Perhaps the most adorable of all the games highlighted in today's Indie World Showcase was The Last Campfire, a new game from the developer behind No Man's Sky.
The Last Campfire is set to have players heading out on a journey through a beautiful wilderness filled with lost folk, strange creatures, and mysterious ruins. Your goal is to light the last campfire, and you can expect to experience "a truly moving tale of magic and mystery" along the way.
We have a feature list for you, taken from the upcoming Steam version of the game:

Would've preferred Joe Danger, but I'll take what I can get.
This looks good.
Does it have multiplayer?
''Yes.''
At the very least, it looks really good. Hopefully it plays really good too.
After how they turned No Man's Sky around with all their persistence, passion and amibition, I'm curious to see any new game from Hello Games!
Good to see Hello Games finally move on from No Mans Sky after spending 3 years to save it from a disastrous launch.
This new game looks pretty good.
@Balladeer NMS seems to be MUCH better these days. It was definitely a victim of its own hype but Hello Games really did put their heads down and busted their butts to turn it around.
Last Campfire seems much more confined and less prone to feature creep. I think it's fair to be a little more optimistic here.
This was about the only one to catch my attention fully. Lovely art style and the sweet melancholy music didn’t hurt either
Looks very promising
Wow great...what not No Man’s Sky ?.. Why not No Man’s Sky’ ? Last year Hello Games wanted to port it to The N.S..I don’t care about Campfire whatever.. as if theSwitch hasn’t enough of thises type of games..
This looks pretty good, imo.
I also saw Hello Games and thought please let it be Joe Danger.
Looks a lot like Elli.
And Elli lost my interest because it felt empty somehow.
The controls were good, but the characters, story and world just.. wasn’t.
But I’ll keep this title in mind and watch some reviews first.
@Cromwell Hello Games says a lot of things. Not necessarily true ones...
Looks promising.
Looks way better than No Man’s Sky ever did.
No Man’s Sky developer Hello Games is bringing...aww man...
I got surprised for a second thinking NMS was Switchbound. I don’t know how it would run or if it could, but I guess it doesn’t matter now. This looks interesting though.
I got NMS on my PS4 years ago. I haven't played it in quite a while, so I'm sure if I installed it back it would have massive updates. However, this is the part of the blurb above that caught my eye:
FROM A SMALL STUDIO
A unique tale from Hello Games and the creative minds behind LostWinds.
Am I the only one that remembers LostWinds?? The game was a real treat and pleasure back on the Wii. This game reminds me more of that than NMS. I was very interested by this when I watched the Direct. Can't wait to see more!
Honestly, with all the updates it got, I'd much rather have No Man's Sky on Switch now.
The visuals are dazzling, no doubt
Nice. It reminds me of Hob which is a good thing.
@Highlar No sir you are not the only one who remembers LostWinds. I loved that game back on Wii and am still upset we never got the sequel that was teased at the end of the game. Once I saw that this new game, was from the creative minds of LostWinds, it immediately went to the top of my radar.
@SmaggTheSmug You make a valid point
@Highlar that was the bit that got my attention the most.
@graysoncharles Lost winds 2 ended inconclusively
@ryancraddock This looks pretty interesting, at least you thought so back in March - "Perhaps the most adorable of all the games highlighted in today's Indie World Showcase..." - and it may have released on Thursday, about 5 days ago, so, we getting a review? Sounds like a very short game someone could have knocked out over the weekend.
PS made it sound like a technical glitchfest, kind of afraid it will barely run at all on Switch.
Oh, and if you do review it, include the price, in the currency of your choice, and game length in hours, it matters for games like this.

@rjejr I believe a review is in the works as we speak. 🙂
@ryancraddock Thanks for the reply. I know it must be difficult reviewing 20 games on the eShop each week, but really 15 of those 20 don't look at all that interesting, this 1 did. I suppose it's a good problem to have.
