Retailers, eh? Can't live with 'em, can't live without 'em - well, at least not until the inevitable all-digital future. For the moment Nintendo and every other video game company has to maintain good relationships with retailers, keeping them sweet and providing them with advance info on upcoming games. Gotta get those product pages up during the Directs!

According to Japanese Nintendo, it seems that Amazon Japan may have jumped the gun this time, publishing a now-deleted listing for The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening on Switch with a previously unknown release date. Again, this date is not confirmed, so take it with a pinch or two of salt. If you don't want to see the date below (but still clicked the article link and ignored the warning at the start!?), this is your last chance to click away. If you can't wait, scroll down past Wario for the potential date...

The date on the listing was 20th September 2019. Consulting our calendars, that's a Friday. Again, this is from a now-deleted Amazon Japan listing, so don't take it as gospel just yet. If it does turn out to be true, though, that's earlier than you might have been expecting, although Nintendo could be keen to get the game out as soon as possible - with all the other games on Switch, not to mention the huge releases on other consoles, no one wants to clog the holiday season with too many must-have games.

Do you think this date is plausible? Will you be picking up this remake? Let us know below.
