Square Enix has rolled out a new update for its online multiplayer co-op game Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicles Remastered Edition on the Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4.

It adds skippable cutscenes in certain events and resolves multiple bugs in the game to improve the overall experience. Here are the full patch notes courtesy of the Square Enix support page:

Version 1.0.2 (Switch) Patch Notes

- Boss appearance sequences and Myrrh drop acquisition events in multiplayer mode are now skippable.

- Fixed a bug that makes unknown element hot spots marked as [?] visible after playing in multiplayer mode with another player who has already activated the hot spot.

- Fixed a bug that allowed players to gain infinite items.

- Other various bug fixes.

This latest update follows on from a formal apology by the game's director last month, who said the team would "try to put things right" after players reported multiplayer and connection issues. Since then, the team has attempted to roll out "rapid updates" to resolve these issues.

At the time of writing, the game still hasn't returned to Australia's eShop. It was originally pulled from this eShop at the start of September when players were reporting difficulties accessing the multiplayer feature.
