I'm glad to see my contemporaries sharing similar views. Keep Link silent but allow other characters to talk! It adds so, much more to the game and and even the lore to have voice acting. I'm glad Link has had options to say things but never speaks in past games. I'd like for his dialogue to have more crucial consequences. But keep him silent
Has anyone toyed with the idea that this Smash game could be the true Ultimate Edition, having every Smash game to date ported to the NX? Is that viable?
People aren't a fan because it doesn't have face buttons. What if it used Tactus Technology as well — buttons raised from touchscreen? (though you'd think we'd see some sort of leak about this)
Has anyone or does anyone know someone who has played the arcade version? How is it — what's it like? I was initially disinterested but... I'm rather curious now.
This was one of the first games that got me into gaming. Superb music, one of the best Mario stories, plenty of caveats (for my younger self) to discover... I await the day that Square Enix and Nintendo get their act together and make a direct sequel.
I just hope they aren't as biased as ESPN is to East Coast Sports... ...but then again.
Even though Activision Blizzard has its IPs, do you think it would knock out any other games from the MLG circuit? I feel like there'd be a backlash of a sort.
I still wait for a better interface with the item selection. Beyond that, I enjoy my Minecraft for Wii U. Though, now moving in with roommates—one of them who introduced me to the PC Beta—I'm sure I'll get some contempt regarding my time on a "lesser" version
What is the top selling eShop item of all time in Japan?
@day I remember getting this game during the Beta days. It was all about exploration back then... and not dying by creepers. It's now... different. I'm still getting it, but the persona definitely has changed. That all said, it would be good to have that disclaimer. I'm with ya there!
I run the game on a 50" screen and I need to scoot up. I'm moving out to a new place, using a 30some" TV and I'm concerned.
Part of me wonders if they make the text so small so we can appreciate the landscape of the game better. After all, the massive world is impressive. That said, the text is utterly frustrating. People who say it's a passive impression on the gamer: I find ludicrous. It's a map. It's text. It needs to be used.
Really? You get frustrated that certain Pokemon are far? Some peeps need to travel more often. In hesitant to get this game but it sure looks v like fun
I wish Geno was a character... oh well. When I heard "Forest Maze" music, though, I leapt out of excitement. I look forward to actually getting a Mii Costume... I guess.
I told myself that I was not going to get any Nintendo games—in fact, there are no games at all on my phone. I want to interact with the world, after all. Having Facebook app and internet access is bad enough.
However... with Miitomo, I think there's an exception. I think the idea is quite interesting. I... do find it odd to cater to shy people. I'm hardly the most outgoing person there, but I do believe interaction with others is important. Part of me wonders how much this will hinder interaction rather than actually implement.
@MrRight Ha. While I appreciate what these other games have done for the Wii U and the effort they put into making a version of Minecraft on the Wii U... ...Minecraft is Minecraft. I've enjoyed the game since I downloaded the beta. I do wish things reformed back to that stage, but it is what it is. The fact that Minecraft is on the Wii U means that I will be playing it.
I have never played Minecraft on anything but Windows. How does online multiplayer for a console work? Or local for that matter? And I'm guessing that this doesn't interact with other versions of Minecraft, correct? I can't play on a Windows server?
You lose the sense of magical wonder when taking this style. Aonuma points to it clear when he says that Zelda is a game taking peaceful situations and turning them upside down — like fireflies being scattered. This just looks like Link has seen too much.
Whenever I traverse this site I sometimes wonder what you guys want. People who argue that 3rd Party support (or lack thereof) is what's killed the console should not say anything but praise about this announcement. This game will always be on the top selling-list (at least for another half decade). Why shoot this down?
Okay. People who aren't fans of Minecraft, I get it. This news doesn't excite you. But boy, think beyond yourselves. This truly is big news for Nintendo. A game that a lot of kids (and formerly adults, though big kids still get a kick out of it) play on a console that appeals to a primarily non-M rated audience is solid news. It's too bad it wasn't featured in the Direct.

Re: Platinum Games Celebrates its Ten Year Anniversary
I think Star Fox Zero will be my first Platinum game. I should delve into other games...

Re: Poll: Which Nintendo Franchises Do You Most Want to See With the NX Launch?
There's a missing option : a good Zelda side story and that doesn't use Link

Re: Wii Street U Service Being Discontinued In March, Leaving eShop This Month
I'm curious what percent of Wii U owners knew about this. I, for one, was excluded.
Re: Random: Someone At Walmart Took Shovel Knight's Name A Little Too Literally
Beyond the utter strangeness...
...that's great that Shovel Knight is a best seller
THe other night I was just listening to an interview with Sean Velasco. I'm really hoping him and Yacht Club Games go far!
Re: Rumour: Intelligent Systems Is Working On New Paper Mario For Wii U
If this is a Wii U game and the new console comes out soon, raise your hands if you think this might be ported to the NX?
Re: Eiji Aonuma and Malo Begin Talking About The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess HD
@ICHIkatakuri I suspect they could have two games in one (just like Master Quest). One mirrored with Wii version and one GCN
Re: Pokkén Tournament Modes and Details Emerge
@Phantom_R everything everyone else said is true, but that doesn't negate the fact that Sakurai is literally magical.
Re: Pokkén Tournament Will be Picking Fights on 18th March

Re: Pokkén Tournament Modes and Details Emerge
LAN! LAN! Why don't more devs use this???
Re: Nintendo's European Sites Give Mario & Sonic At The Rio 2016 Olympics An August Release Date
That's strange... Do people play these games when the Olympics are over?
Re: Poll: Are You Optimistic About Nintendo's 2016?
Zelda in and of itself will be great. It may not be to the same luster I have in my head, but it will be great. Everything else, we'll see.
Re: Gallery: Have a Gawk at The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess HD's Boxart
@burninmylight @abbyhitter
I think there were more spoilers in this thread than on the box art (though the Zant in you-know-who definitely caught my eye......)
Re: Gallery: Have a Gawk at The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess HD's Boxart
For people who haven't played [or finished] the game yet, I'm going to explain a spoiler that people might not have caught. Way to go,@abbyhitter
Re: Wii U System Version 5.5.1 is Now Available

Re: Review: Ocean Runner (3DS eShop)
Not a criticism on the game but a query about the genre: how many people really pay for an endless runner/swimmer?
Re: Review: AVOIDER (Wii U eShop)
Did the trailer just show everything that's in the game?
Re: Random: Super Smash Bros. for Wii U and 3DS Picked Up a People's Choice Award

Wait. It closed in the early 90s? Didn't Hudson Soft make the better Mario Party Games up until 9?
Re: Feature: The Biggest Wii U Games of 2016
This might be Nintendo's last full year of Wii U, but I don't think NX will be coming out in the Fall.
That said, I'm surprised for those who voted on Project Guard being the most anticipated game for this year =.=

Re: Review: Minecraft: Wii U Edition (Wii U eShop)
Part of me wants to buy it just because it's on the TV and it's Nintendo's version. But really... I have the best version out there: PC. Mmm...
@uhhhhhhh hahahhaha Skyrim is the reason I haven't beat Twilight Princess =.=

Cool idea, but it wouldn't be conducive to games that really rely on sight

Re: Linkle to be Considered for Future Legend of Zelda Titles
I'd rather her be a spinoff character than a different option in a future title.
I personally like the idea of Linkle being Link's sister. However, it'd be better if it were Aryll gone B.A. Or at least cool
