@nhSnork Yeah, exactly. They put out a lot of games, and they aren't all winners, but to call them a shovelware company is a bit harsh. There's good stuff in their catalogue.
People are asking "why them?" just keep in mind some of the other developers Nintendo works with tend to produce games of varying lesser quality when not working with Nintendo. Next Level, N Space, MercurySteam, etc.
This is becoming a real problem across Switch, PlayStation, Steam and presumably Xbox as well. Steam at least has a ton of filters to weed out this crap, but the others, Switch especially, are a nightmare.
@Ryu_Niiyama Yeah, it's quite funny. Especially when if we're being honest, most of Nintendo's catalogue is aimed at kids, they have no problem with that, but a GIRLY game?! EWWWW! I don't like to throw out the manchild card, but playing a bunch of games made for kids while sneering at something feminine like it'll give you cooties doesn't help.
@earthinheritor Not a single good game since 2001? Move that forward about 5 years and you may have a point. Other than Shadow the Hedgehog, everything between 2001-2006 was solid.
@LaytonPuzzle27 Naka wasn't involved with 06. He left before it came out, and was working on Phantasy Star Universe at the time.
Also imagine being mad about a music genre. It's permissible if you're a teen to say something like "rap/metal/etc sucks" or "rap/metal/etc is the only good music" but not for grown men and women. There's good and bad music in every genre, every artist/group, and so on.
@Keithustus They won't move away from turn based in mainline, if anything they're just doing a new form of turn based, be it ATB or another system. The core fans in Japan would not be happy.
@Bolt_Strike They could handle the dual screens in a portrait mode/tate orientation I suppose. It would mean handheld only but most DS games would have trouble working in docked. Just need an official Nintendo made grip really, not that the third party one don't work, but obviously they'd do their own in that circumstance.
I get why N64 and GameCube are unlikely to come for a very long time (having an app of 20 something GameCube Games in particular would eat tons of SD card space for most people), but where are the Game Boy games?
@AlienX or even just keep the SFC boxart as is, like the other Japanese boxes. Clearly the foreign language isn't a concern for Puyo Puyo and such.
@ModdedInkling @NikHogan @ALinkttPresent No, I think this was real, and related to the Netflix series. That's going to have a different cast due to it being made in Canada, and the contracts for the current Sonic game cast were up so it seemed likely that they were going to be replaced for the games ala Sonic X, and so the cast decided to announce they leaving of their own accord because that's better than being dumped, but later they worked things out. They had to reaudition.
A big clue is that when Mike Pollock reauditioned and got the Eggman role again, his statement said to expect to hear his voice in future Sonic games. Just games. Tails's voice actress said the same thing, she succesfully got the role back after reauditioning, but clarified she won't be involved with the Netflix show.
@Phenzy Unlikely since they're apparently moving away from the Classic/Modern Sonic division outside of merch. Not to say they won't make any more 2D games (even the "3D games" in the last decade have been more 2D than 3D), but they won't be in the style of Mania.
@Kriven That's working on the assumption that Mecha Sonic will even be a thing and that the movies are adapting the game storyline, which doesn't really seem to be the case, only in an extremely loose sense at best.
@gaga64 Those versions were released before the Jackson Estate started wanting royalties, so I guess there's some legal thing where they're exempt since they came out already, and it's only future releases that are affected?
@Trikeboy Sonic 4 Episode II is a pretty fine game though. It receiving lower scores than the first one is a joke considering it's a wide improvement in every margin, so I wouldn't care about looking at critical reviews in that case.
@LunarLunatone This is a common trend with Detective Pikachu apparently. I remember the 3DS game coming out ages after it was announced.
Anyway, I think the movie worked fine as a standalone adventure, and wrapped itself up rather nicely. It's one of those things that doesn't really need a sequel, but I wouldn't be opposed to another. Just wonder how they'd have Detective Pikachu return in another film. I think there's so much more of the Pokémon world to explore anyway.
@Goat_FromBOTW From what people like Tyson Hesse Sega will not be returning to Classic Sonic "wholesale". So it's most likely Classic is just going to exist as merch and re-releases for now.
Sonic Colours would look pretty nice if they ported it to the Hedgehog Engine 2. Could do the same with Generations while they're at it.
Though I have to say while I like this game, it's a bit of a downgrade after the leak that the Adventure games had full remakes in development that got cancelled in 2015. Hopefully they picked that project back up too.

Destroy All Humans is still funny.

So they may as well not exist in my eyes. Only available as a set of 5000 copies? Yeah, I'll have to pass.

Re: Reminder: DC Super Hero Girls: Teen Power Is Out Now On Nintendo Switch
The dislikes are a bunch of grown men upset over a game made for 10-12 year old girls. A bit sad, really.
Re: Bloodstained: Ritual Of The Night Sequel Officially Confirmed
@Ralizah Yeah, the only reason there wouldn't be a Switch port would probably be due to the follow up releasing in the meantime.

@BlueOcean Exactly, if what we saw in the trailer was all we're getting, they could release this right now.

Keep in mind they said they would change the command battle but not get rid of it.

@xxx128 It is. They co-developed it, didn't just give the whole thing to GuruGuru.
Re: Konami Might Have Plans To Outsource More Classic IP Following The GetsuFumaDen Revival
Reminder that Konami has no reason to outsource Metal Gear when the majority of the Metal Gear team still works there.
@Hydra_Spectre Kojima does not want Metal Gear. There's also no reason to give him ZOE, he didn't make that series.

This definitely isn't an artificial increase. Scalpers have a special place in the fourth circle waiting for them.
