Re: Video: Get Lost In Space As We Take You Through The Epic Opening Level Of Call Of Duty: Ghosts

HappyHappyist

its unfortunate that C.O.D can't have one level without looking down the barrel of a gun, EVEN WHEN THE LEVEL IS IN SPACE. does that even make sense? why are people attacking you in space? who are they attacking? what i'm getting out of that intro is, why are those people attacking you, and who are they? are they space terrorists or something, because i highly, highly doubt terrorists would ever go to SPACE of all places. the space segment could have been a great place to make the player stop moving and watch what happens. what they had was a great idea, but they ruined it with stupid space terrorists and making the player shoot a gun. (i'm not even sure guns would work like that in space. i'm no scientist, so i could be wrong, but i must question if that is even possible.)

i hope that got my point across. believe me, it is great that nintendo is doing the morally right thing, it really is. if they knew people were creating child pornography and did nothing about it, they'd be in legal hot water. hell, i dont support the idea of child pornography, and if i knew nintendo let it slide, i'd stop buying nintendo products all together. why? because it's just morally wrong to do that.

they have the right idea, and as far as they know, it's the right thing to do. but they're making everyone suffer for the fault of the minority, and that is not right. all of the hate and anger directed at nintendo right now is because they dont have an account system. if they did, SN and Flipnote Friends wouldnt be taken away. if they had an account system, they could punish the culprits and be done with it. Re: Eiji Aonuma Confirms Minor Changes to A Link Between Worlds to Accommodate 2DS

wow, what is wrong with some of you guys? before, everyone was bashes the 3D as a gimmick, now because they want to make a game that everyone can play in 2D, you're all raging like fanboys. did you really think nintendo would allow themselves to make a game that's only playable in 3D? there are parental controls on the 3DS so parents can turn off the 3D for younger players (like 6 year olds). people also turn the 3D off because their eyes tend to hurt when they have it on too long. on top of all that, there is a system called the 2DS, where 3D isn't even an option all that in mind, do you really think nintendo would make a game where you have to have the 3D turned on in order to play? open your minds up a bit.

this is just stupid. Minaj uses language worse than that in her own music, and other "artists" use worse language that her! by now, probably everybody's heard her song on the radio or on her album or something, so no one should be surprised even if she's saying a racial slur. i guarantee no one cared when it's just the song, but since it's nintendo that their working with, and since everyone has the idea that nintendo is for kids, it's suddenly a big deal.

Re: Video: Here Are Some Reasons to Love Animal Crossing: New Leaf, If You Need Them

@Marakuto @PinkSpider @Zack777
wow! i forgot i wasn't allowed to have an opinion! God forbid i have an opinion that differs from yours! foolish me! seriously guys, i say it's an upgraded version of farmville and everyone acts like i insulted your family or something.

okay, maybe i was a bit vague, so let me elaborate. i said it was like farmville because neither games really have a goal to reach, you're just kind of there, doing it. the "fun" of the game comes from doing things that aren't really "fun", like planting trees, and paying debt, and fishing, and so on. i mean, i'd rather play this than actually do that stuff in real life, but it still shouldn't be called "fun" because it isn't real.

and i never said farmville and animal crossing were the same. farmville is terrible, and i will say that out loud any day, but what makes animal crossing an upgrade is that animal crossing has SOUL. you're generally still doing the same stuff (or at least, similar stuff) in this game as you would in farmville, so it isn't that fun to me still.

and the reason why i find this game so difficult FOR ME, is that i don't know what exactly to do. it takes too long to make any progress in the game (you always need to wait until the next day until you can do something or when something happens), thus i have too much downtime. any activity gets either boring quickly for me (fishing, bug catching, etc.), or i need to wait a day in order to do (stores don't add anything new until the next day). it takes too long to accomplish anything in the game, and the build-up to accomplishing said goal is terribly weak.

any time i try making something pretty, i try to give it a theme (i dont want just random stuff in my house, it needs to look good), but whenever i go shopping in the game, they never have anything that will look good in my house. and actually, the shopping district hardly ever has what i'm looking for to make my town or house look pretty. the reason i have 3 failed towns is because they always end up looking so ugly or being so terrible i cant put up with it. in two towns for example, i planted too many trees, so i can hardly walk anywhere without bumping into a tree, and the trees always hide something behind them. so i cut them down with an axe, and i cant get rid of the trees, and they're still hideous! i can see what they hide, but i still bump into them, so my problems isnt fixed yet!

oh, and @Zach777 , i could go without the name-calling, thank you. and are you really resorting to pointing out a spelling error to make me look like a n00b? that's really sad. and as a matter of fact, i hate shooters. that is all.

and @Thulfram , thank you for being the only person who hasn't attacked me because i dont understand how to play animal crossing. reading your comment made me feel so much better after being attacked by everyone else

Re: Review: The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker HD (Wii U)

HappyHappyist

frame drops... it seems EVERY SINGLE WIIU GAME HAS THIS... seriously, this is a first party title, couldn't they have dealt with this?

also, one of my problems with the original was, during sailing, the boat clips with the ocean, and though it seems like a minor gripe at first, it's a BIG deal to me because sailing is a big part of the game, and the longer i have to stare at the boat clipping with the ocean, the more it grinds on me. and it looks like it's even worse in the HD version, because it clips even MORE. ugh, i thought about getting this, but now i feel sick. i can't buy this anymore.

Re: Soapbox: Why Grand Theft Auto V Isn't For Me

HappyHappyist

tl;dr : GTA isn't the same, play some Nintendo!

GameSpot's Carolyn Petit may have awarded it 9/10, but she also branded it "politically muddled and profoundly misogynistic", adding that the game had little room for female characters outside of "strippers, prostitutes, long-suffering wives, humorless girlfriends and goofy, new-age feminists we’re meant to laugh at." Many within the industry may rally against sexism, but I fail to see how they can be comfortable with playing a title as shamelessly sexist as this.

now i haven't played a GTA game yet, so don't take my word for gospel or whatever, but here's what i understand about the topic. ahem, i think that GTAV might not be as sexist as we make it. as long as prostitutes and hookers and people like that exist, women are still going to be portrayed like that. as for girlfriends and feminists, i'll fold.
like i said, i haven't played a GTA game before, i'm just going off of my own knowledge. if i'm wrong about anything, please let me know.

Re: Aonuma Explains His Quest to Have Improved the "Overall Game Flow" of The Wind Waker HD

HappyHappyist

i'm really on the fence for buying this game. on one hand, it's a remake, and i already have the original. that should be enough not to buy it, but on the other hand, i still want to play this with the gamepad. i've been shifting whether to buy this or not for months, not even kidding.

see, i don't really support remakes or rereleases. i think it's a GREAT way to play classics, but that's easily doable with Virtual Console. what i mean is this: without a remake, people have to hunt down an old game online, then they have to pay lots of cash, depending on how old it is (and then, if you want the original box and manual, you might have to pay a lot extra). so in that respect, a remake is a good idea, right? well... not for me. nintendo can ALWAYS put the game on Virtual Console, then you might only have to pay a couple bucks for the game, whereas in contrast, if you bought the original it would cost a LOT more. so Virtual console kind of defeats the purpose of a remake for me.

all that said, you might think i dont even want to buy this, ESPECIALLY since i already have the original. but on YET ANOTHER HAND, i will buy a remake, provided it's done right. a game like Halo:Combat Evolved Anniversary is a good example of a GREAT remake. the game gives you the option to switch back and forth between the older graphics and the remastered graphics, so you can see how much the game has actually evolved from the original, if that makes sense. i already owned the original copy of Halo: CE, but that option made it a must-buy for me. i just wish nintendo did that with OoT3D or with WWHD, otherwise i wouldn't be constantly switching back and forth between whether i want to buy this or not.

and if you read all that, congratulations. say what you will about what i have to say, call me an idiot, whatever. that's how i feel on the current situation.

OH! and if Aonuma really should draw any inspiration from Skyrim, it should be the size of the overworld, and that alone, IMO. Skyrim was HUGE, and i had fun exploring even without a current objective. in all honesty, cant imagine myself playing a zelda game exactly like skyrim though. i want ZeldaU to have the Size of skyrim (and this overworld should be filled with lots of people, don't make it barren. sidequests should be made available in the new zeldaU too), but that's about it.

Re: Weirdness: Say Hello to the Cross Plane, a GamePad For Other Systems

HappyHappyist

so... it's a controller that displays the exact same thing as whats on your PC or TV? come on. that makes no sense. even if that's what half the WiiU games are doing, WiiU still offers a more unique experience. and if a gamepad is more expensive than a home console that comes with a gamepad of it's own (with a touch screen), you got problems.
