We at Nintendo Life love ARMS almost as much as we like making ARMS-based puns, and we think it's time those of you who don't share in our hype get in on the scene before it's too late.
As such, divert your eyes somewhat upwards where you'll be able to see a video detail eight delightful reasons why your excitement levels should reach fever pitch.

Gettin' hyped.
Reason 9: It's a new Nintendo IP.
Bring the hype!
Right ARM!
It just occurred to me, this can, and will become an arcade machine at least in Japan. MK8 and Mario and Sonic at the Olympics already have wickedly amazing banks of arcade cabinets.....I'm betting Arms gets a boxing ring group cabinet with an industrial joycon setup!
Excited for Arms!
Not for me, this game was definitely inspired by a game years ago in arcades, on saturn and Dreamcast, it's the wonderful VIRTUAL ON
Yep ready for that demo.
I was on the hype train the moment it left the station from the first announcement.
@Freek Yeah I've been on that same train, think I saw you there too.
Seriously, I'm totally hyped for ARMS (and Splatoon 2). These two games will be my 2017 gaming highlights (right after BotW, of course).
Already have the demo dpwnloaded and am super curious about it, but at the moment cant see myself buying it at launch with Tekken 7 coming out shortly. Unless im truly wowed may wait a while for everything to be released before jumping in. Looking forward to tommorow night!
Voice chat online?
Really there is only one big reason I would get this...
HYPE
Does anyone know if the demo include single play?
Twintelle. That is all
Game looks insanely good. Idk why it only seemed moderately appealing at first. Like most Nintendo games, it gets better every time they show it. Now the game just looks downright incredible.
I was so excited for the test punch I tried playing straight after the direct. Then I checked the times and waited till 10pm and still couldn't play. Then I sore the dates and felt like an idiot. See you guys tomorrow.
I hope the gameplay is good, the aesthetics remind of a small child getting ahold of a TV remote and cranking up vibrance, brightness, contrast, and gamma. Wayyyyyyy too bright and neon.
It looks good, but I'm not convinced that there's enough here to justify an 80 CAD price, mainly because some of the modes don't look very fun at all, like basketball.
@N8tiveT3ch ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)!
I'm hyped. Although, I'll be haunted by the fact that Spring Man in game looks no where near as cute as the official artwork makes him look.
Twintelle. That is all.
No curve punching with non-motion controllers?
I don't like motion controls and you pull this on a mainly online multiplayer game?
What the heck?
I was hyped for this. Now I ain't gonna get it. Damn
The characters and the graphics really go well with each other, This game will be a huge success.
I only have a 3DS and I don't pretend to buy a Switch anytime soon, my pc broke and I'll have to save some money to get a new machine, but I do want to play this game. I hope I'll get the chance to play it.
The only reason to get hyped for ARMS is that shortly after it launches, the media will forget about it and I won't have to see it everywhere.
@Menchi187
Who can forget so easily about ARMS, a New Fighting games from Nintendo with Spring arms like Dhalsim and sexy Twintelle ?
Just look at Deviantart.com !
@Timppis To be fair, this is THE flagship game for motion control on the Switch. This is the game that is supposed to show off exactly what those cute little Joy-Con can do. That's why they gave it a central role in the Switch reveal spot.
All other control schemes were guaranteed to be compromised from the moment they announced the concept. Not really a surprise.
@Anti-Matter I have no need of seeing Thirstelle fanart
@Menchi187
I'm already sick of the fact that the click-baity booty-shot Twintelle is like every article and every thumbnail now. Same as that Cami shot for SF2 earlier today. Disappointing, imho.
Is this IGN? I come here so I DON'T have to see sexualized teases on articles.
@speedracer216
Springman should be exposed more than Twintelle to counter the Stereotype of "Sexy chics first".
Hot looking boys are sometimes mesmerizing, eh ?
I don't need a 10 min video to get hyped. Very eager to try the demo and then download the game and play it day 1.
I'll wait and see. Arms seems like a mainly Multiplayer game, so I'll wait and see if there is a strong online community. It's like Mario Kart. Finishing single player counts for about 15 per cent of the time I actually played the game.
i solemnly swear that i am up to no good for i fully intend to do some ARM(s).
I think it's interesting that out of the 10 initial fighters there's an equal balance of four men and four women (while the remaining two don't have a gender).
I just cant get excited or into arms. I hope it does well. But its just mmmm uninteresting to me. I have talk too a few switch owners that feel the same way.
@JasmineDragon
I do understand that, but for me the personal preference for the traditional controls is so great that I can't fathom how they didn't apply even basic twist with shoulder buttons or something.
I still do like most of the game and I hope it'll be a great success, but just for me this is now only a demo that I'll try and then I'll start waiting for Spla2oon. (which it really should be called)
@speedracer216 This is only one of two pieces of official artwork of Twintelle available, the other being stylised and very low res; we don't really have much of a choice.
@Timppis For what it's worth, I'm pretty much in the same boat. I've never enjoyed any game with motion controls. I'm very curious to see how ARMS plays with them and without, just to see if this is any different for me.
But if it doesn't play well with a Pro controller, I'm probably not buying it, because there's no way I'm going to buy a second pair of Joy-Con just to play with my kids and I'm never good enough to play online much.
I guess we'll find out tonight!
@AlexOlney
Hey Alex, appreciate the response. and LOVE your videos. i straight up have not been to IGN or really any game sight for almost two years for that reason and because I found NintendoLife. discussion, content, everything is so much better here! So keep up the good work.
And to be fair, part of my frustration is with Nintendo. I know it's their artwork. Just like I downloaded and almost immediately deleted the fire emblem app when I saw some of that character art. Just don't need that.
Anything you guys can do that helps avoid that I think is great because so many other places go "lowest-common-denominator" and turn everything into eye-candy for clicks. I think it's harmful personally, but even if others don't agree, i just think the sight is a lot more fun when it isn't hijacked by "twintelle is hottest!" or whatever
thanks for listening. keep up the good Nintendo work!
@alexolney
'Let us know what you think of the game besides the size of Twintelle's hair down there' We can't see her hair down there! Thankfully, this is a family game.
