These better be $10 upgrades and not you have to buy the game again for better frame rate and better resolution that is scummy if Nintendo does this when these Switch actually sold a ton unlike the Wii U
while we all agree the next Mario Kart will sell very well, probably will be the best selling Switch 2 games do think it will sell significantly less than 8 Deluxe
"Nintendo Direct this week for sure this time" doesn't happen "Nintendo Direct this week for sure this time" still doesn't happen "Nintendo Direct this week for sure this time"
the definition of missed potential, such a disappointment of a game hopefully the next Animal Crossing isn't too far away and can blow ACNH out the water
Problem is what is super popular in one country does not mean that will translate to worldwide success, Dragon Quest mega popular in Japan but outside very few care, in America Call of Duty mega popular but in Japan they don't care
I'm hoping the Direct is 1 hour long that gives them plenty of time to show the hardware off more like the UI and hopefully better E-Shop then move onto the games which I want to see more than a handful new first party Switch 2 exclusive games
no I don't think they will new games are getting bigger thus taking longer to make Nintendo themselves have started that and as someone who follows PlayStation their out put how slowed down massively over the years and I can't see Nintendo avoiding this
Sony messed up with PS5 because they took too long to cut off support for PS4 and because of that PS5 is struggling to sell half their audience has still not moved over to PS5 over 4 years later I don't want Nintendo to fall into the same situation where they keep putting games out for Switch 1 and not enough Switch 2 exclusives and people think why do I need a Switch 2
they can want it to be as cheap as much as they want if the parts they want are expensive which they will be Nintendo will have no other option but to have a higher than usual price tag plus we know Nintendo doesn't sell hardware at a lose day one like Sony or Microsoft they want to make a profit day one
these sales were pre official announcement so obviously its not, this quarter however different story Switch 2 officially got announced January 16 how will that effect sales? maybe not much in Japan but outside of Japan I expect a big drop in Switch hardware sales
I don't care about Switch 1 anymore I just care about Switch 2 and getting to April 2nd for that Switch 2 Direct to learn about the games and pre orders
I still maintain the long term success of Switch 2 is not the name or backwards compatability its Switch 2 exclusive games that are not on Switch 1, if all the big first party games are on both Switch 2 and Switch 1 then there is no reason to get a Switch 2
June is the most likely release, why reveal in mid January and a early April Direct just to release in September? Doesn't make any sense when Switch 1 released less the two months after the January Switch presentation
yeah the early adopters will not be your average joe schmo casual gamer they are the hardcore gamers who will pay whatever price, people who are getting the current Switch now won't get a Switch 2 until 2035
I have no confidence I will be able to get a Switch 2 day one no matter how many Nintendo ships out, the demand for this console is going to insane and the bots/scalpers will be out in full force

Re: Talking Point: Will Metroid Prime 4 Get A Switch 2 Release?
I can't find any good excuses why there shouldn't be a native Switch 2 version that goes alongside the Switch 1 version
Re: Rumour: Metroid Prime 4 Will Apparently Make Quite The Splash At The Switch 2 Direct
I only want to see Switch 2 games in the April Direct not Switch 1 games

Re: Chrono Trigger To Celebrate 30th Anniversary With "Various Projects"
I would rather a HD 2D style remaster than a FF7 remake for Chrono Trigger
