Re: Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered Is Set To Be Officially Announced Tomorrow

@Gatorclops It's been under works. But Bethesda normally doesn't talk about its games until VERY close to launch. They made an exception with the next Elder Scrolls some years ago, but seem to have regretted it ever since, as nobody bothered to listen to their warnings that was really far off and they had multiple game projects to complete before it.

Re: Nintendo Aware Of Super Mario RPG "Paratroopa" Bug Preventing Progress

Some people apparently need to hear this: all games have bugs. If you've ever programmed ANYTHING, you know it's unavoidable. Even perfectly crafted code will have issues for no conceivable reason that is fixed by arbitrary changes.

The fact I've never even heard of this until now, despite everyone I know playing it, suggests it's quite rare and requires some specific circumstances.

Re: Rare Co-Founder Has No Idea Why Nintendo Didn't Buy The Studio Outright

Just seems like another case similar to that of Silicon Knights; Nintendo saw the writing on the wall and moved on.

The only time I've heard a positive mention of Rare in years is a re-release of their old classic titles. I mean, that about sums it all up.

The people making business decisions are at least adept enough to not make massive multi-million dollar deals based upon nostalgia.

@DiscoGentleman He doesn't even work for Capcom anymore, and has no say over where Resident Evil goes. But with Capcom's new policy of only focussing on million-seller titles I wouldn't expect to see much of anything from them on WiiU ever again other than VC titles.

Also, always interesting to hear the thoughts of such a titan in the game industry who's had so much influence over the years. I read the whole interview and enjoyed his thoughts on the matter.

Just looks like the social media employee was running Tweetdeck (as they usually do) and had it set up for their corporate duties and their personal account, then accidentally posted under the corporate identity instead of their personal. Seen this a lot lately.

Most recently when CSIS accidentally trolled Amnesty International on their official twitter instead of whatever sockpuppet they meant to use.
