Re: Video: Capcom, Please Put Dragon's Dogma 2 On Switch

Line it's been said by others, we'll be on the next console by the time this releases. Whether that will be powerful enough is another matter. As much as I like the Switch, I honestly just wish they would go in a more traditional direction, but the Japanese market is likely preventing that.

Re: Rumour: Sonic Team Is Working On A Brand New 2D Sonic Game

@jojobar Sakura Wars, PSO2 New Genesis and Puyo Puyo Tetris 2 would be the two most recent brand new games that were good if we're arbitrarily excluding RGG Studios, Atlus or any of their western studios like Creative Assembly (so most of their workforce). Apparently the 2 different Tokyo Olympic games were alright as well.

Re: Rumour: Sonic 2 Movie Could Be Arriving Soon On Paramount+

Seems like the new norm is a roughly 6-8 week cinema run before a film drops on streaming, followed by the physical media release a few weeks after that.

There is no Knuckles series BTW. It's a Sonic series (literally called 'Sonic: The Series'), they just confirmed Idris Elba would reprise his role as Knuckles in it during the announcement. This has oddly flown over even some of the hardcore Sonic fans heads.

@Fight_Teza_Fight @Phostachio rarely commenting doesn't make someone a troll. Just a lurker mostly. And neither of his comments seem like a troll either. First one is him saying YS VIII is really good basically, and like it or not, a lot of people genuinely believe that stuff about Disney.

@Mz3player @PBandSmelly The two worlds thing was always a misunderstanding. It meant two worlds as in two societies, rather than separate planets. They're just making it clear for people now thankfully. A similar thing happened with Forces seemingly established Classic Sonic as being from another dimension.

Looking forward to this. I'm a big fan of FF and kart racers. Plus it's £40, and I have £10 worth of gold points on my eshop so it'll be a steal for me at only £30. I'm willing to overlook the season pass thing for that specific personal reason.

Re: 'Switch Pro' Trends On Social Media After Massive Nvidia Leak Reignites Speculation

@moodycat It's worth keeping in mind that the Switch being halfway through it's life cycle doesn't mean we're waiting 5 years for a successor. Generally consoles continue to be supported for a few years after a successor comes out, unless it's a flop - then they drop it ASAP of course.

As an example, Sony claimed they had a 10 year plan for PS3. That didn't mean they were waiting until 2016 to release PS4, but that they would support PS3 for 10 years. It was discontinued in 2017, so the 10 year life cycle was actually slightly exceeded.

It's perfectly reasonable to expect that the Switch will be around until 2027, but with a Switch 2 coming out around 2024. It makes more sense than the 3DS sticking around until 2019, since the two consoles will have much more in common and probably will get a number of games released for both like we see on the new Sony and Microsoft systems.
