Some people apparently need to hear this: all games have bugs. If you've ever programmed ANYTHING, you know it's unavoidable. Even perfectly crafted code will have issues for no conceivable reason that is fixed by arbitrary changes.
The fact I've never even heard of this until now, despite everyone I know playing it, suggests it's quite rare and requires some specific circumstances.
There's a global chip shortage going on. Even car makers are struggling to get them, leaving many car factories idling. It's far more likely that's the culprit here than any screwup on Nintendo's end.
Probably not even gonna get the Skyward Sword remake, because while I love the aesthetic and story, the gameplay was too much of an endless dungeon slog, but...
Oh yes. Absolutely irate about this thing that I've never noticed or seen in one level. Heads should roll. I will dedicate my life to making Nintendo pay for this. /sarcasm
You know gaming culture is messed up when this needs to be said at all.
I'm approaching 40 myself, and while once I mastered all the Megaman's and Megaman X's, and 100%ed all the games I played, these days I just want something to unwind with at the end of a trying day.
I had no idea Night In The Woods fell into this category... might try it out now. I could use a break from buying games and immediately giving up on them because they're too punishing to be enjoyable.
Was stoked to get it, but the reviews stating the difficulty spikes were rough mean it's a no-go for me. I play games to relax, life is a nightmare enough on its own.
I really wanted to get this, because I've been craving a new Starfox style experience. But then I remembered I've never enjoyed a single Ubisoft game. Even for a moment.
No interest in wired controllers anymore. Would want a wireless Gamecube style controller, but not one that mimics the design of the Wavebird. The Wavebird battery pack meant my fingers were too cramped.
The demo for this game kicked my butt. Are there any options for an easier experience in the final product? I have no desire to slog through a RPG anymore.
@DiscoGentleman He doesn't even work for Capcom anymore, and has no say over where Resident Evil goes. But with Capcom's new policy of only focussing on million-seller titles I wouldn't expect to see much of anything from them on WiiU ever again other than VC titles.
Also, always interesting to hear the thoughts of such a titan in the game industry who's had so much influence over the years. I read the whole interview and enjoyed his thoughts on the matter.
Just looks like the social media employee was running Tweetdeck (as they usually do) and had it set up for their corporate duties and their personal account, then accidentally posted under the corporate identity instead of their personal. Seen this a lot lately.
Most recently when CSIS accidentally trolled Amnesty International on their official twitter instead of whatever sockpuppet they meant to use.
Haven't we already been amid such a wave? Every indie game that's come along for years seems to be focussed on suffering and misery.
I grew out of difficult games about the time I had to commit myself to working hard for my own business. The last thing I want at the end of a tough day is to sit down and punish myself for some pretend sense of accomplishment. I want to feel relaxed and entertained personally, to get me rejuvenated for the next day of hard work and meaningful accomplishment.

Re: Yes, Link's Improved "Fast Travel" In Skyward Sword HD Really Does Seem To Be Locked Behind An amiibo
@SortingHat Of course it's someone with a Hairy Porper name that's behaving like this.

I NEED THAT AMIIBO
Skyward Sword Zelda is the best Zelda
Re: Review: Balan Wonderworld - A Charmless, Confusing Fossil From The Creators Of Sonic
Yeah that sounds like exactly what I'd expect from the creators of Sonic.
Re: Soapbox: Zelda: Skyward Sword Is Good, Actually
Had to stop reading at the negativity on Ghirahim. He's my boy, I love him. And he's prefect.
Re: Sci-Fi Love Story Haven Is Hitting Switch Later Than Other Systems
Oh man, this looks and sounds adorable. Gonna have to get this for my wife and I.
Re: Poll: What Was The Best Switch Launch Game (That Wasn't Zelda: Breath Of The Wild)?
Fast RMX, hands down.

HOOK IT TO MY VEINS!
Re: Soapbox: Astral Chain Was The Game Nintendo Needed Most In Its 2019 Switch Lineup
I couldn't get over the art style of Astral Chain. Their giant foreheads just threw me.
Re: Review: Nexomon: Extinction - An Interesting Pokémon Clone That Doesn't Quite Stick The Landing
@status-204 I never said anything about grinding.
Re: Review: Nexomon: Extinction - An Interesting Pokémon Clone That Doesn't Quite Stick The Landing
@status-204 Yeah that's not what every single review I read said.
Re: Review: Nexomon: Extinction - An Interesting Pokémon Clone That Doesn't Quite Stick The Landing
Hard pass for me then. Long, tedious combat in RPGs is such a big turn off. Same reason I took a pass on the latest Paper Mario.
Re: Review: Peaky Blinders: Mastermind - An Addictive, Time-Bending Puzzler, Once It Gets Going
When reviewers complain about a game being too easy, I know it must be good for me.

Was stoked to get it, but the reviews stating the difficulty spikes were rough mean it's a no-go for me. I play games to relax, life is a nightmare enough on its own.
Re: Nintendo Download: 16th July (North America)
Was hyped for a new Paper Mario, but... sorry, excessive difficulty in a colourful, fun game I play to relax is a deal breaker.
Re: Ubisoft Expected More From Starlink, Plans To "Create Better Products" For Family Market
I really wanted to get this, because I've been craving a new Starfox style experience. But then I remembered I've never enjoyed a single Ubisoft game. Even for a moment.
Re: Erotic Horror Lust For Darkness Might Be The Most Risqué Game On Switch, And It's Out Today
My wife bought this, and we played it together. Surprisingly good, even though the Lusst'ghaa name kinda led me to believe it'd be lame.
Re: Video: Bowser Gets A Scary Check-Up In The Latest Mario & Luigi: Bowser’s Inside Story Trailer
Big Bowz energy.
Re: Bethesda's Pete Hines Says Switch Game Releases Have Been A Huge Success
Replaying Skyrim on my fancy mobile Switch has been a blast. The perfect reason to go back and revisit Tamriel. Hope to see lots more from 'em!

Re: The Second Global Mission for Pokémon Sun and Moon Has Been Revealed
The first three comments are a great indication of what a mess this system is. Too convoluted by about a mile.
Re: Rare Co-Founder Has No Idea Why Nintendo Didn't Buy The Studio Outright
Just seems like another case similar to that of Silicon Knights; Nintendo saw the writing on the wall and moved on.
The only time I've heard a positive mention of Rare in years is a re-release of their old classic titles. I mean, that about sums it all up.
The people making business decisions are at least adept enough to not make massive multi-million dollar deals based upon nostalgia.
Re: Former President Of Silicon Knights Announces New Entertainment Company, QE2
I hope it works out and this thing gets made, and is awesome. Eternal Darkness was a masterwork.
With that said, for the same reasons I never went into the kickstarter: I don't believe they'll pull it off.
