Fairytales, witches, crafting and potions — we were on board with Wytchwood from the get-go, and if you're a fan of all things cottagecore and cosy, you'll be spellbound too.

The game begins when a witch with a cauldron on her head finds out that she made a pact with a suspicious goat, and somehow can't remember it. We've all been there, right?

It might sound like a stressful time, but we're assured it's not, and that you'll find Wytchwood to be a "chill game" focused on exploration and foraging for spell ingredients across swamps, mountains, and forests.

We're getting big Slay The Spire vibes from the visuals, especially the main character, but it certainly seems less demanding than the roguelike deckbuilder — that's not to say it doesn't have a lot of depth, though. There's a Grimoire full of spells, reagents, and recipes which you'll have to find ingredients for, and as someone who used to make "potions" for her parents out of random plants from the garden, this author is quite interested.
