NOTE FOR NINTENDO LIFE: You should do an article on what Nvidia's recent press release of the RTX3000 series might mean for the next Switch? They are getting a lot of praise with it's performance / price and couldn't help but wonder what they could have in store for the Switch 2.

@Ulysses 100% agree. Nintendo selling Rare to Microsoft was a massive mistake for them. Those developers you mention definitively should be on Nintendo's buy list. Nintendo has more than enough money sitting in the bank.

Nintendo needs to do a Sony and buy some 2nd party developers to work exclusively on their platform.

@WoomyNNYes Yeah, I would prefer if they fixed the analog stick drift problem on all their controllers first - something they could have easily fixed a long time ago with later revisions.

@Yanina I’m referring to the legal age for gambling which is usually 18. This game is replicating Texas Hold’em sites like PokerStars. So again, why would I play this if I’m over 18 where I can play for and usually lose real money. That’s the whole point of gambling.

Unless you're under 18, why would you want this? And in today's "woke climate", would a game that promotes gambling be allow on consoles?

Agree - they should look at purchasing more studios / developers like Sony has done. Selling Rare UK was a big mistake.

I think Digital Foundry already covered this 4K thing a while ago. Their sources said 4K hardware up scalding while docked. It's not really 4K at source but instead taking 1080p data and up-scalding via this new hardware (not the same process as your 4K TV upscalding) and doing a better job at it. Screen on switch will stay at 720p.

The Switch Pro won't be as powerful as the PS4 / XB1. It will be another 3 years before they launch something that matches that with the Switch Duo!!!!!!!!!!!!!

4K docked is possible using just HW up-scaling but I think it would stay 720p for handheld. Remember battery usage is the biggest factor when using handheld - that is why Nintendo throttles the GPU while in handheld.

I can confirm this is true - they were going to launch end of this year but due to virus, now looking for March 2021. But maybe earlier or later.

@Desrever I still listen to some of the tracks on YouTube. Wish mainstream music was more like this - world would be more cheerful.

Finished this last month. Gold on everything except Yolo Arcade mode. Best music game IMO. Great 80's style pop music (if that is the correct way of describing it).

A lot of games on the Switch would benefit having mouse KB support.

@Crono1973 I think for the Space Invader winner, you do need to mention they had a sex change - otherwise it would be a bit confusing when seeing the footage of "him" winning at the tournament.

I've only read 6 testimonials (some very long) but I haven't read anything that he was doing as illegal - maybe sleazy and cheating on partners etc. He obviously had lots of female fans going from those testimonials and used his position to hook up, but unless it was s. abuse, and proven that it wasn't consensual - he shouldn't lose work about of this. Innocent until proven guilty - something that isn't happening in today's cancel culture.

I'm from the future Xmas 2020 and the Switch Pro has just been release - and that is why Nintendo has been quiet on game announcements.

Passed this game 100% just a few weeks ago. The biggest issue I had with it was it was difficult to know where to go on the map to activate the next bit of the story. Won't bother with the DLC but good on them for releasing new free stuff.

@sanderev I see it the other way:
1/ Nintendo doesn't want to lose momentum
2/ Vanilla Switch will look even more under powered
3/ Even for Nintendo, they have been unusually quite
...and my dad's friend's step-sister works for Nintendo.

Just wait a few months, and you will see.

@Rayquaza2510 @sixrings agree - I hope Nintendo releases a Pro later this year. Hopefully with them being un-usually quiet, maybe something is in the pipe line - but don't get your hopes up.

I always wondering exactly why he left Nintendo and not the PR stuff they normally say.

I wouldn't be surprised if Nintendo releases the Switch Pro end of this year - just an overclocked version to help games reach that 1080p docked / 720p handheld goal. I expect an announcement around September.

The proper Switch 2 won't be out till end of 2024 which will match the XB1 / PS4 power wise and will also target 1080p docked / 720p handheld.

I have a GTX1070 but will still buy this on the Switch as that is my gaming platform.

I think NL and a lot of other people thought the same when they saw the XC Switch trailer for the first time and couldn't see the difference.

I agreed with DF's verdict. It's a shame a Wii game can't run higher than 720p at 30fps on the Switch with slight graphic improvement. Will still play it though
