GTA V still making top 10. Absolutely incredible.

Yet again, another reason I follow NL. I game I had totally forgot about being reviewed and I'm like... oh yeah THAT game! 8/10 is enough for me to probably pick this up, although I just started Stardew Valley while waiting for a patch for Cult of the Lamb and Hell Pie to come out on Switch. Choices choices!

Nintendo fans are an interesting bunch. No Zelda for over half a decade, freak out. New Splatoon after over half a decade? "Meh it could have been just DLC" lmao.

@Ragdoll72 This is an excellent point. I'm not sure what it is about Splatoon, but it seems as though folks want revolutionary changes each iteration. I don't think that's fair. The last splatoon was great, imo, and it looks as if Nintendo has done just enough to warrant a new entry. Pretty much what I wanted: new levels, new coat of paint, new guns, etc. I think I'll pick this up.

@EarthboundBenjy ugh I REALLY want to be into this game, but you're right, which makes me super cautious. This game is so up in the air right now. Could be trash, could be great.

This game is so good, but I’m starting to hit serious bugs and performance issues. As soon as I hit about 12 followers, the game slowed immensely. Frame rate drops caused me to die on a run. Can’t chop wood, follower that asked you to marry them can’t be chosen from the list of followers, etc. Devs need to get a patch out ASAP.

@a_brave_new_geek There have been some complaints about the lack of 60FPS, but honestly I don't notice it. Plays fine to me. My biggest issue are the bugs, which I highlighted in a comment just above. Personally, I would hold off until the patch comes out because it can get wildly frustrating. Quest breakers, not being able to mine resources, etc.

@OorWullie Yes. I've got about 5 hours in, ~10 followers, and I'm most likely going to stop for now (although I don't want to!) Worst bug I've come across so far is I got a quest to marry a follower, went to marry them and they were not an option for the ritual. I failed the quest and my faith dropped to zero, which creates its own issues. Also had a few game breaking bugs. You're smart to wait!

When LIS first came out, I loved it. Since, there have been so many different releases I've lost interest. Anyone keeping up with the series... worth it?

I'm not much of a JRPG guy. I look to you guys and typically IGN before I buy. Looks like I'll have to get the demo at the very least and give it a shot!

Wow, this makes me so sad. I was really looking forward to this one. Now it’s a pass. Sounds like they can fix some things via updates, but isn’t ready to play. Sounds like I’ll wait on the heavy hitter Delicious Last Course for my next game!

This Kirby game is just so fantastic. It's so so good. I hope they make a sequel.
I can't believe Nintendo is just cranking out insta-classics for the Switch. There have not been many misses at all over the last 5 or so years which is quite remarkable. This is a really great time to be a Nintendo fan!

I'm one of the very few that tried Hollow Knight for many hours and just couldn't get into it, so I don't care too much about silksong. Here's what I do care about!

-Firm date for TMNT Shredders revenge
-Firm date for River City Girls 2
-release window for Sports Story
LONGSHOT:
-Cuphead 2 (Yes I know DLC is coming next month)
-Streets of Rage 5

Just bought the game Friday, got about 10 or so hours into it and this review, as they usually are, is spot on. This game so far is fantastic. It’s not “tippy-top tier” (love that description) but it’s way up there. If you dig metroidvanias, you’ll really enjoy this.

I hear ya. The games themes are certainly one that could cause pause in those of faith. I've played hundreds of hours of Isaac, and personally, playing the game I rarely think of the religious themes. The game is by far one of the greatest ever of the genera, and maybe one of the greatest period. I urge you to try it out for a few hours. You may be pleasantly surprised. Or, you can't get past it and put it down. Either way, the game is so good, so profound, that it is worth the risk of $40. Worst case, you donated the money to Nicalis, one of the best to do it right now.

Really happy with the comments here. One of the few comments sections on the internet that is respectful and understanding.

I still remember playing GTA III when it first came out - being stunned as there was nothing like it. Vice City was far and away my favorite of the series. I'll consider this purchase, but there are so many other games I haven't played yet. Will be hard to devote time to stuff I've played before.

Seems like a no brainer for anyone who plays mostly in handheld mode. Like I do.

@JaxonH Which oled tv? I have a lg cx and it’s absolutely ruined tv for me. Watching on anything else looks like trash. I love it! To me, is as big a step as when HD was first introduced.
I’m SO excited for this oled switch, and those white joycons look so clean.
