Alright NL, I'll trust you guys on this one. Downloaded the demo but haven't played it yet. Backlog is getting loooong. Haven't even played Blasphemous 2 yet!

Oh I'm so happy to see this! Day one buy for me! But, the backlog is getting real...

I'll get the eshop demo next week and choose then. Just got a Playstation Portal so this may be the perfect game to test it out on!

Yakuza is one of my all time favorite series'. The change to turn based RPG completely killed it for me. Bringing back combat and making an animal crossing style game is like the developers issuing me an apology and making exactly what I want

@CaleBoi25 HIGHLY recommend you check it out. Each episode is only around 9 minutes long. Writing is very clever. I may check this game out for myself!

As someone who has played and owned almost every Nintendo console, Switch is FAR and away the best of the bunch. As gamers, we are very spoiled with it. These are the good old days for sure.

I'm surprised "very slight frame rate wobbles" and a "small camera glitch in one area" was enough to take a star away from the final score. Seems from reading this review, this is a no doubter 10/10.
That being said, I'm so excited for this game and this review solidifies my excitement. Not much as piqued my interest since Zelda, and not much else will until Wonder.

Weak line up for the rest of the year, imo. Wonder looks incredible, but if you're not a pokemon fan, you're out of luck.

Please, someone be our hero and buy it and report back.

@Bobb I'm in the same boat. Bought the game day one and haven't fired it up yet. I refuse to put time into this garbage until its fixed. You could say who cares, they got my money anyway, but they sure won't be getting any more!

Not good news. Devs say its hard to remove, so they put time and effort into removing it instead of, you know, FIXING THE GAME? Waste of time and pretty much answers the question of if we're going to get a decent game or not. Really disappointed I threw down the cash on day one expecting to get Golf Story caliber quality.
Sidebar, if you folks hope to continue developing games, you need to fix this mess. Losing a lot of fans here.

Excellent! Glad to hear it scored well. Was hoping for this. I skipped the Wii and Wii U generations because of the way they played. Switch is perfect and so glad I get to experience these games that I never got to the first go around!

@Zuljaras YES! I want a solid game that devs really cared about. Good soundtrack, etc. These games don't need to be revolutionary or move the genre forward to get a good score.

@TheBigBlue In short: if you enjoy open world games, get it. Even if you're not the biggest Sonic fan. It had great new ideas and while the execution wasn't always there, it hit way WAY more than it missed. Insta buy.

I'm not a huge sonic fan, but I absolutely loved this game. There were flaws, no doubt, but it was just plain FUN. The fact that sales were more than anticipated is great news for the direction of the franchise. Another Frontiers sure seems likely now. Same formula, iron out the kinks, and you've got a winner.

Can we just get dead cells 2?

@Joeynator3000 amen. Same boat. The game had so much promise, but I finally got to the end of my frustration with the performance issues and put it down. Knowing myself, once I put down a game because of that I probably won't pick it up again.

As soon as I saw they were focusing on many sports, I did a Rock eyebrow and said hmmmm.
This was exactly my concern, that having more than a few sports would thin out the gameplay, and that sounds like it’s exactly what happened.
As far as the bugs and no direction gameplay goes, this game has been in development for what, 5 years? There just isn’t any reason for it to be so unpolished.
To be fair, Golf Story had a lot of issues as well upon release, so as long as Sidebar stays with the game (which I believe they will) we should get a solid game in a few months time. Until then, this one will stay in the queue, which is unfortunate because I’ve been looking forward to it for YEARS!

INSTANT download! I am SO happy about this game. Been following it, waiting and waiting and waiting. Thought it would be out years ago. This is such a great day!!!

I love the River City games. Always have. I've put around 5 or so hours into RCG2 and I just haven't been able to get into it the way I could RCG1. The expanded maps are fantastic, but it makes the backtracking even more of a chore. Feels like it takes forever to get where you need to go, more so than usual. I will pick it up again, no doubt. But I'm in no rush.

@Bunkerneath That is a SCREAMING deal. I paid full price and put around 40 hours into it. SO SO SO good. I really enjoyed it and I think you will too!

I enjoyed the original RCG, so to hear this is more of the same is not necessarily a bad thing for me. However, a 7/10 from NL is not what I was hoping for. Still a day one buy until Sports Story!

Skip the DLC and go all out on sonic frontiers 2.

I can't stand sites that don't give a score. Just... give a score. I stopped going to Polygon for that very reason

@Gamer83 Thanks for chiming in as an Xbox user. If I don't buy this on Switch (seems like I probably won't) it will be Xbox.

@Nikhogan I assume you're playing on Switch? Playable? NLife made it seem like its just trash and unplayable.

Man, this is devastating. I was seriously considering picking this up as the reviews weren't ALL bad. But you guys hitting it was a 4/10 I'm really reconsidering buying this. Sure would like a demo on the eshop!

@MatoFilipovic I am! Sure, there were many questions during this last year about the game from those that saw it, but there were also some bright spots that came out indicating this could at least be a decent game. A 4/10 was something I was not expecting.

This is one that for months and months I’d check on every now and then. I eventually stopped and forgot about it because I thought it may be dead. To say I’m pleasantly surprised by the news is an understatement

At this point, I can't even consider games you guys rate less than 8 with my current Switch backlog, and I'm sure I'm not alone. I might have to move that up to a 9 if games like this keep coming!

I just want more shovel knight. No pocket dungeon, no card games. Just give me more platforming shovel knight sweet actions!
