact, just because they changed a few things, it doesn't mean the whole story is ruined."
"Changing a rice ball into a cookie means anything, the context of the story is still the same."
"There are cultural differences, some things that work in other countries won't work here."
"You can still watch the original, let this exist for another audience that is not you."
Good times when this could be called what it actually is: Censorship.
@victordamazio It’s censorship. In One Piece. And in this boobs game. It’s censorship, as censorship can occur at the private or public level. Is that your point? Of course not. Your point is to point our hypocrisy, which is usually done by people with a bone to pick with something entirely unrelated.
Sony are very weird as of recent. They've obviously after the 18-34 YO demographic for a long time.
But such harsh standards on sexual content and they're going to send bits of their demographic elsewhere bit by bit.
I don't really see why they've got a problem with boobs, whether it's in a crappy, sleazy game like this, or something of actual higher quality.
Isn't the whole point of a rating system to make sure that games are only played by people it's suitable for? You don't need the the console manufacturer to be a guardian angel censoring things, outside of extreme circumstances like illegal content.
stares in Furry
Oh Sony…
@Silly_G Thanks for mentioning Perky little things! I need to look into getting that game.
@HedgehogEngine Just because you don't care about censorship in games does not mean others don't. I care a great deal about censorship in games I consider buying and these types of articles are great to inform me about games I might not otherwise have known about or known were censored.
Something tells me the bunnies will have more suggestive art online.
@HedgehogEngine Sorry for midunderstanding you. You did say you perfectly agree with another user who said zero people has interest in this game and wishing Nintendolife reporting on this as she calls it nonsens.
So I misunderstood and took agreeing with that as you not caring about the censorship.
B-Bunnies!? Makes it even better!
Sony’s policy bug me at times but… this game just looks awful regardless of what version this is.
@shonenjump86 If they replaced the boobs with bunnies with big boobs, it would be fantastic.
What's weird is that if you take out both Ladies and Bunnies, its just run & whatever clone (makes me think of Kung Fu Rabbit).
Regardless....games by this developer are always trash shovelwear. At best.
Well as a NSFW artist and consumer of ecchi anime, who dabbles in both Anthro and human adults, i think i can safely say that both games look like *****. I honestly could find someone online to just redesign the ladies merged with the bunny counterparts, and it would look 10 times better than either artwork in the games.
Wow... thats some hideous art, the human ones are even way worse than the rabbits.
I love Sony but i just dont get the censorship thing. They had sex scene in God of War, you can rip of the heads of people but this was somehow wrong?
@earthinheritor Well, I think there is a difference between a game that has sexual themes and games that sex is the central theme. I don’t care, mind you, but there would be a difference. Also, many cultures deem sex as more abhorrent than violence. Not that I agree, but it’s not a mystery. Inconsistent in way, but pretty standard that it’s the sex and curse words that get things mature ratings. I could make a game where you are a spaceman who crashes on a planet filled with creatures you command. They are killed while you kill things. I think I’m going to call it Pikeman. Yep. Pikeman.
@CodyMKW Lol I thought I was the only one who saw Anna 😝
The opening of this article sounds like the contrived set up for a stuck in porno 😂
Hmm.., knowing the internet these days, I imagine for some the anthro bunnies will be more attractive…
Sony is actually ran by furries confirmed?
Sony version is gonna attract a very different demographic 😬😬😬
PlayStation fans prefer mature games with adult narratives instead of Nintendo's kids games.
Fluffy bunnies and Ellie's Torture Porn Adventure. Contains no Bareneked Ladies.
@ShinyWitten games for dad? 🤔🤷🏻♂️
Aw man guys, girls are to sexy for me, so I might as well get attracted to bunnies!
What is this comment section
Who is the kids console now?
Based Nintendo.
@Tsuchinoko And FNAF is the state of plays most watched trailer.... You may be into something...
@NEStalgia
"PlayStation fans prefer mature games with adult narratives instead of Nintendo's kids games."
Not every PlayStation gamers play mature games.
I am also a PlayStation gamer but adore kiddie / cartoonish games for kids.
An Ad taking up the whole page and covering several comments!
Ridiculous
I'm not bothered as this example is insignificant anyway. Even in any debate.
Gonna give it to you straight:
Just cancel this game. It's not worth the code its written in or the asset editor that art was done in. Why does this thing even exist. If sony wants to waste time and resources censoring a trash fire no one will ever play on their platform. Then releasing their games on PC is the least of their problems.
Nintendo's biggest issues is that their carefully curated platform; now has this eye sore of a wannabe super meat ball clone taking up space on their digital store front; for the 15 minutes after its first uploaded before disappearing into oblivion where no one will ever see it again.
Comedy of Game Development/Publishing Errors. You can't write this stuff, reality is stupider than fiction.
@Lyricana yet there are many examples in history where Nintendo had the most censored versions of the games.
All kind of pointless when the kids are playing Call of Duty followed by browsing porn on the Internet. At least they can't see badly drawn naked cartoon characters on PlayStation though.
20 extremely badly drawn ladies.
@HammerGalladeBro And the Cadbury Caramel Bunny, my brother was obsessed with her when he was younger.
Can't believe people are buying this garbage.
@PessitheMystic That's my question. The only question worth asking here, really. Why a cube?? What's the significance? Or is it just easier to make a cube in what amounts to a flash videogame? I don't think Eastasiasoft will ever answer.
@DaniPooo I'm not really sure what your point is. Nintendo, as well as most game companies, did think it was their job to censor stuff decades ago, because there was nothing that existed to do so and rate games. The perception of what was adequate in media censorship on a national scale was also quite different. But the ESRB was formed, the landscape for censorship changed.. and for years now, Nintendo has stayed mostly away from censoring their own games and they rarely, if ever, interfere in the games of other companies.
Instead of bunny girls, they should have gone for actual bunnies 🐇
Thing is, you just know that a very specific group of people is getting way more arousal and pleasure from 20 Bunnies, than what most typical people will get out of 20 Ladies
Pathetic pathetic pathetic
Smart move on Sony's part.
@Anti-Matter I was being sarcastic
There's a bunch of PS people that always go on about how people want mature games with deep stories (I'd argue their precious tlou2 it's neither, it's adolescent fiction at best), and knock "platformers and Zelda"...
And this game....... It's the proof of their claim . PLAYSTATION EXCLUSIVE!!
It's sad how they had to draw bunnies for the playstation version because of censorship, and the bunnies look like a million times better... WTF.
@victordamazio couldn't of said it better myself
Stuff like this makes me embarrassed to be a Playstation owner
And before someone chimes in with "imagine being upset at bunny girls" , you can take your gaslighting retort and shove it.
There's always an excuse.
By the time we got to the 90s, it was pretty much no holds barred. You were allowed to make any kind of game.
The lame ass censorship the government tried putting in place was pretty much toppled. We had won
And now we're moving backwards all because people are now easily offended by absolutely everything and it continues to attempt to destroy the freedom of expression that was earned over the years.
We can't let garbage like this pass. Whenever something gets altered or censored (especially as a result from a Twitter outrage mob), think to yourself "do I really need to buy this game? Do I really want to give my money to a developer who'd rather bend the knee to SJWs than to stay true to their own vision?"
@damien33ad stay mad
@Enigk they aren't doing it only for the kids. They're doing it so that they don't get bad press from the mushy fragile cry babies on Twitter whenever there's a single bit of female showing skin in a game
@earthinheritor yea, they don't actually care about six and violence. They care about things that will get Twitter riled up.
That's why anime booba bad, sex scene in last of us 2 good
@UntamedRose and that right there is the ultimate gas lighting rebuttal.
There's always an excuse.
If everyone starts turning a blind eye at the small stuff like this, it keeps going and gets worse
And yea some of us do enjoy playing degenerate games because we know they're just games.
You can hate it, you can be disgusted, but at the end of the day , no one should be allowed to stop anyone from playing absolutely anything they want
You people have started to sound exactly like the moms in the 80s and 90s who thought games were a gateway to witchcraft
But now you replace the word "witchcraft " with "sexist" , "racist" and the phrase "imagine enjoying something like this"
A lot of us don't care if one terrible game like the one in this article gets censored, but the censorship has been happening for years and it just keeps happening more and more.
We've put our foots down
Both versions seem fine, although I think I like Sony's better. I don't mind censorship when it's about protecting marginalised communities from hatred and bigotry but that isn't what this is. The censorship in this game seems a bit unnecessary, but it does keep the game in line with Sony's policies which is fair enough in my opinion. I just wish this comment section wasn't so toxic 😔
Sony: censors this
Also Sony: allows Senran Kagura
... Make it make sense.
@victordamazio i love the ignorance of subject of censorship. Look up tipper gore, it was democrats who actually wanted censorship, they just say otherwise to certain segments of people (like Hilary Clinton w the hot sauce in her purse). They think what u say is more important that what u do. It wasn't only conservative Christians pushing for censorship.
Why can we have both??? I actually prefer the bunnies =
@ShinyWitten the switch is the perfect platform for porn games after all. The hd rumble and motion controls add to the realism and the portability makes it so you can jack off on the go.
@ZeeManCan Mmmm...yeah, you sound like a cry baby incel. Most of the "outrage mob" you talk about are mad usually for good reasons, but if you can't have your boobs you guys get mad. You either didn't grow up during the '90s or are too young to remember. The censorship is almost non-existent today and the government rarely if ever steps in. That was the issue back then was the government forcing companies to censor games which almost doesn't happen anymore. The fact that games like Mortal Kombat 11 and hardcore porn on Steam are even allowed today would explode the minds of parents 20 years ago. So you can get mad about some crappy 2D platformer hitting an algorithm or go fap to Senran Kagura freely in which you never would have seen the light of day 20 years ago.
Yeah...you're reading way too much into it and taking it way too seriously. Christ.
Classic Sony
I love the irony of how the PS4 version ends their trailer with "Play has no limits."
@ivory_soul Steam are a bit hypocritical when it comes to what they allow or not. They allow some porn content sure, but for eroge you often need offsite patches to actually get the H content. And they banned Evenicle 2. (There are other examples too but Evenicle 2 is the first one that came to mind)
Censorship might not be "as bad" but it certainly still exists. Maybe not the goverment-kind, but censorship in general is still here. Only now it has started to affect Japan more too.
@ZeeManCan is right on the mark
@pariah164 Sony has started to censor stuff like Senran Kagura too, sadly. English version Burst:Renewal is missing the intimacy mode. Newer games are sadly made to meet Sony's godawfull policies instead of droping Sony for Nintendo and Steam.
Kandagawa Jet girls is practically begging for the cloth breaking its anime has and a intimacy mode :/
Plot twist: The game ALWAYS featured hybrid humanoid bunnies and humans was the censorship.
The company that made the uncensored version is freaking garbage. They are only popular because they make pr0n games.
How could they censor the greatest game of Our Generation.
This is definitely not the hill I'll be dying on but that said I have really lost a lot of respect for Sony over the last few years.
They're sudden and jarring and frankly over the top shift in policies is really pretty terrible. I'm so heavily invested in the ecosystem after all these years that it's really difficult for me to just pull the plug. This is clearly a garbage game though I have to say that much. Just pure lowest common denominator garbage. It's not a defense for Sony's censorship or their policies or anything else they do. But this would not be the product I would be coming to the defensive of. There are far too many good games getting treated like crap by Sony and their new policies.
Frankly this is hilarious compared to the other stuff they've done. Something I would avoid anyway so making it worse (or better maybe) for the PS4 versus the switch really means nothing to me.
This game looks like something that somebody would present as their final project for a university coding degree.
Have to go with the Bunnies here if we're going with the artwork shown in the image.
At least looks 10x better than the other image.
Edit: saw the Switch Trailer. Ugliest artwork for the Female "Women" I've ever seen. Quick, WHERE'S THE BLEACH!!!??
@MysticX More than protecting the kiddos, i think they did it as a joke to make fun of Sony lol
On one hand, this is the strangest thing I've ever seen Sony censor.
On the other, the rabbits look more well drawn though still a bit off.
@victordamazio the sad part is there are people out there who think if it's in a game or in media it's ok to do it themselves even when it's not. It's a small subset of people, but they sadly exist.
Suprised people still make these kinds of things when they could make something more interesting with their time shrugs guess some have to get their jollies off whenever they see something on a screen i guess....That's when they need help.
@Ryu_Niiyama Accuracy is not important for Japanese style illustrations, quality is though, and these drawings are so low quality as to be embarrassing. A Japanese fourth-grader could produce better artwork.
@ThatGirlFinley So, you wish the comment section was censored? What if I don't like your stance? Can I wish for the censorship of your comment?
P.S. people disagreeing with censorship =/= toxicity.
@Purgatorium The game is indeed awful, but if this is not censorship what is it then?
@NovaPrime I don't care what it is. Look at it. This is absurd.
@Broosh
Exactly what I was thinking. ^^
The article talks about cencorship, but I'd personally much rather look at the rabbits than the weird squiggly ladies.
@Ryu_Niiyama Only the Japanese know how to do it. Then again, I find anime girls legitimately more attractive than human females so I maybe bias, lol
@JustMonika um, ok. You do you, I guess?
Somehow, the bunnies seem worse....
What's funny is if this were flipped Nintendo would be branded 'teh kiddie'. Sony is teh kiddie. Sony is watching out for teh children. Whoa, that feels weird to say.
I don't give a ***** about rated X games.
Interesting...
No one gives a *****!
Trying to capture that Space Jam market still angry about the bunny getting nerfed?
