Wow, this sucks. I've played through every Borderlands couch co-op with my wife, and generally look forward to their releases because well, couch co-op tends to have gone the way of the Dinosaurs and I could always rely on the Borderlands series to have the option. This news worries me that we're going to get another Nintendo generation with heavily sacrificed ports.

I've been mostly playing Yakuza Like a Dragon this last week, I bought it day 1 a few years ago but was suffering from Yakuza fatigue as I spammed through the complete mainline series just prior and burnt myself out. Thought I'd revisit this week and omg I've caught the Yakuza/Like a Dragon bug again - hard! Was looking at trying to get Dead Souls as it's the only one I haven't played pre Like a Dragon but wowee the price has skyrocketed for that so don't think that'll be happening anytime soon!

Anywho, this weekend I will be alternating between Yakuza LaD and Bananza!

Well, I never did manage to complete Wind Waker prior to DK releasing, but I am determined to see it through! So this weekend I'm going to allow myself some time off to alternate between WW and force myself to progress past the tutorial level of DK, even though I'm having way to much fun punching through everything lol

I used to be a die hard physical enthusiast but I'm letting myself go this generation, primarily for convenience but I've also promised myself not to be just a shelf collector anymore so I've gone digital and am having an absolute blast with the opening hours of DK!

I feel like this would be suited as a side quest in Yakuza

Currently playing through Windwaker on NSO - hoping to have it completed in time for Bananza!

It's worrying news that all these layoffs are happening and doesn't bode well for the future of gaming, I can't help but feel that we won't see a rise in unique, fresh games and instead they're killing creativity by closing all these smaller gaming studios

My brain can not get used to the OG pro controller not having the ability to wake the console up and I hate how every day I have the same conversation with myself about purchasing the new pro controller just because of this QoL feature lol

I've played 2k to death on my Xbox and thought I'd want to buy this in a heartbeat but I've got to say the way 2k has over monetized their myfaction modes, especially in the last few months and practically missold their first DLC wave has really put a bee in my bonnet over buying another 2k game. I'm well aware that there has to be profit but when a company cares more about squeezing every last dime out of a player base instead of the game itself it becomes very apparent and is a huge turn off.

For the slightest of seconds I thought this was Spirit Track related when I opened up the home page and saw the train 😭

As a career illustrator this saddens me.

I'm not sure I have the eye for it but tbh I've not noticed any issues with the Switch 2 screen and having a larger screen size after being so used to my OG Switch is a welcome addition so I'm more than happy

I've never really had an issue with the Blue Shell, yeah it adds an element of stress but in a fun way! Especially against friends

I'm yet to win a knockout tour online but I'll keep trying haha, I'm having a lot of fun with MK World online but my only gripe is not being able to play with both friends and strangers at the same time

I've had an absolute blast using game chat on Mario Kart World and can't wait to use it on Splatoon 3!

@Jslade my own personal take is that Diddy will be in the first DLC wave alongside new DK and Pauline outfits, hence why we only get x1 additional outfit for each of them at the moment unlike most other characters

I like to mix it up but I've always had a soft spot for Daisy as a playable character when given the option - we need Daisy to feature more in some mainline games!

At the moment I'm deep into Wind Waker on NSO, I never played it first time round and even though I bought the HD version for my Wii U it was towards it's end of life and never got round to playing so really enjoying playing the original on my Switch 2 now, so will be alternating that with MK World and Link's Awakening, happy gaming everyone 🤘🏻

This has been bothering me no end at the moment, its almost like muscle memory for me, pick up pad, press home button, press home button again, realise, walk over to console and press button. It really is the little QoL things that make all the difference lol

My plan is to get one down the line, but for now my Switch 1 pro pad is working just fine with games, my only gripe is how it doesn't turn on the switch 2 console from standby so I am already fighting the urge not to buy one for that reason alone 🤦🏻‍♂️

Definitely a close one between DK and MK, I love the detail in both but I think DK just tips it for me, awesome cover art

Wasn't there an article a while back (rumouring) saying Nintendo was prepared for their biggest console launch in history and guaranteed consumers a unit day 1 if they wanted one? I'm so done with rumours at this point, this has been the most frustrating console launch for me and I've been gaming since the NES, I don't know, maybe I'm just getting too old lol

Thanks for all your answers to my question, I think it makes more sense to me now, I'm erring on the side of for the most part it's lack of effort/lazy ports which is a real shame, especially as I've been eyeing up this collection for a while despite just having picked up the Metal Gear HD collection pretty cheap for 360, I guess for now I'll stick with that instead of going portable

Genuine question as I don't know, but why do these games struggle to hit a consistent 30fps on modern consoles opposed to the 60fps on the original older hardware?
