I‘d so love to play Splatoon some more but Xenoblade‘s story is too gripping to let go for long. Not too big of a Ranked Modes fan tbh. The original three all have this one thing where the teams inevitably meet. With Turf War, you can paint the turf here or there or wherever. Now with the baskets, this rule still applies to CB but a bit less so. I‘ll still play it for the day but I don‘t know, if there‘s one Ranked Mode I‘d go out of my way to play, it‘s probably Clam Blitz. Fingers crossed we‘re getting that Museum map soon!
Was going through the eShop a few hours ago and saw it. Never played them and for this price, it looks like a steal! Had just enough cash on my account left to download it.
Prob among my least favorite kingdoms tbh. The japanese castle idea is brilliant but I wished it wasn‘t just little islands and walls but more a connected area like all the other kingdoms.
Honestly, this is pretty low on my priority list. Just gotta finish Xenoblade 2 first which, judging from my progress so far, will take at least until Christmas. Then, I‘d rather play Splatoon or some of the other games I‘ve still got laying around.
You seriously want my very last penny, don‘t you, Switch? Well, you just know that I can‘t say no to you. Now, just release Chrono Trigger, Square, will ya!
I still think a strategy game where you need to support and grow your own little tribe with this art style would‘ve been better. At least, it‘s a good 2D platformer.
Better BotW than PUBG (that game‘s not even completed yet, it shouldn‘t get any awards yet) but I‘m sorry for Persona 5, my personal GOTY by quite a large mile and my favorite game of all time.
Doesn‘t look as sharp but other than that I gotta say, I‘m really looking forward to giving this another chance over the Holidays (well, it and a bazillion other games). Especially after having replayed Tooie over the summer, which explained where some of my complaints in regards to YL‘s game design came from.
You know, I decided to just forget my hopes of getting a good discount on a PS4 Pro and will just get a bunch of eShop cards to finally download all those titles on my 'Later List', including Batman, Yooka-Laylee, Worms and whatever I can‘t think of right now. Might also add Battlefront 2 and LA Noire to my holiday shopping list.
Originally, I had planned to preload YL but for 40 bucks, nope, gotta wait till Christmas that one. So I purchased Human Fall Flat. For the singleplayer aspect, I‘d give it a 6 (20 bucks for 5 or so hours of playtime). It‘s rather fun figuring out them puzzles with a friend so I encourage to play this game in co-op, which would raise its score to a 8 for me.
Never‘ve been too fussed about VC on past consoles but the Switch‘s portability aspect has made me really interested in replaying the classics (and beyond) on the system. They‘d massively lose money from me if they go with a Netflix-style service because god knows I‘d be buying VC titles like a mad man. Oh well, saves me the mones lol.
Watching me play, my mom says she feels like in the arcade (that and I should stop hurting these poor animals). See, I think that’s where the true usefulness of the japanese VA pack comes into play. You have no idea that they‘re saying the most cringey stuff in all of Alrest, like @Elanczewski mentioned.
I'd rather have had a Sonic Mania-kind of MegaMan 11, or even a MegaMan collection in the style of Sonic Generations with the best levels of past games but it'll do, I suppose.
Aside from the fact that I rarely consume any of the two (too busy with games and life obviously), watching a movie doesn‘t take up nearly as much of my time as reading a book. Plus, Pearl still hasn‘t lost a single european Splatfest since the World Premiere.
I highly doubt we‘ll get one in December, even without all the evidence for a January one in this article. Nintendo should focus all their marketing on software already available and purchasable for the holidays. Plus, Reggie already stated they‘d talk 2018 when it‘s actually 2018.
Ha, called it! So ready for Saturday, that is due to Fridays being the longest workdays for me and once I‘m actually home, the tv is always blocked. You just can‘t start a game like this in handheld mode!
Not too big of a fan on Xbox but I‘ll give them a second chance. At least I‘ll buy it. Whether or not I find the time (and nerves) to actually return to it, depends on XC2.
December 1st is certainly gonna be an expensive one. XC2 Collector‘s Edition, the XC2 Pro Controller and Azure Striker Gunvolt 1+2. All in all, a sum of 215€. Sure wished ASG was up for preorder on the german Amazon site to spread the costs. Luckily this will be the last big purchase this year (unless I still find a good discount on a PS4 Pro).
Add them to my 'later' list. Seriously, at this point, I should give up finding a good discount on a PS4 Pro and just get 200€ worth of eShop cards instead and buy all them great games on that list.
At the point where I am so hyped for this, just watching a second more of it hurts my heart, spoiler or no spoiler. Friday cannot come soon enough. Too bad I‘m always busy until late evening that day. Gonna download the japanese VA pack and am ready to go Saturday morning with the whole next week off.
Tried both Pokémon GO and Mario Run. I feel like both are shallow in terms of gameplay in comparison to their console/handheld counterparts. GO, to me, is a glorified museum the size of the entire planet and lacks the leveling up and battle system I am used to and like in the mainline games. Mario Run ... well, not much of a 2D Mario fan, especially because of the NSMB series, so ...
I‘ve tried some mobile ports of classic games like Sonic CD and such, you know, games built with controllers in mind. And I go and say it right now - I need my buttons, my d-pad, my control stick, anything that I can physically press. It simply was such a weird experience, I stopped mobile gaming altogether until Nintendo began to advertise their games in the mobile space.
Both 3D series are very dear to my heart. Choosing between them - it‘s like choosing between your own two kids. Especially Sunshine and Wind Waker, which are the first two games I ever played and finished (and in Sunshine‘s case, completed) on my own without help from older friends or my father.
Now, if this poll asked for the choice in the franchises‘s 2D endeavors, Zelda by a loooooooong shot. Nothing against SMB but my image of the series is seriously tainted negatively by NSMB.
Ah yes, VVVVV, played this during my first semester at university and would just randomly curse on the way to, in and on my way from university when I had one of these almost ragequit moments. I‘d instantly buy it if I wasn‘t saving up for Batman Telltale and hadn‘t too much to play as it is. Definitely high on my 'later list'.
And another one for the 'later list', welcome aboard. I‘m sorry but with Stardew Valley, Splatoon 2‘s big update, Xenoblade 2 starting next week and working on a short film for university, there is just no time.
Not too big on the new hair styles but new clothes are always welcome, though, I already have my perfect gear sets. I love both of the new stages from the looks of them alone, the return of Walleye and Alowana is also awesome. Level raised to 99? Sure hope the progression is not like in Splatoon 1's raise to 50.
@PipeGuy64Bit Mostly agree with you, though, unlike MP3, where you still had to land on an Item Space, you get your capsules and candy (MP5-8) simply by passing by, giving you potential tactical choices even before rolling your die almost every turn. People who care little for the game will just throw them out wherever but those who do wanna win often thought about it for several minutes (at least from my game experience, playing with friends). And there were so many different ones in the GC titles you had a hard time remembering which capsule did what. I also feel like the GC titles introduced Events that would take much longer than the ones in the N64 days and these would often only give coins, having little effect on the tide of the party. Duel Minigames also became a thing. Yeah, they should just cut down items to a minimum, make events faster and with a minimum of 10 rounds, I doubt anybody would complain it‘s taking so long. But Nintendo‘s solutions to that complaint is like putting a bandage on a tumor. Haven‘t played the newer handheld titles so I can‘t tell how the item situation is over there.
They‘re still making that? Man, feels like almost a decade since I last heard of them. Now, I wonder, though. Which will release first, or even at all? Mother 3 in the west or Mother 4?
I feel like Nintendo is too afraid to return to the good old style of gameplay due to people complaining it‘d take forever. The sole reason each turn felt longer in the later GC/Wii titles was the excessive amount of items you got around every corner. Back in the N64 days, items were rarer so you‘d often just throw the die and move your spaces. The worst that could happen was Chance Time and that rarely ever happened. Plus, only people who don‘t care for the game in the first place complain about turns taking too long.
Decided to start completely fresh with Overwatch on Xbox (still have my account on PC, though, it‘s just such a bother setting up the pc, booting up the pc, start battle.net, wait for it to launch Overwatch). So yeah, I‘m excited to use Moira, the new hero. First post-launch character I actually like if I‘m honest.
Also gonna play Salmon Run in Splatoon 2, prob check out UltraSun and try to get in some playtime in Rocket League. So yeah, busy weekend.

@OorWullie 60 Seconds on Switch, you say? I quite like that game. Can‘t wait to play on the go!
Re: Mom Hid My Game! Gets a Festive Release on the Switch eShop
I‘ll prob end up spending enough cash on the eShop these holidays as it is, no need for this.
