@goldgriffin360 Inflation is one factor moving the needle in that direction but there are so many and larger things moving it in the other direction such as the audience it bigger now meaning they can charge less per game, the physical part of games costs less now than it did before and so on.

@sanderev Thats what I’m hoping but the proof will be in the pudding. Plus some of them wont be emulated properly/at all. It’s similar to the 360 backwards compatibility situation.

@johnvboy The only one in the facts section which could be disputed as a fact or not would be the games costing too much part but the market will soon make that decision I guess.

• switch 1 games are emulated & will have similar issues as xbox games on the 360
• the whole c button situation needing a subscription for a button
• it’s so much cheaper in japan meaning that they could charge so much less for it

My personal situation

• I dont need a new console rn, I buy an indie game on switch every other week or so
• I have the cash but not ready to spend it, between the console, a controller, a new 120hz monitor, I’m looking at £1000 all in.
  I’m not confident on how the eshop will transition

I’ll be waiting for after the release and I’m in no hurry.

Wtf? These are a must imo. I use one on my switch and it really boosts it on so many games. There’s a bigger jump with these than there is from ps5 to ps5 pro. Honestly I dont get why these aren't an industry standard. When I show these to people in person they’re always like “ah ok that looks much better than on photos”.

If it’s still running at 30fps then it doesn't really matter the differences.

I want to see a full TATE mode for the os. It would make sense since there are so many shmups on switch.

Even though I believe them I’m still going to wait and see how integrated it is. I’ve dropped over £2.5k on 400+ games, I need to see that they’ll transition over seamlessly.

@Cikajovazmaj Unless you're at one end of a room where the background remains still everything is ghosting like crazy. I would rather lower graphics if it meant it was more playable. If they had 2 modes available that would have been amazing.

@masterLEON It’s my most played wii u game and it’s also the last 30fps game I tolerated. A smooth fps is not a cosmetic one, 30fps causes unnecessary eye strain and fatigue.

The only job they had was to get it running at 60fps….

Do people play this? Just release a mainline F-Zero already.

The best thing about the Dreamcast was that it had no EA games. I would love for the switch 2 to have this feature.

@ChakraStomps Smash bros, mario kart, mario odyssey plus 400+ of my indie games I play on switch. All run at 60. There are limitations but they have spent those limitations on other things rather than how well it runs.

@ChakraStomps It’s pure laziness, make it run smoothly or don't release it at all.

@FishyS I change mine every month or so. I aim to have the icon represent the genre or something I’m playing at the time.

I’m kind of with the boomers on this one. I enjoy AI but this doesnt sound great.
