Re: Budget New Nintendo 3DS Models Announced for North America

Jaeger

Really hoping this price isn't only for Black Friday. I've been wanting to get a N3DS after my original one's started acting up (R button barely works now and Circle Pad feels stuck-ish with a replacement cap I got).

I'm saving up for a Switch, but a $100 detour before March should be okay. Hopefully the price is permanent (or lasts a bit past the 25th) and Amazon is one of the retailers for it. Gotta make use of my Prime if possible.

Re: Poll: How Excited Are You About Pokémon Sun and Moon?

Jaeger

Once we know the exclusives per version I'll make a decision on which I'll get.
Also not really hype, but I can be persuaded, yes. So far none of the new Pokemon interest me, they mostly just look really basic or cutesy, nothing really interesting yet.
And I don't like Alolan Forms. It just gives me Gen 6 vibes where we got very few new Pokemon but apparently countless Mega Evolutions were enough to compensate... Not really though.

Re: Darksiders is Coming to Wii U

Jaeger

I'm only getting it if it actually plays properly.
Darksiders II was too choppy during combat and that alone killed my interest to continue playing it entirely.

Good framerate would be nice next time.

Re: Nintendo Download: 21st April (North America)

Jaeger

Nothing for me.
I was gonna get Star Fox Guard alone but it turns out to be $14.99 so I'll pass. I only have $10.02 on my eShop funds and my credit card doesn't work with Nintendo so forget spending an extra $10 on an eShop card when I just need the $4.99 lol.

Re: Review: Star Fox Zero (Wii U)

Jaeger

@Kirk Welp. Guess I'll be saving my money then.
Here's hoping they stop with this motion controls nonsense. It's not fun at all.
The only kind of game I'll give it a free pass on is something like Mario Party, otherwise, no.

Re: Review: Star Fox Zero (Wii U)

Jaeger

So... Since it wasn't explicitly said, does it have forced motion controls of is there an option not to use them?

Honestly, if it's shoved in I am not getting this. Otherwise I'll gladly support the series and pick it up as I'm interested. Motion controls are a huge deal breaker for me though.

Re: Feature: Breaking Down the My Nintendo Loyalty Economy, Again

Jaeger

@AlmightyDerek What drive are you using?
And I agree, I will most likely still buy Wii U games physically from Amazon to make use of my Prime that I spent a lot on in the first place. The Gold Coin rewards are so pointless it's not worth trying to accumulate the coins for them. Also considering how much of a drought there are with Nintendo releases (I personally want nothing that's coming up) my coins would just go to waste in the 6-month span.

Even the Platinum rewards are meh... 15% off is hardly anything (it's like $7 less...), and I'm not exactly interested in Picross or getting WarioWare (even though it's good I don't see myself using it much) so...
I will probably get the games anyway since it's just 2 of them (and I can get either one already) but I really wish the rewards were better. At least more games or better discounts... the amount of coins you waste just to get 15% off and thus make yourself miss out on the other rewards (even if they're shoddy) is not worth it at all.

Re: Feature: Breaking Down the My Nintendo Loyalty Economy, Again

Jaeger

@CompanionCube And that's assuming people even like/comment on your posts so you get 10-20 off of them. It's a bit annoying having to rely on people to complete tasks for you since maybe they disagree with your answer or have nothing to say. If you have a small amount of friends this is even worse.

At the very least one can get 5 from changing clothes, 5 from answering, and 5 from reading people's stuff.
15 guaranteed off your own use, 10-20 extra if your friends list proves to be useful.

Re: Video: Check Out This Overview of Bravely Second

Jaeger

I'd get it because the first one was fantastic but I'm so burned out on RPGs I'd rather wait. Default also gave me plenty of play time so I'm also burned out on Bravely as a whole for a good while, I don't even wanna bother just yet.

Re: Feature: Breaking Down the My Nintendo Loyalty Economy, Again

Jaeger

I'm still really disappointed that physical copies don't count for Gold Coins. I'm starting to buy Wii U games on Amazon because of Prime making them a much better price for what I feel they're worth ($47.99 instead of $59.99), but of course I get nothing even though I still bought their game... It's honestly awful.
I'm not sure if it's worth it honestly, especially considering how awful the Wii U is in terms of storage space.

At the very least I exclusively buy games digitally on 3DS since 32GB is plenty of space for how small games tend to be (and even the bigger ones don't make much of a dent).

Re: Nintendo Download: 24th March (North America)

Jaeger

@ThomasBW84
Not sure if I'm tripping or not but some discounts might be missing there. 3D Gunstar Heroes isn't the only 3D Sega game on sale. There's Shinobi 3, the Streets of Rage games and I believe 2-3 others I can't remember.

Re: Nintendo Download: 17th March (North America)

Jaeger

Pokken is arriving either tomorrow or this upcoming Monday for me, so I'm getting that! Amazon better come through!

I also have Map Pack 1 for Fates so I'm automatically getting its DLC as well. Excited more for Pokken though, I need it tomorrow if possible!

Re: Review: Pokkén Tournament (Wii U)

Jaeger

Solid review, this and GameXplain's answered tons of questions that I've had, so I greatly appreciate them. I'm eagerly waiting for Amazon to deliver my copy after this upcoming weekend!

@AlexOlney One question I still haven't had answered, though, can you save replays of matches in any way at all? I wanna be able to keep great matches but I can't quite get a capture card just yet...

Re: Minecraft Update Version Number Three Has Gone Live

Jaeger

This is awesome, though I'd appreciate support for Classic Controllers. Having to get a Wii U Pro controller just to play this with my nephew is really inconvenient considering how pricey they are...

I understand the left+right stick clicks have functionality but still.

Re: Poll: Vote for Your Favourite Main Series Pokémon Games - 20th Anniversary Edition

Jaeger

Emerald, Diamond and Black for me.
Emerald got me into Pokemon, Diamond was a lot of fun (and at the time I didn't even notice the really slow battles), both as the regular game and an Action Replay ridden save I ended up messing around with a lot. Black is easily the best one of the 3 but I prefer Emerald/Hoenn overall just because it was my first and I enjoy its Pokemon/lore/map more.

Re: Review: Project X Zone 2 (3DS)

Jaeger

@MitchVogel There's a section between intermissions where you can get DLC apparently. I saw something like that when playing the demo the other day.
Also, if you pre-order the game (at least from what I saw on Amazon) you get the DLC for free which is like some extra mission, bonus items, and a 3DS theme. I'm mostly interested on that mission.

Re: Review: Project X Zone 2 (3DS)

Jaeger

@MitchVogel could you pitch in here? I need a little help.
What DLC is in the game and what are its prices? I can't find it anywhere online and the eShop has nothing on it :/.

Re: Review: Project X Zone 2 (3DS)

Jaeger

@MitchVogel Same! There's only a few series I recognize out of the whole bunch, and even if I kno w them but haven't directly played their games it never really detracted from my enjoyment of the game. I don't think knowing the characters is that important here, maybe playing through will interest you in some of the more obscure series they have like what happened with me.

Re: Review: Project X Zone 2 (3DS)

Jaeger

@GoldenGamer88 That's what I personally initially though PxZ would've been back when they kept teasing stuff about it. Too bad it's just a continuation of a series though, Namco X Capcom was the game to start it and now PxZ changed names and added Sega into the mix.

Re: Review: Project X Zone 2 (3DS)

Jaeger

Gonna get this at some point. The first PXZ was pretty fun just as a means of killing time with simple gameplay much like a Musou/Warriors game. I didn't mind it so much that I even played through it about 3 or 4 times in NG+, so I'm sure I'll make use of this one in similar fashion.

I'll wait on this, though. I'm getting Fates which will be a fellow SRPG occupying my 3DS so until I'm done with that I'd rather keep my money.

Re: Nintendo Download: 11th February (North America)

Jaeger

I'm surprised Legend of Legacy is already on sale. I might pick it up before it goes back up. Gonna need that Oddworld review to see if I get that as well or not... Other than that I may not even get anything from this week at all!
