Getting this on release day. And then My New 3DS and MH4U come in the mail the next day. Valentine's Day is going to be very busy for me.

Got my MH4U bundle, so I'm not even mad. I actually prefer the MH design over the MM design, personally. Silver always looked better to me.

I think everyone would prefer an actual wearable Majora Mask.

MH3U uses the 3D effect REALLY well. I'd argue better than OoT3D

@River3636 8 year olds do not need smartphones. 8 year olds don't know enough about responsibility or safety to even have a phone to begin with, in my opinion.

I caved and bought a NES 3DS XL and XL CPP just for this game. Why not wait for New 3ds XL? we won't be getting that any time.

Yeah, those face places are really gorgeous and all, but i really want those bigger screens. I had a regular size at launch of the original, and i want the larger screens this time around.

@Sforzando It's been out in Japan for a while now, so I'm not sure if when N3DS is released in the West it'll still be a default app or not. hopefully i'm wrong and it will be. hopefully...

I just thought of this. The ZL and ZR triggers may be harder to reach on the XL version. I guess I'll need more than anything to feel both with my own hands and see which system fits me. I do have large hands, but so does Damo , I imagine. Now that I know about those triggers though, I'm a bit more lenient towards the regular size.

You could still say that these armors still have skills/stats/defenses of their own. When they lose usefulness, like in the G-ranks, you may not see them very often. and they all have elemental weaknesses, so if it's weak to ice i don't imagine many hunters hunting an ice monster. You do present a valid point on the armor, but i'm just trying to mollify what's possible.

As for "if you don't like DLC, don't download it," it is free DLC after all. and it's not like people play this game for the story. The point is to have fun, and having a Link or Samus armor cameo is pretty fun. I personally have no problem with the armors and weapons, and i can't wait to try them out. I do also see the likelihood of extremists kicking players based on armor preference, which upsets me.

event quests are DLC, no? i don't remember seeing any event quests at Tanzia Port until I downloaded them.

I do admit that the DLC for this is a little abusive, but it's all optional and free. so if you don't want it, don't download it and it won't intrude at all! That's what I'm doing, and i plan to enjoy MH4U.

@edcomics at that point, it's more about game design than realism for monster hunter. it would be a lot easier to craft weapons and armors if you had the whole carcass, which would dull the gameplay. So as a result, you're restricted to how many times you can carve.

I blame the desire sensor all the time, and i know it's fiction. I got a plate the very first time fighting lagiacrus, and i didn't even care about his armor. but when i farm dire miralis because i need his scale, i seem to be getting hellwings, dragon gems, and immortal hearts.

i think everyone knows the desire sensor isn't real. duh, how is it possible for the game to sense what your looking for? obviously, the players made it up so they have something to blame for not getting a weapon, and I'm okay with that.

I have reserved money for this and a N3DS model. I am so ready for this.

everyone wants to copy Minecraft. I'll probably end up getting this on my N3DS because there isn't a real minecraft.

wait, in Japan the XL system is 22,800 yen, approx. $172 USD. The New XL is sold in Australia/NZ for approx. $222 USD. Why is it more expensive in Australia/NZ?

That's what we really need. I imagine it'd also spark interest with new people if MEGAMAN was in the game.

If it comes to both, I'll probably still get the 3DS version. The WiiU version would seem simpler though. There's no confusion on if the game will work on the WiiU, whereas people are flipping tables because they don't know if the 3DS version works with the CPP, or if it's a New3DS exclusive, etc etc.

The demo is absolute potato quality for newcomers into the series. as a newcomer, I was immediately appalled by the game and didn't look back at the game until I heard positive things about it on reddit and word of mouth. So I bought the game. long story short, the game teaches you how to play better than the demo does.

first thing I noticed, even before watching the video.

The first thing that came to my mind when I saw the title of the game was that unpopular Gorillaz album under the same name. It's my favorite though. Game is good, and the album is amazing.
