Clicked on this thinking it’d be a Warriors update. Dangit, I always get the two mixed up. Anyway, installed Heroes ages ago, have yet to open it, lol.
Oh, if only the weak Wi-Fi was my problem! I‘ve been on and off working to fix the fact the router I received at the beginning of August pretty much blocks all online gaming and that not even since I got it but since the beginning of October, from one hour to the next. Sure, portforwarding solves that but I‘ll have to activate and deactivate some of those depending on the console I wanna play online on. Also, I think of this as only a temporary solution as it still doesn‘t tackle the root of the issue nor the fact that this happened so suddenly. So I called up the IP today, good old Vodafone, got a FritzBox from their Kabel Deutschland subsidiary for the better part of a decade. Luckily I got a guy who at least knew how I was feeling as he owned a PlayStation, too. Pretty much told me he‘d send a new IPv4 address, which solved nothing, and told me to call up AVM, the company producing my router, saying the issue was in the configuration of my router. But I changed zero things with it between installing it and the moment it decided to just do away with online gaming. Luckily, portforwarding has worked on Switch for more than a month now and it seems to do so on Xbox, too, but I don‘t frequent there too often.
Anyway, sorry for all the ranting and rambling, this guide kinda provoked me to let all the frustration out, which in itself is always good thing, I‘d say.
Honestly, after reading this review and hearing Alex‘s comparisons between the Switch and Xbox versions, I‘ve decided to outright cancel my preorder of the Switch version and buy the PS4 version instead. Saves me 10 bucks, too! I‘m rather sad to do this but this is just bordering on unbearable.
No thank you. Just go back to the classic Mario Party 2 style and cut out all the unnecessary stuff like heavy item use, 1-player-events that have little impact on the other players and shorten the surprise events. To this day, 20 rounds in MP2 feel shorter to me than 10 in the later GC/Wii titles.
Ah, this takes me back. Anyone remember Domino Day by Robin-Paul Weijers? Used to watch that on RTL as a kid until falling asleep on the couch. Recorded most of them on VHS, which is useless now lol.
I may be european and thus already fought over cold or warm breakfast this month, but if I could join an american Splatfest, I‘d go with Team Sci-Fi. First of all, I‘ve learned my lesson, and that is Pearl almost always wins in the west. Secondly, Fantasy would probably take place around the Middle Ages and I DO NOT wanna live during the Middle Ages.
@rjejr Well, since it‘s out of its packaging, why not try it out? Only read online that it‘s not showing you coins like other Bowsers do. It is listed as a supported Amiibo on Nintendo‘s official site but then again, pretty much all amiibo are supported in Odyssey and it isn‘t listed what each of them do.
Oh hey, another game I've heard good things about, am willing to purchase it day one and won't ever touch due to being overwhelmed by ... let's see ... December was it? I already blame Xenoblade 2.
Didn‘t expect this to be worse than Forces. But then again, I, as a Kirby fan, have zero interest in this and it looks like I was right in skipping this entirely. Can‘t wait for Star Allies next spring.
I may not have the game yet but I already read the story. It's so disappointing. Infinite could've been a cool nemesis and the idea of bringing back past villains is good, too, but the execution is the issue. Should've made a Generations 2 instead!
I still have to go back and do the Master Trials or whatever that is called. Held back on it because I‘m not that good at the game as I once was and figured I‘d get good again for the entire DLC instead for the first and second packs seperately. Prob end up playing Xenoblade 2 first so this will have to wait a while longer.
With Odyssey out of the way, this is my most anticipated title of the year. After being rather disappointed with X and its lifeless doll characters and its story (and the fact we had a silent, custom character, never a fan of those in rpgs), I must say I LOVE the way this game looks, its character and monster designs and the entire setting. It‘s the Xenoblade sequel I always wanted.
Now give me a Mario Maker 2.0 with more enemies, items, themes, slopes, placeable lava and water pools and so on. SMM is the most fun I ever had in 2D Mario.
@NEStalgia Yeah, me too. Except the excitement part. I just can‘t get excited for a Sonic game anymore and weirdly enough, I‘ll still pick it up day one, beat it in one or two days and have zero recollection about the entire experience the next day. It almost feels like playing the game on autopilot.
@Rafke It has happened at that store rather often about a decade ago, hasn‘t happened in years. But never to that extent, afternoon or evening before the official launch date, yes, not several days in advance. Well, considering games usually release on Fridays, I can understand why they were a tad confused.
Was already available in a local store last Friday. Didn‘t pick it up considering I had to make an already expensive purchase that day. Ugh, what a waste of money. Will look for it tomorrow, though, I don‘t have high hopes considering the lack of reviews the day before launch.
I feel like I already know enough and don't wanna have this spoiled any further but I also know that I'll definitely watch the Direct no matter my feelings right now.
I play it from time to time on PC. Despite the lack of analog triggers, which for many seemed to be an issue in the WiiU version, I‘ll buy it, I think.
Not really a fan of 2D Mario given I grew up playing 3D platformers like 64 or Sunshine. Despite my nostalgia for both, Odyssey is clearly the best of all Marios to me and a welcome return to my Mario.
Oh so you have all this stuff and you won‘t market it as such? Sure, all eyes were on Odyssey before but now‘s a tiny bit too late. You know I have both versions as well as a Pokeball 2DS XL preordered so just take my money, I guess.
It depends on the game mostly. If it‘s a game of a scale like Mario Odyssey or BotW, I mostly play it docked. Games best enjoyed with the Pro Controller like Splatoon are also played on tv. Games like Mario x Rabbids or most Nindies, I like to play in handheld, coiled up in a blanket, laying on the bed.
Was about to ask when and how you‘d unlock the Gold Mario costume but I just gathered enough Moons for me to be told there were new items in stock so when I went to check, it was them. Still got 3000 altogether.
I don‘t have time for warm food like waffles, pancakes and the like nor would I eat stuff like that in the morning. Way too greasy and they make me feel tired. I think I‘ll go cold, just not the coffee please.

Re: Portal Knights is Just a Week Away on Nintendo Switch
Played it on PC a bit. If I need to scratch that Minecraft itch, I'll play Minecraft and if it's just the Switch version.
Re: Phantom Breaker: Battle Grounds Overdrive Heads To Switch Early Next Month
Looks fun. If it's got a good (cheap) price, I'll get it.
Re: Naughty Hackers Have Homebrew Running On Switch Now
Time to bring on them stability updates! My Switch turned to jelly and fell out of its dock this morning, it's that unstable.
Re: Video: Check Out Resident Evil Revelations Collection's Motion Controls And amiibo Support

Too ... busy with ... all those games ... can't take ... all of this ... at once.

Faster saving? Thank christ! Takes ages sometimes. Good to see bugs being fixed, too, though I have yet to run into any myself.

@MintFox Don‘t think they‘ll do that with the way bonuses work. Plus, it‘s only ever closed like 12 hours or so from session to session.

The frustration is part of the enjoyment in this one imo. But due to November‘s games avalanche, I‘ll wait on this one till next year or so.
Re: Guide: Super Mario Odyssey: Cap Kingdom Power Moons Map and Walkthrough
@rjejr Do you have a Bowser amiibo laying around? Any (except for the Skylanders one) can show you where regional coins are when scanned in.
