It would be funny to see a version with the virtual boy included, I bet it would be like finding a needle in a haystack. It would also be cool to see an extended image going back to 1983 to see the complete sales.
@twztid13 both of the arrow pointers represent the 25.9 million. It's just the way they chose to visualise the ratio between handheld and console sales with the blobs.
3 games is a bit of a sad collection, even the larger Infinity Collection is only 9, and missing some games that should be included.
Return of the Invaders, Attack of the Lunar Loonies, Space Invaders PS1, Extreme 2, Get Even, the absolutely incredible Infinity Gene, and most importantly - the actual original game. Why not include any of these ones?
@Bustacap Weren't Doom and Skyrim actually published by Nintendo on Switch? Or distributed, rather? On Amazon UK, the listings for those ask you if you want to got to "The Nintendo Store", which only lists products they published. Looking at Ubisoft or Sega published games has a similar prompt, but for Ubisoft or Sega stores instead, for example. Bethesda games on other systems have a more generic "Brand: Bethesda" tag also.
I would assume that pricing may ultimately be in Bethesda's hands for the digital versions, but physical is on Nintendo, so outside of sales they aim for price parity with the physical copies.
Even if this line was intented to be offensive - which it isn't - the Chinese are the last people who should be complaining about racism and discrimination considering all if the stuff that goes on in their nation. Amazingly, I'm not even talking about the concentration camps either, it goes way beyond those, which are already awful by themselves.
That goes for both the CCP and many of its citizens, who are encouraged to toe the line to keep a good social credit score. I feel a little sad for them that they have to go along with the terrible policies and defend their government, to avoid becoming social pariahs in the country, but it also means it makes them hard to trust. Hopefully this can change, but I'm getting into some deep cultural stuff, even in the context of this article, so I'd be best to leave it here.
@AndyC_MK84 People don't seem to like it when others say the things they enjoy are also enjoyed by children, and assume that such statements are mocking.
This is another classic case of guess which commenters read the full article (including tweet embed) and which are personal reactions to the headline. An easy game to play.
@Silly_G True about Koei Tecmo's DLC practices, but their prior collaborations with Nintendo (The first Hyrule Warriors, Fire Emblem Warriors, and Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3) were fairly generous with the DLC.
"It seems the film has a budget over $20 million"
I am 100% confident that isn't the budget for the entire film. The first one had a $100 million budget. It's probably the cost of filming in that location or something.
@Jakiboy There were two Sonic games released in 2019?
@HotGoomba___Rebrand That's correct. they sued them over the DualShock for alleged patent infringement, they even sued Microsoft too, but they of course flexed their pursestrings and settled out of court.
After trying the DualSense, I can confirm it's functionality is on another level from HD Rumble.
This isn't surprising though, that both Sony and Nintendo went to the same company. Immersion's work is pretty cool. The difference is Sony has gone all in for their controller, whereas Nintendo took a more modest approach.
@ballistic90 one of the biggest disappointments of the Switch.
Sega have been showing a lot of love to the 1998-2006 Adventure style era lately. I wonder if there's anything to it, like how we got a lot of Classic Sonic fanservice a few years ago.
While I expect the new game to not come to Switch, I'm surprised we've not seen any ports of older Tales games outside of Vesperia. Seems like easy money.
It's also worth pointing out I don't have Borderlands 2, but managed to claim the DLC for free. I'd recommend everyone who doesn't have the game to do that just in case, you never know right?
@nessisonett Some people's knowledge of game development can be summed up as: Open world game got a port, linear game must be capable of a port too.
That just isn't how it works. I can kind of understand the mindset if you're not well versed on how different games are made, but don't act like you do know.
That's more than I was expecting. When it was announced, I was expecting a Persona 5 Scramble type roster, with just the champions. But then they started confirming more, and even then this is more than I thought we'd get.
I definitely wouldn't worry about this. Persona 5 is Atlus's biggest game, and this is a canonical sequel to that. Plus they've released every other spinoff, such as the dancing games, and PQ2 even though the 3DS was dead when it was brought over. A potential combination of Covid delays, KT focusing on Hyrule Warriors first, and Atlus planning out their release schedule between SMTIII Remaster, SMTV, and P5S is probably keeping them from being able to lock down a solid date.
Maybe they also didn't want it to get too close to the new console launches, or it's simply not on Koei Tecmo's financial report because the publishing will now be handled by Sega, leaving it out of their hands. We'll see what specifically is causing the wait, but it will get localised sooner or later.
@Dang69 Exactly. If a film accidentally left in unfinished special effects in one scene, or there were very visible boom mics or cameras, people would be all over it, and you wouldn't get people saying "oh well you should be grateful to the studio for making the movie at all!"
Very odd emotional attachments people have to these corporations because they grew up with their products as children.

@DavidMac Let's not pretend that death threats are some kind of partisan thing, all groups have people that do it.
