Re: Golf With Your Friends Brings Multiplayer Mini-Golf To Switch Next Month

Kang81

I’m always up for a good mini-golf game, hopefully it turns out to be a good one.

While I know it’s an Xbox exclusive, I would still love to see Powerstar Golf on Switch. It was a great golf game and I’m bummed Microsoft never did anything else with it this entire generation.

EDIT:

Dang! I just googled the developer of Powerstar Golf, it turns out they went defunct in 2017. 😞

Re: Burnout Paradise Remastered Could Be Speeding Onto The Switch This June

Kang81

$50?!?

Hahahahahahahaha...NOPE!

I absolutely love Burnout Paradise, and I’ve wanted this game on Switch since the console launched, but that’s an absurd price for a game that’s barely remastered. I bought it for under $20 on PS4, and any visual improvements are barely noticeable.

Of course, if people don’t buy it then EA will say...”see, we told you gamers didn’t want our back catalog on Switch!” 🤦‍♂️😡

Re: The Outer Worlds Gets A New Switch Release Date And A Day-One Patch

Kang81

@mike_intv

Yeah, I’m ok with that as well. I have a 3+ GB download for the Witcher 3 on Switch, so for an update I’m ok with it.

I’m not ok with publishers putting the majority of a physical edition copy as a digital download though. At this point, if the entire game isn’t going to be on the cart, minus the standard day 1 patch, then don’t even release a physical copy.

Re: Port Specialist Virtuos Ready To Help Bring Next-Gen PlayStation And Xbox Titles To Nintendo Switch

Kang81

While commendable of Virtuos, I don’t think it’ll be possible. Maybe at first, but it won’t be long into the next generation where the downgrades Switch ports will be too much of a downgrade for many.

Hopefully Nintendo is working on a Switch 2. Is love to see two sky’s as well, similar to the XB1 and XB1X. I know it won’t happen, but I’m pretty sure lots of people would pay extra for the higher tiered model.

Re: Super Mario 35th Anniversary Rumours Intensify

Kang81

I’d love a port of Paper Mario: TTYD since I stupidly traded it in when I was younger. It’s absurdly priced now.

I still wish Nintendo saved AlphaDream by buying the studio, because I adored all the Mario & Luigi RPG’s they made and want more of them.

Re: Rumour: Sony Could Be Raiding Konami For Castlevania, Metal Gear And Silent Hill IP

Kang81

Sony can have all of Konami’s IP’s, but I’d rather see Castlevania go to Nintendo. At least in its classic Metroidvania style.

The only way I’d prefer Sony to take the reins is if they didn’t make the series a PlayStation exclusive.

Plus, I feel as though Sony would be able to iterate on the excellent Castlevania: Lords of Shadow (1st game).

Ooh, I can just imagine a Sony Santa Monica (God of War) developed Castlevania. 😍

Re: Nintendo Announces Indie World Showcase For Tomorrow

Kang81

A new SteamWorld game from Image & Form please!!

While I would love the Ori sequel on Switch, I’m not holding my breath. One day maybe, but highly doubtful this close to launch. Besides, I heard it ran poorly on the base XB1 and XBSAD. Yes, Ori supposedly was being fixed by a day one patch, but that’s not exactly looking good for a Switch port this soon, if at all.

There are a lot of Metroidvania games I see in the works, I’d love to see them on Switch. I can never get enough of a good Metroidvania game.

I’d love announcements on the following, in no particular order.

Forgone
Flynn Son of the Crimson
Inmost
Minoria
Rune Fencer Illyia
Shantae

Re: We're Getting Serious Captain Toad Vibes From New Switch Puzzler Mekorama

Kang81

@BlubberWhale

I’d be willing to give it a try, but at $60 I feel I wouldn’t stick with it. Maybe when it becomes a Nintendo Select priced game I’ll bite.

I’ve bought a bunch of games with level creators before, like the old FarCry games, Little Big Planet, Mod Nation Racers, and a bunch of the Trials games. It all comes down to how good the community is, and it was always hit or miss on those.

I will say that Mario Maker looks far simpler to create good levels in comparison to the ones I’ve mentioned. I’m not one to make levels myself, I just look for levels made by others.

I get why people love these types of games, but they’re usually something I play for a bit and never go back to.

Re: Feature: Best Castlevania Games On Nintendo Consoles

Kang81

@HobbitGamer

I dabbled in the NES games, but I wasn’t a kid who played games in the 80’s, I was always outside. My first real go at the series was the N64 Castlevania, while I enjoyed it, I know it’s pretty much universally hated.

I was fully sucked in with the GBA Castlevania games.

All that said, the first LoS is my favorite in the series. The story was epic, and heart wrenching. Gabriel got screwed over so bad, and I felt bad for him. I thought LoS Mirror of Fate was ok, but not as good as the GBA games. I never did finish, or barely start LoS 2. It was just added to Xbox Games with Gold so I’ll give it a go now since it means I don’t have to dig out my PS3 for my original copy.

Re: Feature: Best Castlevania Games On Nintendo Consoles

Kang81

I second an Igavania collection on Switch, I want all the GBA games ported ASAP.

I’d also love to see Lords of Shadow ported to Switch, I loved every minute of the game, haters be damned. I’d even take the sequel and 3DS game, although I agree those two had issues.

Re: Video: Fast-Paced 3D Platformer Cyber Hook Gets A New Action-Packed Trailer

Kang81

@The_Pixel_King

Was it available on Android? For some reason I recall it as being only on iOS. Sadly I don’t think I can play it anymore either. My current iPhone and iPad will no longer play it. I may have an older iPhone that will run it though.

Back when it released on mobile I was rooting for a Vita port. It’d be awesome to see it on Switch. I can’t see it being that costly to port, maybe even add a bunch of new content?

Re: Video: Fast-Paced 3D Platformer Cyber Hook Gets A New Action-Packed Trailer

Kang81

This looks right up my alley, and I love the 80’s aesthetic and music.

I’m just trying to figure out if the counter in the bottom left is a timer or speedometer. I’m going to go with a timer since games like this usual have a race against the clock mechanic. Time limits is something I generally despise in games and real life, but I sometimes make the rare exception for a game if the character movement is fun.

Since I highly doubt I’ll ever get a Mirrors Edge game on Switch, even the excellent mobile game, this may have to do.
