Putting emotions aside, was there anything legal in their contracts about this? At what point, would you considered it just? Do you have rights to that object/code you created while working for that company? It's a lot more complex that what the easily offered generation realises.

@Shade_Koopa Not sure what speed but with my old dock which was using the official Nintendo LAN adapter, I was getting around 40Mbps but after connecting to new dock directly, getting around 100Mbps (which is my internet package top speed anyway).

@peterbasement I'm reasonably sure it would be. I just wanted to keep everything together for each unit.

Shorter power cable annoying. LAN Speedtest big improvement. Getting full speed now. Dock software updates in the settings is interesting.

FYI the cable is slightly shorter than the original HDMI. Probably because it's softer.
Update: Sorry, meant the power cable. Didn't have to measure the HDMI cable.

@GrailUK The woke mob here on NL (i.e. Captain Woke) don't like him as he's christian, allegedly a Trump supporter / Republican and calling him to be cancelled.

Unlike written contracts, verbal agreements are far more complex to provide evidence for.

A verbal contract will certainly hold up in court if you have the required evidence to prove it existed in the first place.

I've got the White one pre-ordered. I shouldn't be buying this as WFH atm and using it in the dock but the OLED screen, built-in network port, extra storage, longer battery life and my old Switch's fan rattling away, I'm "ok" buying this until the Switch 2 comes out. Oh, and the White model looks (be careful what I type next ........nice!!

I'm disappointed though that it's not a proper spec upgrade as most people were expecting. Nintendo being Nintendo, I don't think the Steam Deck will change their plans.

Prefer the white model over the black - nice for a change. Placed preorder with Smyth.

@machinepaul OLEDs are terrible in bright lights - worse than standard LED's. That is the main concern I have with the rumored OLED screen for the next Switch.

I wish articles like this investigate why Netflix isn't on the Switch. Does Netflix have to pay Nintendo or is it the other way around? At least then, we have a better idea as to why it's not on the Switch.

@KnightsTemplar Same - apart from gaming, YouTube is the most used app on my Switch which is mainly hooked up to the TV. My TV is too old for YouTube/Netflix and I don't want to have to purchase something additional where the Switch could easily run it.

A good friends mum has dementia - he described it as the walking dead. Must be so difficult to see love ones change in this way.

I think this game would be very difficult for people with 1st hand experience to purchase this game but well done to the developers for helping make more people aware of this illness.

I bought a keyboard mouse combo device which connected via wireless USB. Great with the Switch

Apart from usual joystick drift, the fan in mine rattles a lot. Don’t want to risk taking it apart for that. Really want the Pro.

@twztid13 this game the blame can be put mostly on the developers but there's only so much you can do with old Tegra X1 tech and you are seeing it more with ports (even good ports by excellent developers) the limitations - even with Nintendo 1st party games. The PS4 Pro and X1X didn't damage the user base, it gave consumers more choice. Nintendo will want to keep the momentum moving.

You see poor performance issues appearing more and more now. More reason for a Pro.

I'm all for a Pro version. I expect it will launch holiday session with Zelda (which is why they didn't show it last Direct) - Pro will get announced around virtual E3 time.

And to everyone complaining about Nintendo releasing a Pro version, guess what - don't buy it - no one is forcing you. You will still get 99.9% of non-Pro compatible games.

Playing this atm. Great surprise playing this - wasn't expecting it to be this good - and don't agreed on the point that it's easy to get lost - perfect amount of hand holding and exploring if you want. Definitely recommended.
