Re: 'Square Enix Presents' Promises News On New Life Is Strange, Tomb Raider, And Balan Wonderworld

JeongersGaming

I won't bother giving my hopes for this, it seems the things listed in the tweet is what we're getting. Not much use to expect anything else. Also has Just Cause been demoted to mobile after 4? Damn.

"Square Enix is not exactly known for bringing things to Nintendo consoles."
In all fairness they've been doing a decent job with bringing things to Switch, maybe not on the Eidos side of things, but the Square and Enix back catalogue is getting some love.

Re: Nintendo Hiring Splatoon 3 Level Designer To Renovate "Existing" Stages

JeongersGaming

I'd like to see all previous stages from the first two games return. I think Splatoon 2 missed a few from 1. A shake up of the stage rotation would be nice too, it can get repetitive doing the same couple of maps for several hours at a time. It made sense in the beginning when we only had a few maps, but I think it's not necessary in it's current form.

Re: Get Ready For More Remasters From Activision Blizzard In 2021

JeongersGaming

@TheFrenchiestFry I doubt the new consoles helped either.

@Dezzy Crash 4 was included in the new year PSN sale too for half price. I think a decent chunk of people who held off because of the price jumped in there. The sales numbers are definitely higher than Gamston, though obviously not N Sane trilogy levels (I'm not sure that would be possible anyway, that game was a very special case imo). I think Crash 4 is going to be a slow burner, and a Switch port would boost sales. But yeah, it's not gonna do 15 million; maybe 5 million at the end of it all. I just hope Activision doesn't do the probable thing and assume that just because a 3D platformer doesn't always sell CoD numbers, it means it's not worth pursuing and we get more Crash and Spyro in future.

Re: Silent Hill, Gradius And Contra Composer Akira Yamaoka Teases New Project

JeongersGaming

@Octane I think it's possible the Sony part of the rumour may have changed. A few months ago some of Japan Studios left Sony to form their own independent team, including the Silent Hill/Siren creator (who was naturally rumoured to be involved) and they said they're working on a horror game.

Could be that Konami decided to instead go multiplatform and part ways with Sony, bringing some of their developers with them. Purely speculation on my end though, and it doesn't even guarantee a Switch release depending on how far along this thing has been in the works for - if at all.

Re: Video: Super Mario 3D Land Deserves to Be Remembered

JeongersGaming

@nessisonett it can sell a ton while also being underrated and forgotten about. It hasn't been much talked about since 3D World came out on Wii U, and that game's improvements seemed to make a lot of people overlook it. Before that I think things were certainly different though, and I think it's omission is bringing it back into people's minds again.

Re: Two Veteran Sonic The Hedgehog Writers Appear To Have Moved On

JeongersGaming

@Lukandon I think you misunderstood my comment completely. When I said Colours had the best writing, I was speaking strictly in terms of the games Pontaff wrote. I was telling you that the stuff they wrote after that only got worse from there, so if you thought Colours was the worst, you don’t know the half of it. Their writing is all bad, but the fact that Colours was their "best" says a lot.

Re: The Monster Hunter Movie Gets A Second Bite At Success Via March Home Release

JeongersGaming

This movie basically didn't even get a theatre run in many countries due to lockdowns. I wonder how it would have fared in a different timeliness, the RE films all did pretty well in spite of their quality after all, so this could've been a hit too. Also makes me wonder if they'll push ahead with a sequel even with the money lost on this.

@TheFullAndy The first Resident Evil film is pretty alright as well imo. Apocalypse too, but you can see the rot that infested every subsequent sequel setting in. It still has it's moments though.
